@@djLouisLoop It's a Fender sound as interpreted by Yamaha, its attack is from a DX7, not from the original Rhodes. That's a Rhodes with a DX7 overtouch to it.
On a real Rhodes you can change the timbre by adjusting the relationship of the tine to the pickup, ie, in/out/sideways. Most folks break down the Rhodes sound to at least 3 phases - early, mid, and late years of production. Consequently there really isn’t an absolute Rhodes sound. It varies. The S90 and many of the subsequent Yamaha keyboards let you dig into the patch and make adjustments that mimic reorienting the tine position, a very cool programming feature.
oooooooooooooooooo my gooooooooooooooooooooo deeeeeeeeee hehe nesss dude, always been a fan of eric now wtf is jeff lorber, this was the best, going to sleep
in the early day of Jeff Lorber band late 70 he hired many musician for recordings, one of them Chick Corea as guess for two tracks, Kenny G for one album,
This is a great example how bands should play together. Each member is making the rest sound better and no one over plays.
Tight band, Jeff one of the most underrated piano players on the planet. Can't get over how much that Yamaha piano sounds like a Fender Rhodes.
It's funny you say that, I think the sound is so far from the real fender rhodes sound wise

it's a dyno-my-piano modified rhodes sound. It's completely different from the standard rhodes of any vintage.

Uh, yeah. What else can you say. Love the muted groove of the bassist. I thought he was using a pick. I was wrong.
He wasn't using a pick at the beginning of that solo? I thought he was too! DAMN!
