Malaysian immigration in Singapore is excellent; imagine having to get off the train with your bags & walk across a bridge to the other side (it's what you have to do if crossing by coach)...of course, a Shengen-like agreement so there were no border checks would be even better ;)
A lot of people criticized ur luxurious train ride.for them its extremely booring, expensive and all that. Well only enthusiasts know how to enjoy the train ride.
The boarding is at Woodlands check point which is 5 minutes from Malaysian soil. I guess its better to pay SGD fares..The journey is mainly in Malaysia & Thailand... I like the luxurious decor of the carriages though. Brings you back to the British Colonial times of years gone by... Kuala Kangsar is actually a Royal town of Perak and its famous college ,.. MCKK which has produced a lot of the current Politicians and leaders in Malaysia.
Too late for that now :( and I doubt I'll be taking another ride with the EOT anytime soon. But to be honest there isn't much to see on the way. The trio is more about the train than anything else. It's a bit like staying in a 5 star resort but on wheels.
