Late to the conversation but this guy is very knowledgeable and does a good job explaining things. The Motorex is very good two stroke oil, they have all good oils and a few years ago I have moved specifically to Motorex to include chain lube, yes I still lube my chain and this stuff does not flick off or make a mess at all. I also like the containers Motorex uses with pull out funnel spouts and they have good seals to keep the product on the shelf. All in all this is a top notch oil.

Saber amsoil has JASO FD rating. I used to run that in all my carbureted machines. According to that logic

@@kurtheidelbach 60/1 on the 300's! T2 is 40/1, if you want to run the same "type" of fuel as T2 which is slightly oxygenated, you can run VPR and add your own premix to get 60/1. VPR is the same oxy content as well as some of the specific gravity, etc. Good luck and if you want a better running ECU after you ride it, let me know, working on a tune library right now for it. Thx!

The classification of oil for my fuel injected TPI smoker is JASO FD. The FD indicates it will work with injectors and oilpumps in the TPI, even at lower temperatures. For my 300 SX TBI its not that critical since the oil is diluted in the gas, I'm happily using FC or FD classified oil.

@@finndoyle4083 This may sound counter productive, but don't warm it up and go ride it...fire it up and do some throttle blips to make sure she is good to go, (20 seconds), and then put it in gear and go do a site lap with blips and small sections of getting on the gas here and there. It may sound like its loading up and super rich but it will clean out. I feel there is too much fuel at first fire up bc of the coolant temp being cold so the ECU sends more fuel to richen it up b/c 2 strokes like cold air but it leans it out. Also, try NOT using the cold start, (yellow button). I know I will catch some crap for this but it seems to work for a lot of guys. Are you a member of KTMTALK.com yet?
