i went to japan this year it reminds me of japan except there railway network is huge a real eye opener after spending 12 days in japan we got use to their underground subways connecting corridors once this is completed in melbourne it will be good so i hope it doesnt end as melbourne is expanding.
Will you be able to look out of the main entrance from the concourse to see the town hall? In the mock up it seemed like the sight line would be blocked by the roof! Think of the lovely view out to town hall from inside the station, and how much it’d help newcomers know where to go!
I know. I live in Craigieburn. And there is no Logical Reason for Me to be in any of those Stations as they do not Feed the Craigieburn Line. But I swear to God I'm gonna Pay for a Ticket just to experience this Place !!!
Town Hall Station in Sydney is Australia's largest and busiest underground railway station and was the epitome of what was available in 1932 when it opened. Three lines travel through this station across six platforms and far from being a labyrinth it is quite easy to get through. It's biggest enemy is the number of people that use it and this will be solved when Sydney Metro West is completed - which will provide a faster route from Sydney to Parramatta. One would think that Melbourne would get its own station names instead of copying Sydney's.
I think there's something we could do with that. Imagine a huge mural painted on the ceiling, Sistine Chapel style, with Dan Andrews depicted as the bespeckled Creator, his naked body tastefully swaddled in the clouds, and his finger extending out with a little spark connecting to Victoria on an earthly globe, symbolising his creation of the greatest state imaginable.
@@tacitdionysus3220🤢🤢🤢 That idea is as disgusting as the plan to make a bronze statue of him. I'll give him credit for the level crossing removals, but that's all I'm willing to give him.
Very dissapointing to see all the plans dumbed down and made much less aesthetically pleasing since approval from various stakeholders, especially in the Campbell Arcade
Looking forward to seeing it completed.
Platform screen doors and a display showing how full each carriage is, nice.

I take my hat off to the people that are making this happen. 😊
Got to love Melbourne my favourite city!

Will there be underground shops in the stations like you find at Melbourne Central station and Sydneys Wynard station/Town Hall stations.
Really need airport rail done

Gotta wear the hard hat and safety glasses for an interview.
Now Build metro tunnel 2 surburban rail loop ( the whole thing ) and airport rail link oh and continue with level crossing removals
Hopefully it won't be a labyrinth like Sydney's town hall station
Sydney's town hall station is fine.

@@vintageradio3404 the name wasn’t copied, the station is named after the nearby Town Hall
Should have made glass roof
Then the space above would be unusable. It's being returned to being a public space when finished.
@@shaunmckenzie5509 well technically he is right since people don't want to get wet during rain.
All the new stations in Melbourne are truly modernist horrors! Not architecture just dystopia!

Dan Andrew's fault. That's why
