People watched your channel before you hooked up with Kayla for a reason - for your knowledge & expertise & interest in variety of items. It would have been nice to see what you were looking at & considering. I like watching you two together for sure. You’re adorable & a good team, but it would have been nice to see what had caught your eye, as well as your reasoning for either buying or not buying whatever it was.

I agree with you! Matt knows his stuff too! That’s what makes the two a team is they each have an individual eye for variety of things, not always the same. I see Matt’s interest in something & if Kayla doesn’t show an interest he puts it down without even looking it up. Matt knows his stuff. I’ve watched his channel before he hooked up with Kayla. I enjoy both of them together now, too.

yes! I think people love vintage and buying things on ebay, but i feel there also is a strong pull buying used to save our landfill! Kayla, you should definitely mention it more often than you already do! Its such a wonderful thing!
I carry wet wipes when I go thrifting so I can clean stuff when I get something that I need to wear right away. Or wash my hands!!!
I have wet wipes and always have purely on me or in my car. My hands always feel so disgusting after thrifting. Plus I only buy whatever can be disinfected or washed. Even if I plan on reselling because you never know where that stuff has been. Plus you don't want to bring all that dust,dirt and germs inside your house. Clean it and put it away.
We started doing this because I like to look at rusty old tools and hand sanitizer just won't do in that case.
@@jiminlover8212 - I read an article where mouse/rat droppings were found in between the pallets of clothes at the thrift stores, Good Wills, etc. That turned me off to buying clothes at the thrift stores!

You can use food grade mineral oil to clean up the wood on the laquer trinket boxes, I use it all the time on all kinds of wood pieces that look dull or dried out and it makes the wood look so healthy.
Wood does need moisture or it drys so much, cracks, and breaks. This especially pertains to those woven baskets that were so popular. Moisturize those with water in a mister, or even outside with a hose.

Most people wipe down & use fungal spray when buying used shoes to wear.
You can easily contact toes fungus if the previous owner had it. You actually should do this on new shoes as well. In case they were previously tried on. You just never know what yuckies are hanging around.
That’s what I was thinking. You make a living selling used items, including used shoes.

Used shoes do need to be wiped down thoroughly, u can stuff some antibacterial wipes into the toe bed and let them stay there til they dry out or you sell

Just a tidbit of info. Those scraps of material at that one garage sale are “fat quarters” for making quilts.
I find using your camera zoom to read small print works pretty good or sometimes I just take a pic and enlarge the photo, which is sometimes clearer.

I know you guys avoid smells on clothing and fabric things but if you add a cup of white vinagar to the wash is cuts smells. It even gets rod of cat pee.
We don't pay taxes at our goodwill. I can't believe other states charge taxes. How many times can one dollar be taxed. Unbelievable.
I agree it sucks. NJ is charged tax on housewares and stuff, not clothes. Dumb
We have that where I live too, but it wasn't always like that. All 2nd hand items, (which were already taxed once), were tax exempt, as it SHOULD be.

I got a fossil hand bag at Goodwill today for $5.99. It’s very nice no rips smells tears wear at all it’s an excellent condition. I’m pretty happy about it. I’ve made over $100 this week on marketplace and I posted that purse but who knows. I finally figured out what people want. I sold three vintage milk, cans, and some vintage, rusty garden tools and these iron rusty butterflies on earth metal pole that my brother made. I guess people like yard art
