You eyeballed it -30 points ! Kidding, Gotta love a man who can make his own tools. I was a machinist out of HS-parts for military helo's. The inspectors would borrow mine. I've retired to finer things, w/ tougher critic( wife) Great job, thanks for the 411.
Waouh je viens tout juste de commencer ma formation de sertissage et grâce à cette vidéo j'ai pu comprendre et découvrir plusieurs astuces ou gestes malgré que nous n'utilisons pas le boulet de sertisseur, merci très chouette !!!!!
Could you make another video just like this explaining what tools and diameters and sizes of them too please? This is the most informative video ive seen on setting, and you have yet to speak a word. Amazing work.
i love this video, very relaxing to watch and i am learning so much more about settings. thank you for your time and your knowledge that you share for us.
Nice video!! I feel way more confident about my next project after this great tutorial from a true pro. The repair jeweler in me makes me cringe about anything with this style setting... 5 mins in the sonic will make a poorly done one look like a hillbilly smile.
this is the only video so far where ive actually been able to see what happens when you make the bead and that helps a lot. the only question i have for clarification is when you are pushing the bead down and making it smooth in one direction does it just touch the 2 stones? or does the bead spread on the other side too evenly?
nice video indeed. I am also interested in the type of bur you are using to reshape the burnisher. Do you sell of can you tell me where to find it ? Thank you.
Hello At 4:47 how can you precisely find the center of the circles. I mean doesn't it need to be super precise? If you don't drill exactly at the right place the diamond won't fit, right?
Hank you for sharing your work . But I have question if you dont mind What's the name of the tool you used in min 4.50 ? For making dots where you want to drill??
What a beautiful video!!!! Can you tell me (estimate) the size of the stones (1.5,1.75,2mm) that you used here? And about how many in total that you used to make the 3 rows down the one side? Thank you once again!
Thanks. You are truly expert. I still use hand gravers, I'm thinking hard about changing over to the the air driven. Your videos are very constuctive as well, the best I've seen on YT.
+MrKalvinC Possible, yes. Time efficient? You'll be turning this video from 18 minutes into ~6 hours or so. Haha, on a more serious note, I would not know how to go about it but i'm sure it can be done
Do these guys make good money? I have steady hands and exceptional eyesight, and i think working on customs and just setting the stones would be so chillin.
maby 5 point diamond's.just guessing.go too a jewelers supply house, and look at all the tool's.and just ask the salesman how to use it..and keep watching dimond setters like this on you tube..and get a bench,pratice,pratice,pratice..and learn how to polish your work.learn 1 tool at a time.dont try to go fast,at first.when you get your toll's,make a mark on all your toll's,so like a identity etc.i used to cut 3 line's on all mine..my friend had 2 line's on his tool's.the mandrel, plyers, everything.so if you get a job doing this line of work, and your hamer is missing, just try to look at all the jewelers tools to see who made an honest mistake, and picked up yours,..and alway's watch the best, like this worker..youtube has lot's of workers showing how to do something..this was a perfect setter, and been doing this art for a long time,i'm sure..i'm a repairmen, gold smith with 60 plus years under my belt, and when I say this guy is good,i mean it''☼

Hi - is it possible to set princess cut diamonds like this?
+MrKalvinC Possible, yes. Time efficient? You'll be turning this video from 18 minutes into ~6 hours or so. Haha, on a more serious note, I would not know how to go about it but i'm sure it can be done
how you gonna drill square hole?
Do these guys make good money? I have steady hands and exceptional eyesight, and i think working on customs and just setting the stones would be so chillin.
Eric Cartmenez i charge 2.4 euro per stone for this setting. Multiply that by the amount of stones i set (which is around 200-300 a day).
@@antosharboonian6110 hello can i get some cotact details? i would like to have some stones set in a ring, regards, ala
this is my work
