I only have a couple of hours in this game and usually I have zero idea who shot me and from where... it is frustrating getting dropped all the time but I think it getting better is something you can learn eventually. practice, eh?

dont take short cuts through open fields. even on on snow maps like foy and kharkov there are tree lines you can use for cover to move point to point. even if there are bushes here and there, keep them as cover as you move in the direction you want to go. check you map often, it shows what is happening. i check mine quickly when reloading and in cover. learn how to use the guns and where to aim depending on what range they are away from you. leading them from range is one of the easiest ways to get kills, but if you miss... each shot missed increases the chances of you getting shot by one of their team mates. gun shots are loud and give away your position. but if you can put down 3, 4 or 6 etc they wont know what hit em. walking and not running is a big one, once you think there is enemies or youre close, try and stop running and walk, pre aim from the hip in the area you think an enemy might be or pop up as well. then when you ads it will be faster than an enemy who is running at you, and if pre aimed fairly close when you ads it wont take much to get them in your sights. also, i found that you want to use a low sensitivity for your ads, especially when theyre at range. i use 20% for hip, and 10% for ads for example. its a slower game, so there is no need for high sensitivity.

Blame your SL, for not informing you, or putting the OP in the right spot, and the rest of your squad for not calling out enemies. IDK how many times i joined a squad not communicating, that's when you end up in an endless loop of just getting shot every time you move, or spawn. If you see your squad dying and not communicating, leave asap, dont even bother.

@@SoulStormZero thanks for replying, since my comment I clocked 850+ hrs in the game, I'm (lvl200+) better now. I'm lucky I found a squad I regularly play with, we know each other, we play different roles and everything got better

My problem is that everyone is a crack shot, like nobody misses. Which isn’t even realistic. The skills gap is too big for new players as while you’re just trying to feel out the map and get your bearings you get quick scoped after exposing yourself for 0.25 seconds.

something i was taught in the cadets (💪🏻) is that humans are hardwired to see sharp movements and the natural figure of a human from really far away, so I used that knowledge and usually i see enemies way before them

Sometimes just sitting still is how you will see them better I've been mowing down enemies left and right but every so often I take cover for a few seconds the enemy usually sends a few rounds my way move back into firing position after they think they killed you

Prone crawl is your best friend. The amount of times I torture enemy Garry points just crawling around in different spots picking them off or popping up behind the firefight and flanking them hard. Golden rule is always have your body behind cover, whether it’s a tree or whatever just something and you basically go invisible half the time

I live much longer than when I first started playing couple of months ago. Sometimes I live for 17 mins consecutively. As general rule i stop running at least one square grid prior a final objective. In open field, which are a lto actually, i end up crossing them crawling all the way from bush to bush, cover to cover. It may seems to lose time but usually run will end up dying and start over again which takes more time.
My problem now is that still can't spot enemies. I can't change too much my kill to death ratio. Thats why i usually play Support, Engineer or medic. Since I can't see anything to shoot o might as well support the team. Support being the most difficult to do because mostly people are not asking and you have to guess where they might supplies, ammunition or explosives.
Anyway, it is a helpful video as always. Sometimes depends all on your squad leader. I teamed up with the best squad leader I eve had and made 15 kills for the first time as Support. He knew exactly where he wanted the supplies, where to find enemy garrison, how to flank. We were the invisible this time. I killed 3 in an ambush without returning to me a single round. This happens once ever 10 games maybe. The rest I am just assuming they are everywhere. Sometimes I go so slow that the battle has moved to the next objective while I am trying to crawl though the first.

    My tips....i play on ps5:
    1. Increase brightness on dark or night maps.
    2. Uniform color similar as much as possible as ground on map you are playing. Your face and hands after your siluett is most noticed by the enemy.
    3. Dark background movement or positioning, if you standing at window that has other window, or nothing but the sky behind you will be extremely visible....
    3.Cover to cover movement.
4.Sound....communication is great but should be limited for only important information...2 much blabla will get you kill. You need to hear where shots are coming from or enemy footsteps. Youse headphones.
5.Planes...you should know how recon plane function there's vidieos about them. Look at the sky when plane is passing and whats is dropping. Airhead or sneaky flanks thats how you will mostly win or lose the game.
6.Spawn at your squad op and stick to your squad leader. Yes there is probably shorter path or path with more "action" but you just cripple your squad and make more difficult for your squad leader to achieve his mission.
    7. Human eye is train to notice movement.

if you scan the horizon or area when ads, the auto aim will start to zoom in when there is an enemy behind cover, even at range. there are videos on youtube showing this. and if youre a machinegunner you can kill them though the low hedges. personally i think it breaks the games since there is so much cover you can use, but that just makes it a waste of time. COD use to do it on black ops back in the day as well. when an enemy was within a few cm of your reticle it would lock on and track the target through walls, if you had the ak and hardened pro it was an easy wall bang kill. people use to call me a hacker until i told them all in the lobby about it. i ran with aim assist off as i used a xim to play on the xbox 360. aim assist isnt available on PC, only on consoles. i only play this on PC. my ps5 is for other games.

Very good tips. "communication is great but should be limited for only important information...2 much blabla will get you kill." this is indeed a problem as well. Do not chat too much, keep comms clear so you can hear footsteps and squad mates calling out enemies, unless your in a truck or something and your terribly bored.
"Spawn at your squad op and stick to your squad leader. Yes there is probably shorter path or path with more "action" but you just cripple your squad and make more difficult for your squad leader to achieve his mission."
It baffles me that some players still ignore the SL like that, even if the SL communicates or sets marks etc, there are always these players that dont give a shit and just prefer to walk in a straight line to 'the point' not knowing how the cap system works and never actually making it to the point.

There should be a direct link from the game to this video!
I just started on this game a couple of days ago, my first impression was ‘wow this is realistic’ (combat veteran here) to but it’s not fun to run around without getting paid like in the army 😂.
I did feel like there was more to it, so I watched a couple of videos including this one and was lucky to team up with a couple of good fireteams with great teamleaders and veteran players.
Oh and if any new players are reading this: buy a headset with a mike - it changes everything!
The sense of overbearing with new players and eagerness to teach is mindblowing - such a great community.
I just did a 2hr game, died 42 times 😂 but killed 16 (one melee). But my greatest achievement was the people I revived and the ressources I helped provide for the team.
Videos like this completely changed my movement strategy, survivability and ability to defeat the enemy.

Im starting to think its more to do with brightness and contrast. Im on xbox series s, no 4k tv, and I have screen shots that you can barely see the enemies. They're just a smudge of pixels one degree of shade darker than the bushes they're standing in front of. Plus virtually zero muzzle flash on anything other then MGs and tanks. Its got nothing to do with sitting still and going slowly. At least for me. I'll have to mess with my tv settings coz there are no visual settings on console apart from motion blur on or off. (I have it off)
Then there's also the trouble with cross play. If i stick to xbox only the matches have about 50 people in them. Crossplay on i get full lobbies BUT,,, pc can turn down foliage so the bush you think you're hidden in isn't even there to the other guy. I really really want to love this game, but its getting hard to.

A little late for me to post this but just fyi if you still play- pc doesn’t get to play with console in this game. Crossplay allows ps and Xbox to play together. Pc is on their own.
