Thank you!! He does, a lot of times I keep his cage the same maybe add a few new enrichment items but keep it otherwise the same. In the past my one Chinese hamster [Gus] hated change as well. Just depends on the hamster’s personality! But overall trying to keep placement mostly the same works best for sure :)

Thank you for posting this video! I’m considering a bin cage as well and got a lot of inspiration from your set up❤ Is that a Niteangel Multi-chamber hideout in your bin? If yes, can you share whether it’s a small or large? Thank you!🎉
No problem!! I love utilizing big bin cages myself, and I’m so glad that I could be of use for some inspo💖. It is a Niteangel Multi-chamber hideout in the enclosure and it’s the larger one because I own a large Syrian hamster! 🫶🐹
A thing I’m worried about tho is the bedding. I’m pretty sure that bedding has fragrance that is very harmful to hamster’s (Uri happens with this type of bedding). I recommend watching Scotty’s animals for healthy bedding advice!❤
Thank you for the concern! However the bedding I use for my hamsters is just plain paper bedding by Kaytee Clean and Cozy. It does not have any fragrance, and I completely understand that small animals especially hamsters shouldn’t be kept of bedding with fragrance because they’re prone to respiratory infections and it’s unnatural. Along with this make sure to avoid most wood bedding’s other than aspen, which is hamster safe 😉🫶
I get my Velcro from either Home Depot or Walmart. I just look for "industrial Velcro" and usually on the package it comes in, it'll say "can hold 10+ pounds". That's how I know it should work with my water bottles!
Nope! Not unless he pees on them or soils them in any way. I usually just wipe or dust mine down. You can also utilize a finish called Plastikote so that pee doesn’t soak into nice wooden pieces and then you can easily wipe them down when peed on. I get mine on Amazon. 😊

So do you buy the dirt? Or you get your own? I’m so confused lmao, I don’t have a hamster currently but would love to improve care when I do get one again!
I buy my dirt; it's called Eco Earth! You can purchase it at most pet stores in the reptile isle. But what I mean in the video is that I then (after buying the big bag of Eco Earth *dry form*) sift it. To remove excess dust-which is harmful for most pets because it can cause respiratory issues, make sure it's dry, and I freeze it. I freeze most of my bulk pet items to remove mites, parasites, and bugs that can dwell in the package. So, like bedding, which I freeze to kill mites, I also freeze my eco earth. I also try to dry it out more than how it comes because of the nature of eco earth. Which is, eco earth is a high humidity substrate and hamsters don't do well in a high humidity environment. But that's great that you're seeking to improve your future hamster care :)
