Handmaking a Ring

A short film showing some of the processes involved in Handmaking a ring from start to finish.
Ring handmade by David Robinson from RDG New Zealand. All RDG pieces are handmade in their Takapuna, Auckland boutique and all pieces are one of a kind.
This ring is made in Platinum and 18ct gold and features a Lime Quartz, Tsavourite Garnets and Diamonds.

Very nice work , and the stone is wonderful fancy cut .
But I hate paste solder and wasting so large amount of gold to make a frame . Using tubes ( charniere ) and square ingot bar it could be a easily job and a lot of economy ! . D )))

Nice video man. Im from Denmark, here we still solder using old propane and air mixed. What kind of flame is it you are using at 1:04? Do I see acetylen/oxygen mix or something else?
