    Some more information:
    - James is believed to be the only person to break his own one-day record
    - James is one of only two champions (Frank Spangenberg is the other) to have won more than $200,000 in their first five games
    - Every game, his average on Daily Doubles was almost twice as much as his opponents’ combined score
    - Out of the 135 possible Daily Doubles during his time on the show, he found 90 (and was correct on 83 of them)
    - His streak of 28 consecutive correct Final Jeopardy responses is the longest in the history of the show
    - Occasionally, his score going into Double Jeopardy was higher than the average winning score of the previous season; his highest ever score going into Double Jeopardy was $24,600

Some more info: the Jeopardy producers very likely rigged the game to get James out by making it easier. When Ken Jennings played, they made it harder, which worked against him. But James' fast style made that impossible because he could flip through categories and recover better than Ken. They ended up making the game easier so the other contestants had a better chance of getting more money overall, which of course worked. It wasn't like they cheated him, the other contestants still had to be good, but there is some give and take to how challenging they can make any given game based on past games. And there's no money to be made from seeing the same robot beat everyone to death... unless you're making a game show in Japan.

Not to mention he also jumped from topic to topic rather than going up a column he was comfortable with. Abuses neural pathways. His opponents were subconsciously still thinking about the last topic while he's moved to the next one.

The way Jeopardy beat him was twofold as well. First and the most obvious one of the contestants majored in the subject the final question dealt with, and second they made the game extremely easy

Shakespere actually, but thats a common jeopardy topic for one, and they don’t select contestants for certain games by matching topics to their strengths.
