Marriage is so easy in Islam, but our desi culture is what makes it so much difficult. May Allah make it easy for us, and guide us to follow our actual religion and not our cultures and the thought of "log kiya kahenge".

Subhanallah I know this one girl, a family friend who was one year older than her proposed to get married to her, her father said no. That girl was so beautiful back then. After so many years I saw her face and I wanted to cry. She has (admitted to me) that she's committed so many sins with her eyes and hands, you can see the effects of it on her face and eyes 😔 She's become mentally unstable as well.

Its not just about physical desires but emotional aswell. I'll go as far as to say that the emotional aspect is even bigger. Our father Adam was'nt having sexual problem but emotional. He felt lonely. Ask yourself this had you not been fasting would you ever have known what it feels to be hungry even just for one day. NO because most of us never had a day in our life when we could'nt afford a meal. Similarly the elders can never understand what young people are suffering through because most of them got married early in their life. The fitna was'nt this huge. And you know what's ironic? Most of them think that by shaming and telling them how pious they were in their young age as compare to this generation, and that this generation is so shameless. By not letting the young to get married. By closing the doors of halal, by turning your eyes from reality.They are building a better future. What happened happened none of us could travel back in time. But we can change future, we can make sure that our children dont suffer what we suffered.

I am a well educated and practicing Muslimah ALHAMDULILLAH... but facing marriage issues just because of cast issues.. many out of cast good families wish to send marriage proposal but my parents especially my father is not willing to let his children get married out of cast.. i fully understand that in Islam.. no one is superior to other on the basis of cast, color or creed.. but in my country Pakistan.. societal pressure related to marriage within cast is so much that sometimes parents do not have the courage to stand against society norms...i pray to ALLAH S.W.T to grant good practicing spouses to all those who try their best to wait for nikah rather than being involved in haram relationships just hoping that tomorrow it might convert into halal.. but TOMORROW is not promised..death is uncertain..

You are not bound to listen your father at all, and if you can do this on your behalf, i encourage you to marry on your own, and even if you have to compromise on some certain things and status of yourself, do that and I am sure, Allah will give you barakah, rizq and sukoon, that will strengthen you to your deen as well. Zina is a huge sin, a lot of people in order to achieve more of the worldly things keep delaying marriage and eventually fell into the haram pit. In developed countries, people start living seperate from the age of 18, it's not impossible to provide for yourself and your wife, when you're 25 or 26.

@@zeeshansiddiqui658 I always include those who are wanting to get married in the Muslim umah. It’s interesting because we really don’t know but we can only try our best and have tawwakul. Past few days I already knew but learned that like with any goal it’s not going to be easily handed to you meaning it takes time for sure and anything that takes time I believe it’s worth it because you subconsciously develop yourself in the process inshallah may it be the case.
