For me, what worked was pressing left alt+shift+print screen. ( my 4 yr old was pressing buttons on my computer and put my computer in contrast mode.)

Personalize
Colors
{goes to setting at 0:49}
{goes to personalize at 0:59}
{ goes to colours at 1:04}
{finally switches to dark mode at 1:52}
