Wow! I’ve been avoiding sewing buttons because my machine arguably sucks at doing it with the buttonhole maker but it also has the three step process too. I’ve never been bothered to at least attempt it, but your explanation makes things so much easier

I was so excited to see this 😍 wondering though if you're planning to add a lined option. That would be just perfect for woolen fabric that is not so kind on the skin. Thanks for a great pattern ❤

Love this pattern, so excited to make it. I might try lining it to make it more of a jacket for winter. Thanks for great video ❤

Dianne I have those feet that are so nice to do the top stitch. Lady you work like crazy time to upgrade the machines. I went Babylock. Used. 😊Thank you Dianne.I love your inspiration.

Thanks. Yeah, due to the hurricane I was sewing at a different location. All my machines were at home. Excited to get back to them.

You do such beautiful work and explain what you are doing! I have taken the easy way out (years ago), and it sure LOOKED that way too! I never have made a collar stand, nor plackets for the sleeves--your instructions via video were PERFECT! 👏🧵🎃

What interfacing did you use 😅? Also love the fabric Diana where did you get?

I usually get mine from Joann Craft Store. Light-Mid weight fusible. I think the brand is pellon, but doesn’t have to be.

I ordered the fabric from Joann because I couldn't take my eyes off of those colors! One question though, the pattern says I'll need 3 yards so that's what I ordered, but it comes as a 45" wide fabric- the pattern I think called for 59? (Not looking at it now so I'm not positive on that). Did you need more than what the pattern called for with the narrower fabric?

i would have also loved to see how you cut out your fabric. cutting stripe fabric scares me

That’s a great idea. I usually buy more fabric than is required when I plan to stripe match.
