Pokeys57CNC and Mach4 Part 1: Software Installation, Connect to Power and Test Software Connection

This is the first video in a series of videos dedicated to connecting the Pokeys57CNC CNC controller to the Mach4 CNC software. In this video, I show the software that is required for installation and the associated drivers and software that enables the pokeys57CNC controller to function.

Let me know if you have any questions of comments. I would like to know what you would like to see in this series. I was planning on showing basic features, like motor movement and tuning, limit switch wiring and test, and showing how to use the relays to control external devices. Does anyone have any interest in the deep programming aspect of this controller?

I would like more info on the spindle speed control please. My pokeys always runs my spindle at 24000 regardless of what i had in my cam program. TIA

What's a spade terminal?

@@abcqer555 a spade terminal is a "Y" shaped metal connector that crimps to the exposed strands of the end of the wire and can be slid under the screw of the terminal (in this case, the screw terminal of the power supply) and tightened down.

anyway to use the axis limit input + as a -. Trying to setup homing using the screw terminals. They are by default setup to use the axis + limit. But on my Y axis my switch is install on the negative side. I know you can install a ribbon cable and use the negative pin that way. But I was looking for a way to change the input from + to - if possible

Hi , I have purchased pokey57cnc from your website some days ago. But not able to connect it so far, first it shows error " Emergency switch input not configured (pin 52 must be used )". Further my computer is behaving unexpectedly , pdf files are opening and closing itself , youtube video itself starts and stops untill pokey57cnc is connected to computer. Kindly guide , what to do
