- United Airlines 5th freedom flight experience, from Singapore to Hong Kong onboard UA896, operated by the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
Actual flight time is 3 hours and 16 minutes. Breakfast is served with a choice of Singapore carrot cake or scrambled eggs. As it was a very early departure from Singapore (5.45am), most passengers, including myself, napped after the breakfast. Announcements are made in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
It was a very pleasant flying experience with United Airlines.

Definitely an interesting tag along route they are flying here. Just flew that bird from LHR-LAX and it only had 57 people on it, was a crazy experience being on a plane that empty.
Your food looked pretty good and not that bad to be honest. Interesting departure time on this flight also.

What was your seat row? I took the same flight in June 2016. My seat row is 46. Also can you do SQ638 and SQ637? I'm flying those routes during my vacation in Japan.
Great video. I flew UA in 1991 from SIN to Kai Tak. It was evening flight and B747-400 after a big delayed in SIN. Very empty seat on B747-400 on SIN to Kai Tak. Anyway the carrot cake very saap

Great review Gavin. Terminal 3, especially the transit area, looked like a ghost town with so few passengers. Personally I prefer a 8-9am departure from Changi, 6am is too early for me. Congratulations in advance on reaching 30000 subscribers, well deserved!

the price I paid was competitive for a full-service airline, though more expensive than budget airlines'

Nice! Economy Plus! I remember the first time flying on a triple-seven for United. I just remember how HUGE the triple-seven was! Lets just say it was so huge, vast majority of people could not close the overhead bins! Not even the FA's lol I was the only tall person who stood up to generously help lol :P Wow! From VHHH to KORD is like 14 hours!? Man! If I wanted to travel that long, I, myself, would honestly book a first class seat so at least to be comfortable as much as possible lol The Singapore Carrot Cake sounds good!

Thank you very much for watching. UA gives a decent flying experience. Not all that glamourous but it's a full service flying experience. I guess it lives up to its tagline, fly the friendly skies.
It would be nice to try the Chinese airlines (MU, CZ, HU) though no plans currently. Let's see if it's gonna happen next year.
