3 very clear stages of Ajs career, pre ruiz, pre usyk 2 and post usyk 2. will be interesting to see how he finishes up, but it has been a roller coaster.
Very easy to define it by his only losses.
How can not include post Klitschko? Or the fact he came back and beat Ruiz
@@olliedeaney8740
Losses are probably the best way as he changed his fighting style significantly after each one.
Before Ruiz he threw more combinations. After Ruiz he boxed more on the back foot
After Usyk 2 he started mixing it up more.
I know there are exceptions but by and large that is how his career has played out.
@@olliedeaney8740 I'm an AJ fan and I think his comment is on point.
Incorrect , the biggest change was after the Klitschko fight , not because of the fight itself, but his next fight , I believe against Parker, he had changed his style into an upright relaxed boxer and ever since a couple fights after that because that style kills ur talent, he’s been trying to find his talent again, and he seems to have somewhat found some of it with Ben , can’t wait to see how this fight goes
@@youtubesongsffdf
He fought like Pre- Klitschko Aj against Povetkin and Ruiz...its what ultimately cost him. ... Parker was an exception...as i said there are some exceptions.
Generally though , the biggest most consistent changes came after his defeats.
Love the storytelling videos! You're phenomenal at it.
I can see these getting edited into proper "the fighting business" channel styled videos.
His videos about the life of mcregor and kayne was very good as well great story telling, and I don’t even listen to kayne
Brian you are absolutely flying with this! Fantastic. I love the positivity, building up AJ, when you look back, we owe him a lot for the great nights we’ve had.
Lets go AJ, shout-out from Brooklyn NYC, ill be tuning in also heard True will be in the building doing commentary. Lets go
"The Pain Game" what a delivery! Top Level. You guys deserve all the success. Hard work. Keep on! Man im buzzing watching this fight...
This point in Aj career he’s is so much better as an all round product. Those losses and learning curves have finally got him to the fighter he could be
Seems a good presumption to me
Garbage. His last 3 fights, Helenius, Wallin, Ngannou
Just paper over the cracks
@@epec20cracks of what, loosing to usyk ? Usyk schools literally every boxer in the heavy weight division..😂
@@Bradjameslee1 The cracks of having a weak chin and being terrified of getting KO'd (a lack of confidence, if you will). His last four opponents were cherry picked for AJ, middle of the road heavyweights who are known as technical boxers and not big hitters (look at their KO ratios), and an MMA fighter.
It makes sense, its an attempt to get his confidence back by knocking over tomato cans. However, those fights didn't test him in the slightest. Dubois will be a real measuring stick to see if AJ has overcome his issues: I'm not sure he has.
@@nick0is0ace I ain’t reading all that that’s craxy but we’ll see when aj sparks Dubois out
No shame in losing to Usyk. They’re both warriors
Would love to see a 3rd fight tbh, I think AJ can give Usyk problems now since he’s improved
Well Joshua did go through several personality changes after losing in the weirdest post-fight monologue I've ever seen. Not to mention how passive aggressive he was in the arena corridors after the fight.
@Henrik.S8 He just lost everything mate! Imagine you belt collect for years and are about 95% there to become undisputed only for the other belt holder to fuck you about and in that time a little cruiserweight comes up gets a title shot after 2 fights in the division and not once by twice beats you to dash all your hopes of being undisputed not gonna lie I would be mad myself.
@@morgancarolan8680
Bro no. Usyk needs to fight Parker, Zhang, etc. before it’s too late. Usyk already schooled AJ twice.
@@soundwavesuperior28 Usyk schooled a mentally weak AJ, this newer version of AJ has a much better chance
Whatever AJ does he can hold his head high and say he is one of British boxings best ever. Guy won everything you could win in the sport and he sets an example of how to be a proper man. Legend
We love Frank Bruno too
A proper man wouldn’t have spat his dummy out after being beaten by Usyk, 👊🏻.
would’ve been sweeter to earn that green and gold belt though
I agree to a point, but you can't say "proper man". After throwing a mans hard won belts out of the ring, then stealing the microphone. I do like AJ, but that was beyond poor behavior. I've never actually seen that happen in boxing before. I'm aware he was upset he'd lost twice in a row to usyk, but you can't justify that. He's never even apologized for it.
@@Taylor-td5spexactly this, but the casual AJ fanboys choose to ignore this and claim he’s some Role model for UK boxing 🤡
AJ Wlad is still one of my favorite fights of this era
My favourite was awsome
TG I’ve got to say your my favourite podcaster but you look like a staff member at footlocker in that shirt 😂✊🏽
Or a WWE ref
Or a NBA referee
Or a blackpool stick of rock
AJ always had Fury’s number. Fury has problems with systemic coordination which often leads him to getting tangled up and hurt even against week opponents like Wallin or Pajkic (which would be a problem against AJ as he probably has the best uppercut in the division right now) and doesn’t have good posture for a professional as well as often not full sitting on his punches not utilizing his reach fully and weight, resulting in him being inefficient at times, furthermore the opposition he has faced has often been poor compared to AJ’s, AJ is good at intercepting right hands by going deeper through the center line which allows him to safely intercept jabs with a cross a vise versa which shows a good punch selection,
100% his coordination is terrible at mid-close range
Fury has always been a clumsy fighter imo yes a terrific fighter not gonna lie but a clumsy one and that's due to his very long limbs plus the weight he carries.
Fury’s fight with usyk much closer than aj. Aj lost three times . Aj won belts fury gave up
Fury would have boxed AJs his head off if it wasnt for the 3rd fight against wilder taking some damage and since the usyk fights its clear furys lost more. In terms of i.q and boxing ability its a well known fact fury is streets ahead.
Ruiz has entered the chat
Love these videos man - keep it up!
I remember before the first Usyk fight saying to my brother, “if he tries to box this man he’ll lose”. And then the fight came and I was so annoyed and frustrated, thinking if I could see that AJ couldn’t match Usyk in terms of boxing skill. How has no one on his team seen this.
If AJ tried to bully Usyk he would get KO’ed himself, as Usyk would step away with his great footwork and make him pay each time. It’s not as easy you think to beat an all time great like Usyk 😂
I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve always supported AJ, right from the start, through his adversities when others slagged him off. I can’t wait for him to get back to the road to undisputed! He’s on fire. He will bulldozer triple knee. You watch
@@leilasuley I have to give you credit, you’ve been incredibly consistent. Now that AJ seems to be climbing his way back to the top, a lot of AJ fans are suddenly reappearing. But a year ago, when AJ’s career was in the mud and he was fighting back at the O2 with everyone writing him off, you were one of the few voices I saw in the comments section standing by him and defending him. I really respect that because it speaks volumes about your character and integrity.
@@DavidGoldX thanks David, I appreciate your kind words. Always stood by him from the start. I truly think he is the best in uk and hoping in the world. I hope he gets that uysk trilogy and he can correct the wrongs now he’s fully back and his confidence is 💯 I think he can do it. 3X and undisputed here we come! 💪 let’s goooo
@@leilasuley I agree. If he gets passed Dubois in dominant fashion, I’d rather see him take the Usyk trilogy for undisputed, which I believe he could win.
Triple knee🤣🤣🤣 love it
@@Koutsimouka hel be promoted next Saturday to quadruple knee lol 😜 he quit with a jab from uysk, what will he do when AJ jabs him lol 😜
Bringing boxing home for once.
Klitschko had just turned 41. He was 3 months short of 40 when he fought Fury
the fury win was much better. Vlad was a little younger, in his backyard and he never hurt fury, unlike AJ who was almost stopped. The AJ fight was for more fun to watch. but he was close to losing.
@@paulgrant666completely, fury was the one who dented Klitzko who was unbeatable at that time. With AJ it looked like Klitzko got a secone wind
So Phucking what Klitkos age has phuck all to do with AJ.....
I cant wait to see Fury duck AJ after getting knocked out by USYK in December
HAHAH AJ might not even make it that far. We all have seen what happens when he gets feather dusted anywhere round the chin area. KO'DDDDDDDDD.. Least fury can stay on his feet for a entire fight LMFOA.. Or do you need to go and rewatch ruiz (the fattest laziest boxer ever) hammer prime AJ once again LOL

@@dieselpowerdiesel4994 was the same result with AJ 😂 except he didn’t nearly get KO’d like fury did 😂 fury also should have lost to ngannou/Wallin, but AJ knocked them both out so you tell me who’s better.
Geordies class at telling people's life stories best in the business 💪
If AJ beats Dubios, he will set the record for the highest payday fighting who ever is chosen from Uysk V Fury.
Love these videos ❤
Love these videos Geordie keep up the good work 👏🏻
Where did the rumor of A.J. having a "weak chin" come from? Was that just from guys who sparred with him? It usually seems like it takes a lot of work to put him on the canvas. Andy did it, but it was more of a headshot. Andy must hit hard if he broke his hand on big baby's head and could barely use his hand the rest of that fight. Doesn't seem like A.J. goes down from chin shots.
With their theory . Francis has a week chin as well, cause he got knocked the spark out., 😬😂😂
Brilliant video, love these fighter career highlights. Absolutely spot on with everything you said 👌
Luv the way u told this story! It was so truthful! Ill be watching ur channel for now on!
Anybody remember that time we all laughed at how often John Fury thanked his exelentie in the presser? Now in what? 2 years and even Geordie is thanking his exelencie 😂
You'd do the same for the bag they're getting , don't hate the player.
@@thelegendthatischelshaha! No man, just no
What's your point?
@@scottgray1511first I want to thank your exelencie before commenting on Scottgrey. My point is having a good laugh at that situation 😉
Turki is the face of boxing. You better bow down and thank him if you're involved in the sport.
As a fan, I'm thanking him too cause his events so far were are delicious
AJ has done amazingly and has absolutely changed the game, however he absolutely didn't win that Olympic final. Bit of a gift in London. Fair credit though he has evolved and achieved brilliantly
You didn’t think easy night for AJ in the first fight with Ruiz! Remember go back and watch your live stream you didn’t rate AJ at all, you even bet Ruiz to win! Which in hindsight was a great decision lol
Also, geordie said it right he is a different animal now, and now he is very polished, and his got his confidence back and looks incredible.
Pain Game at Wembley is nuts! Buzzing for TG. AJ got caught shottin weed, which is what 'crazy stuff' must mean lmao
We need the AJ from that Dillian fight
Great Vid this. Good work. Looking forward to the Dubois one 👍🏼
Dubois has a punchers chance but Joshua should see this out within 5 rounds. Everyone talking this up, like they do with all fights. On paper, it's almost a non fight. Dubois has one decent win on his whole record (Hergovic) and that's it.
whose aj beat?
@@piedpiper1201 oh behave lol, their records don't compare at all.
Within two to three years Moses will be the face of heavyweight boxing, Dubois will be the only one left young enough but Moses has another level of potential
Do your research before you talk !!
@@lesliedb7 I have and that's why I was able to write that comment. Dubois has previously beaten Miller, Lerena, Bryan, Cusumano, Dinu, Snijders, Fujimoto, Tetteh, Gorman, Harrison, Cojanu, Johnson, Little, Jones, Darch, Carter, Barragan, Howe, Mendouo and Kelly. Don't tell me any of these are good 😂😂😂😂😂 oh and he lost against Usyk and Joyce 👍🏽
AJ to demolish Dubois inside 2!
Totally, complete mismatch…hyped up for sales to the football casuals who know fck all about boxing…..this is a charles martin type fight
@SGT_Gunnery_Hartman let's not get too carried away. It's only a mismatch to you because you don't know anything about boxing
It’ll be similar to Lewis V Grant, imo
They said that about Ruiz 1 lol its 70/30 in AJs favour but theres deffinately risk there bcus if daniel does happen to land a big shot were still not sure how AJs gna react to having wobbly legs again, and daniel hits hard. AJ should deffo win but its not a foregone conclusion @@SGT_Gunnery_Hartman
You're in for a shock then
Oooo, I’ve been waiting for this video, for a long, long time…
Can you imagine if AJ had quit , twice, on one knee, looking at the ref, while the 10 count is administered...
Great job. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait!!
I like your style and presentation. Keep it up
I don't buy that Joshua's career will be over if he loses to Dubois. He'll still be one of the best boxers in the world. He continues to improve and will have learnt ALOT from his fight with Usyk. That's how athletes improve and he is one He is one hell of an athlete
Yeah war Chisora doesn’t give up after a loss!

Class video Brian 👏
what a top notch videography/story on aj; ive subd sometime ago: This vid got me watching start to end! Looking fwd to more videos from ye Man!
Joshua came un stuck, when he floored ruiz, went for the finish, and ruiz withstood him. He was knackered, and didnt know what to do next. That's why he held back in subsequent fights. He even said he's a large bloke and he couldn't throw combinations, as it would tire him out, in response to comments about him being gun shy against usyk, holding back. This is much better than being gun shy/not willing to go all out.
Love this host.
An ordinary man whose passion and work ethic has taken him to the top.
That Cammarelle fellow moves/punched just like Usyk at 5:00
@truegeordie what a fantastically entertaining, eloquently put together, well researched video.
Enjoyed every second of that. And absolutely faultless choices and delivery.
Superb!
I'm fully convinced AJ is a level above everyone now, except Usyk. And he is very close on Usyk's heels. I think he could beat him in a third fight.
🤣🤣
Incredible that Joshua started at 18 and still got to the very top.
His story will definitely make a good movie one day.

Great video.
Klitschko was 41! At that age 99% of fighters are retired for a longtime
Against AJ level of recent competition, DD is his toughest challenge since Usyk 2, now we see the real Joshua
Great vid Brian
Like the Geordie juice look👌👌
brilliant stuff 😍
I'm such a twat, I giggled at Hertfordshire
I can't believe Ben even slept on a mattress. What a warrior 😂
18:32 AJ didnt look right before that ruiz fight tho. His ring walk and massage before they started was weird
Would be interesting to see how this version of AJ deals with Usyk for a 3rd time
AJ does not like to make excuses, he did say that something was off going into that 1st fight with Andy, he said he will speak on it once he is retired or write a book and put this in it
Can't really take much from the helenius fight cuz it was on 4-5 days notice, if he looked like that after a full camp for helenius then yeah I'd be worried but AJ trained for Whyte
Helenius was there to survive, not get kod, and hope he gets a lucky chance to get a ko. It's always difficult against someone doing that. Helenius was always limited defensively but that was mainly when actually fighting. He was still a pretty talented fighter, and put all that into surviving.
That along with Helenius being a much bigger target than AJ had been training for just made everything awkward. You heard him come in confused in the corner and mention that his right is just off. There was no real danger, just AJ going through the motions in an awkward fight, until his distance and timing got better. It was basically the first right thrown with the correct distance that got the KO.
Brian in that Beetlejuice drip 🤘
this is a great fight ..
Aj to stop dubois with a left hook
Current AJ is not the most entertaining or barnstormer BUT it is the best (as a boxer) we have seen. I never rated AJ apart from his power but I really like this AJ 2.0 👏👏👏
I’ll be there in the crowd!
An utter embarrassment after the Usyk rematch. Stole the moment from Usyk.
I still maintain Joshua was outboxing Klitschko up until AJ dropped him the first time in the 5th
AJ won much to your chagrin....
AJ was allowed to fight for the titles because of the fact that Fury dethroned Klitschko and then was stripped of all the belts. Otherwise he would have has to take his place in line to try to take them from Klitschko
But he collected all the belts bar one
@@Bob-v8hExactly, and took all challengers
Super excited about the fight! However, I just can’t accept it as a world title fight. Both fighters have lost to Usyk yet one of them will receive his belt.
Nonsense. He knew for the first fight, the conditions of the win for that belt was to defend it next. Its not his, and the people saying otherwise are being childish.
AJ never failed to defend his belts, and if he did it wouldn't have been his belt anymore. Usyk didn't need to agree to a rematch, he was mandatory. He chose to and rightly lost the belt. He is allowed to take the money over keeping it, I don't have a problem with that. But people acting like it's his belt still is beyond silly.
Y'all underestimating ddb
take a shot every time you hear AJ, might help get through this love in
I think every new boxer especially heavyweight should get the mike tyson treatment where they fight like 15 fights in the first year
For AJ to begin boxing 🥊 at 18. Become a 🥇 medalist, unified all the titles minus the WBC. Lost it, won it back in a shutout IMHO against Ruiz. Excluding his meltdown during his 2nd loss to Usyk. He could have moved to 🇺🇸 and become an instant millionaire in the NFL. As a boxing fan I want to see AJ fight Zhilei Zhang regardless of the outcome of Dubois VS Joshua.
You can't beat a bit of Bully! 😝
This ref sure knows his stuff
I mean the Ruiz fight was a pretty big turning point for his career. But I think the fight that changed him for the worse was the Klitschko
u shold do story lile this about usyk aswell
Those fights after ruiz 1 made me think AJ was done he just looked scared to throw the big punches in case he got stopped again but credit to him and ben davison they brought him back and he looks more dangerous than ever
AJ 🆚 DDD (triple d triple knee 😂)
Let’s gooooo! 💪
The Whyte win made the UK pay attention while the Vlad one made the World pay attention I actually think his best fight was against Whyte he was ruthless in it its close between those two anyway.
If Dubois connects flush with the right hand AJ’s gonna look like Bambi on ice… Ben Davidson has changed his mentality and got the fire back but no trainer can improve his punch resistance and Dubois hits twice as hard as Ruiz , Miller should have got the decision against Ruiz but Dubois hammered him! Mark my words AJ is in trouble.
Bear in mind Miller only had a week or two notice for the Dubois fight. He was able to train properly for Ruiz and came in 30 odd pounds lighter. Given how hard the fight was for Dubois and how much better Miller looked against Ruiz, I do think Daniel would have struggled had Miller been in shape
@@samwarrilow2881 Neither miller of Ruiz are ever in shape 😂 but Ruiz took AJ fight on short notice and demolished him, at heavyweight every one can punch but not everyone can take a punch , every times AJ’s been caught he’s wobbled
@@BoxingGlobal_23Same for DDD, a cruiserweight dropped DDD 3 times in round 1.
@@LordVader1887 He took some big shots off miller and hrgovic tho , if some of them landed on AJ it would be GAME OVER
@@BoxingGlobal_23miller nor Hrgovic are knockout punchers.
I find it hilarious that people think Dubois’s chin is that much better than Joshua’s when Dubois has been dropped by TWO cruiserweights
