      Can I bother you with a question, I am trying to decided between the Evo Dual 640t V3 and the Mavic 3T. Does the dual allow you to drop a pin on a location where you can fly back to that point or mark an object like the Mavic 3T does. Thanks

    One important thing is the price of the batteries. i stil use a Flir camera on the Phantom and on a regular search i use about 6 to 8 batteries. costs about 180 euro a piece. And since those batteries last for about 100 charges it is about 2 dollar per charge/battery. (6 dollar per hour) That is significant. i don't know the price of the autel batteries but it might be cheaper on the long run.

    Aerial Influence, which drone would you say is top if price were exactly the same for each? I am doing a S&R on my wife's missing Savannah cat, and the price difference doesn't matter. We live in a semi rural area with multi acre properties around us. She has seen him in the distance, but he is way too fast to follow and see where he is going.

    Great video,I wonder how the Autel stacks up against the new Mavic thermal?

  • @robertbondar6640
    @robertbondar6640 2 года назад +1

    I have been told the thermals on the Autel will be a bit more accurate temp-wise considering the Autel is using Flir’s matured 640 sensor vs DJI who is using their own radiometric sensor. Not to mention you can’t zoom in with the DJI and take a photo when using the radiometric camera because it will just take a photo at full view. Which is rather dumb… if I need to zoom into an object to get it in frame and take a temp reading I don’t want the full image DJI.
    Great comparison though, always enjoy your perspective on the drones. Helps move product I’m sure.

      Hi Robert. The Autel 640T is not a Flir thermal sensor. There is another, much more expensive Autel version, which uses a Flir. Also, DJI has fixed their photo problem with the 4k camera, but I will need to check on the thermal photo issue you mention. Thank you for watching!

      LOL do you really think DJI makes their own microbolometer thermal sensors at above 480p res.?
      come on, may I ask where do you get these things from.. are you guessing??

    • @robertbondar6640
      @robertbondar6640 2 года назад +1

      @@JAKOB1977 manufacture their own sensors maybe, but after they were paying Flir to use their propriety sensor in the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual, Zenmuse XT, and XT2 they have switched to either sourcing or manufacturing their own version with the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced and all newer H series payloads.
      I haven’t been able to find out if they are manufacturing or sourcing from another party. I’m leaning towards sourcing but I don’t have a confirmation on that.

      @@robertbondar6640 Thx for answeering, just wanted to hear where you got that information that DJI making are making their own uncooled VOx microbolometer as you very clearly stated that DJI make it themself and used that as a statement of less accurate in regards to fx Flir.
      and I was curious what you based that on and if you were guessing?..but I can read now that you suddenly think they outsourcing it?
      Anyway Robert.. Its certainly not something DJI can do. (very fev can) the last decade a few makers have popped up in China.. before that thermal cameras was highly restricted and to an extent under ITAR regulations and for consumers often limited to every low framerates.. not sure where DJI source their SB 8-14um, 640x512 core from on their latest MP2 Ent ..but they are not making it themself.
      - and temp-accuracy is very relative when you having it on a drone and using it on "environments" at long distances.. as the emissivity is all over the place from all the different materials & temp differences.
      so really not something your focusing on.. its the sensitivity differences.

    Dji mavic 2 enterprise is the only drone I know that can fly above 5m when GPS denied (eg in warehouses) would be interested to see how the autel compares. What's the software interface like? I hate that old Dji pilot software you are forced to use, is there a way to use different software?

  • @heineken42069

    Have to disagree on thermal...Autel should get the point because of the picture in the picture thermal overlay....yes DJI has the side by side, but they aren't the exact same FOV and it's not as useful as the autel thermal overlay ....

    Glad to see Autel competing hard with DJI. There's been some disturbing reports out of Ukraine what DJI may be reporting drone activities to Russian authorities who then target the operators with artillery.

  • @geodrone7643
    @geodrone7643 2 года назад

    What? A tie related to sensor ? What drones did you tested? Grandma's drone?
    Autel is way over DJI at that 640 sensor...way...
    and DJI is over Autel at controlling drone...but for mapping, Autel have another point as is controlled by 2 CPU units and is more precise.
    I also add the fact that Autel have huge experience in mapping and SR as is used by many teams, when DJI is prohibited and will have only options needed by mass, and not by specific teams also.

    The geo fencing will always be a deal breaker so far as I'm concerned. It's worth the extra dollars to tell DJI where they can stick their geo fencing.
