How I wish we were told, taught more about her. We need a biography or an up to date; Life Documentary/ Biopic. This would fill in this gap🙏❤. First time i heard this song was after its release. We were in a bus on a school trip to the Free State(OFS) at the time. This song made all of us go crazy as we danced all the way on the bus. We'd never heard it before, and it came like a breath of fresh minty air to take us out of being almost suffocated by american music. This was our own thing, a real game changer for everyone. We were so taken by Brenda,s vocal prowess. Iconic duo, Brenda & The Big Dudes. Case closed.

When did box braids become a thing? Cause it’s very rare to see anyone rocking them in the early to mid 80s could it be that Brenda started the trend for box braids? 😮

@@livingfaith9189 sorry I’m still learning about haircuts and styles
Also it’s just rare to see braids like that in 1980s media especially in America
sure it probably would’ve been seen in certain areas but not in media at least not from the 80s media I’ve seen
Brenda is just the first one I’ve seen so far in 80s media

No one talks about how the outro was soo good. The way Brenda controls her voice it’s soo damn good

RIP MS BRENDA FASSIE , i Hope you keep your son Bongani Fassie and do right by him just as you did during your life. Those your thought wanted all the best from you are today taking all the best from you and keeping it for themselves and reaping all the fruits. There are rumors of a biopic or docu about your life but unfortunately Chivo Twada continues to suck life out of you and your works.
