    Hey bro, so glad I saw this! I’m 32 yrs old and still struggling in this area. Not sure if you ever thought of it this way but you are teaching us young fathers who might not have necessarily had an active or engaged father the basics of what we wish we knew. Those basics bring pride and confidence to our home, thank you.

    The brand of pegboard in this video is called Wall Control for anyone looking for it.

    I’ve found that clear shoe boxes and steel wire shelving with a label maker works. Add some casters on the shelves and it moves super easy and if the floor is not level, lock the wheels.

    Every time I put stuff in drawers that neat, the problem I run into is when I start working on something and have a bunch of stuff out of them at the same time, I spend so much time trying to figure out the puzzle to get them all back in there when I'm putting stuff away, I have found out that a slight bit of chaos is the most functional drawer, It's best to only have as much stuff in the drawer as can fit in an unorganized manner, this will save you a lot of time trying to get stuff perfect to get the drawer closed again.

    So hard to find realistic garage organization videos. The ones I'm seeing are done by women or by men who seemingly have matching tools just for display. And they have large space:stuff ratio, which makes a very neat final product very easy. Anyone see a garage organization video done by someone with a garage DIY'ers can relate to, like sixtyfiveford - i.e., someone with a lot of tools, hardware, workbench, tool chests, compressor, shop vac, ladders, etc. in a not large space?

    Philp, I don't know if you have removed the propane tank from your garage. If you haven't please do immediately. The propane can leak and cause an explosion. Also make sure it's minimum 10 feet of clearance from any window or door.

    I came here to learn, but honestly, your garage looks like the kitchen on a cooking show. It gives me the impression that this is someone who doesn’t actually know how to build or fix anything and doesn’t even know how to use all those clean, pretty tools. Not to mention, your garage is huge.

    A rich man’s solution to storage. Rent a storage unit. What? LOL! Come on.
    Who is this video for? I can’t relate to the target audience.

    • @benmorgan7584
      @benmorgan7584 Год назад +1

      While I know this comment is old, contractors often become loyal to a brand to help mark which tools are theirs and some put a dab of paint on them. That way, when there's two or more contractors at a site, everyone knows who their tool is and it can get messy pretty fast.
      At one site, there was a handyman that always used Makita, an electrician that always used Rigid, and I always used DeWalt. The electrician had red paint marked on all his tools as well.
