My friend Skip went to the bar before the gig and left me and my wife at a table in front of the stage to chat. Just before the show started, Skip returned. I asked Skip what happened at the bar; He said he was talking to a "pretty cool, nice older, English guy". When the band took the stage, Skipped flipped out and said "That's the guy I was talking to for the last hour!". HAHAHAHA! BTW- the last song was "I'm So Glad". The stage was completely filled with dudes jamming to the Baker Trio. A bunch of maniacs enjoying the Ultimate Maniac! Never will forget the great show!

But there is obviously something about the mans mentality that I’m sure would have made it impossible for him to have functioned in “The real world “ Luckily for him, and us he had a god given talent that despite his failings as a human being kept him in work and out of prison.

Russell Parratt Having owned and operated a studio myself I believe the additional layer of information lies within the fact that being in a professional studio environment was rare for he and his contemporaries at the time and that coupled with the fact that he was also in enough of a state of incoherence that he ceased to even realize that a typical drum overhead mic was even there. I could picture If he were in a hospital bed or some other area of critical care then he perhaps should have been made fully aware of all obstacles with the potential to cause him harm in his way.
