- After 46 episodes of Banks Built and the truck's debut in the AMSOIL booth at the SEMA Show in 2021, some thought we'd given up on LokJaw. Well, surprise surprise, it's back and better than ever! Our supercharged Duramax-powered 1966 Chevy C20 is about to finally take to the streets. "I've never had an engine that responds like this," says Gale Banks with a smile from ear to ear. "High-compression big block Chevy with a blower. This guy is the champion."

Our Gale, who art in thy shop,

@@jarrodheley7879 Thy garage come,
Thy Duramax be done

The supercharged diesel sounds so good, I wish we had more audio of it
I knowww that blower sound at idle gives me the bumps.
It pitches my tent
That truck is an incredible achievement. Just an insane amount of time, money and hard work went into conceiving, designing and building it. Well done
This is why banks is incredible to work with. I bought an exhaust recently and in the ordering process I spoke with Tina in the phone and mentioned that we needed to see lockjaw run. And she said she sent over a message. One week later this video came out. They actually received a message and delivered. I’m going to be banks from here on out. No doubt.
Mr. banks I'm 30 years old my name is chase pounders iv been a diesel tech for the last 8 years , I just recently heard your name for the very first time. Iv been watching your channel and looking into what you've done in the engineering world for the last 30 years and wow just absolutely mind blowing your career has been. I'm a Chrysler technician currently and after much due diligence iv bought a 2014 2wd jeep grand Cherokee limited with the 3.0l Eco diesel. I bought your 3" monster exhaust for it and I'm very much looking forward to building this vehicle using banks parts ill be purchasing the derringer and a few extra sensors very soon. I wish I would have known about you sooner. But don't worry ima going to do my part to make you a household name on the east coast I promise. iv been in my shop for the last month talking to everyone about your videos and what you've done in your career .
Awesome build and you guys are so lucky to work with Gale, what a cool guy!
One of the coolest trucks I’ve ever seen. Great job guys, you can definitely tell you put blood sweat and tears into that thing!
i loved Gales response when he reved the engine
Glad to finally see this project get finished and used. Cant wait.
wow! I am glad you brought it back and are going to complete it. Thanks!
Can't wait for a proper shake-down. I want to see it all! No point in having huge capabilities without using it...
I so VERY want to see this thing do some passes at the dragstrip, wanna see what it's actually capable of
I've been waiting to see this build get finished... I'll be watching!
Very cool pickup. Lots of great high tech parts and quality fab work to get it to where it is. Would love to see some tire smoking burn outs with it. Maybe even a wheel dyno pull to see what it has to the ground
Glad to see another video on LokJaw, a very thorough and impressive build, cant wait to see Gale cruising it down the street!
Yessss! So glad to see this project come back!
Bank’s really knows how to build them and he just keep’s on improving with his Old age 😅. Great truck, cant wait to see the rest when it’s done!!!!
The way the bed lifts up to show off that craftsmanship is absolutely wild
Wow that is a build you can only do if you win the lotto, or your Gale. Awesome job guys!
Hands Down there's none better then Gail Banks when it comes to diesel engines this man is a legend and a God of diesel power
Sick amount of planning and great execution.
Couldn't agree more!
Glad that yall are back on this project. Thanks for improving the military stuff as well.
That video y'all did when it was first lit off was hilarious man.
Gale definitely needs to do a massive burnout.
I saw that look in his eyes
What a killer showpiece
This is the most incredible and well thought-out build I have ever seen. .the Banks team and everybody involved rocked it!!!! When is the giveaway for this truck? :)
Thanks for catching us up.
You bet
What a team the God father of diesels Gale, grandson Erik and the talented Banks team
👌👌👌
Such a bad ass truck! Love it.
Great to see since I had convinced myself SEMA was nothing now except store bought 24s and neon underglow these days .
What a work of art that is! Gale is incredible with a diesel engine
Nice to see it back. Thought you were done with it, hadn't seen anything for awhile
I've been impatiently waiting for this thing to pop back up. Lol. LET'S GO!
only banks takes the time to fully model a project car in cad to the tee, this is why banks is the best
Awesome work as always guys!!!
That is one sick truck! Absolutely beautiful.
It sure is!
Bank's #1, hands down
MAN I miss the weekly Banks tech vids!
G.O.A.T. Gale Banks, he should have a Masters degree in engine building... Wait is there such a thing, there should be... stay tuned...
Can't wait to see it rolling on the streets.
The header fab was exquisite
That "J C" at 8:30 says it all!
Exactly
Outstanding Craftsmanship !!!
Truly a work of art
Followed the build closely, glad to see more content
About time this shows up again
I want that motor in a front-mid arrangement, manual trans, like a sports car, but modern. Say, maybe, a Colorado? Or dare I say, a CTS/CT5? I know the engineering would be a handful, but I absolutely LOVE how quick it revs, it deserves to be in a chassis that can handle it.
great video, nice overview done!
way to go Mr. Banks and CREW
It's back!
My god this is scientific art Flippin beautiful
Love it!! Wish one or both of my cars looked as good. Would love to see a lowrider version of this truck. As always good job. Keep up the good work!!
Just an amazing beast to behold!
SUPER AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super nice build, just super nice!
Only if a manufacturer could build a truck like this.....and those wheels are awesome
If you have a spare 1.5mil i am certain you can have your own.
@@RedmistAU right....😉
I normally do not like these real high-tech biuilds…But this one was really interesting! Thanks guys
Best project ever!
Hi gale love your content. Im from sweden so i love the american diesels. But i think you Will be amazed by the european bmw diesels they got a 3.0 liter quad turbo inline 6 with 400hp and 664 ft-lbs and it is amazing
any video links?
@@Vgk36 yeah just search for BMW m550d 2019
It looks like the Mechano set of my dreams. That engine would be right at home in my Toyota.
So that'd how you secure Gov contracts...good show, good job, defending champeen Banks.
Cant wait for the day my 06 colorado triple turbo 6.6 duramax swap build looks this clean!
I thought you’d given up on this project but good to know we will get to see the finished truck burning some rubber 🤪🤪
That thing is amazing
If I took every genera of automotive & trucking magazine from the magazine rack of my youth, stacked them, added a supercomputer, waved a magic wand; and WHAM: Lockjaw
Awesome
Dude!! There is nothing Suttle about this thing. It just screems monster, all but the skin. Totally awesome!!!!!
C.A.R.B. and E.P.A. compliant too !!
When is the general public supercharged 6.6 conversion option available? I have a 17 L5P and a supercharged version would be glorious to drive down these country roads.
Sweet giveaway truck! You guys are the best! 😉
😂
Way to go,Gale!!!!!!!!
Damn!!! Beautiful!!!
That truck is dope.
I love how they created this monster without emissions.. Gotta love it
What fuel does it burn?
@@mcspikesky uhhh, diesel? Thought that was obvious
Yeah, because it’s a 1966 Chevy C20!😂
I don't if or when I can afford a Banks build but if I can I'm there for sure ❤
..."Awesome-Teamwork ".. ❤.
So AWESOME 👍😁
Id love to see some specs for that supercharged engine compared to how its turbocharged counterparts compare on the dyno. Is it better? torque vs horsepower? Man that thing sounds mad.
Wow the fan blade wheels
Gale banks the 🐐
We ever gonna see a dyno graph of this engine? I'm curious what the power/torque band looks like.
mind blowing
Super bad ass 🏁
Very nice, how much power are you planning on making since Whipple doesn't recommend their new 3.8L for applications under 1,200whp.
All about the air baby
I would love to see you guys did into the data on compound turbos. Seems industry standard is an s475 over stock. Drive pressures, M.A.D. is there a benefit to intercooling both stages?
Phenomenal ❤
Awesome!!
I want one of those engines 😎👍🏼
Wow just Wow.
Amazing engineering. Will you be making the engine’s available as a crate engine ?
I would buy one. This is a great idea
check the website, it's there
Any other content available on the Humvee hybridization project and whether it will be available for us with civilian H1's? (Although I'm loathe to add anymore weight to my rig)
It's strictly a defense project. Not for civilian applications.
Looking to tinker with my OBS 7.3 electrical. Would love for yall to go into detail how you set up your MoTec system. THANKS!
Wait. I think you made a video on that. time to teach myself.
Shred those tires… can’t wait to see it. Please let us hear the engine sound too. Is taking it to the track also an option?
WOW!
What’s the mpg?
When it comes to smiles per gallon, the answer is all of them!
MORE. SUPERCHARGED. DURAMAX.
Sadly I remember hearing about this when you guys first mentioned this build it was supposed to be a at home style project swapping the Duramax into the truck and doing tasteful mods not a let's build a custom truck and graft the bits and pieces of a old truck around it ...
This is way better. they can do the original idea with one of these crate engines after they complete this. The big dolla build first for momentum then the more attainable build for the home guys!
I agree it makes sense to do the big flashy build first but what are the odds of actually seeing a home garage style build ? I mean they never did end up blowing up the stock Duramax like Gale said they would though a 1000hp with stock bottom end is impressive
@@wfw56070 well we have to keep banging the cage in the comments so they can see that there is interest there. So that makes 2 of us 🤣! Because I seriously want to see a budget build. But I also get caught up in the money no object play they gave us. Hahaha BUDGET BUIOD GUYS LET'S GO! 🛻
I still call it Bucky over Lockjaw 😂😅 cause it was a dolla
would deff love me a supercharger intake for a duramax.
Just for git’s and shiggles I hope there is some chassis Dyno time in the future!!
Hopefully banks makes a 6.2 kit again
Thank you all for the
Dream truck I have always
Wanted😎
Got a question do you think that you could build a Duramax that could go 400 mph in a streamliner
So what kind of numbers is the monster of an engine making?
