I was in an FC who would do maps but it was "owner needs, everyone else greeds", and I only ended up running with them twice. There was one officer who had multiple maps on his person/saddlebag/mailbox/retainers and the FC Leader always insisted we do theirs first so they can "put a dent in their collection" (which would never happen because of how they made this rule). Needless to say, after hours of running maps, the only one who ever made any actual gil was that Officer, and he'd stock up on maps again by the next time we were supposed to run them. It was a broken system meant to make the Officer rich because we assumed the Leader had a crush on him (she wasn't subtle).
Bruh wtf i thought common courtesy is outside portal owner need everyone greed but inside portal EVERYONE NEEDS, and each use up minimum 2 maps so everyone get their chance...
on god i hate hearing ppl sing in vc idc if they're good, it's my fave song etc, instant deafen for me lol, i would've left that static after like the second song🤣

I remember a friend told me a story of a couple that were the raid leader and a healer. Main difference is that this healer was absolute TRASH, but no one dared say anything because they didn’t want to be on the leader’s bad side. Apparently the other healer carried the GF’s ass all across Asphodelios.

As a healer main, it's rough for this savage tier. Some parties I communicate what oGCDs I will use, others I just listen to the sound effects and coordinate better if they have a pattern each raidwide. The struggle is using Swiftcast Rez at the same time on 1 person then another gets KO'd after.
What I do to circumvent this is having a raise order. WHM has raise prio if not rez mages are available and we go down a dps priority list. Healers first, tanks second (mechanic interdependent like if a swap is coming up) rez mages, melees, ranged. We do not raise instantly. We wait on the healers call for who they have and weave it into a gcd. Of course it's not 100 perfect but it works in my group 95% of the time.
I love when I can heal and I never have to communicate with my co-healer if we have that bond. Its like we know each other well enough and what we will do without communicating, I had that once and it was so awesome. I was an astro and they were a sage-- so we were a powerhouse healers. Singing: 100/10!! Maps: I run maps in the FC I am and we do the map need and everyone else greed unless we change it up to whoever is the map holder. Makes it fair for everyone without everyone getting up in arms hahaha. But we all listen to each other.

It's just like in wow, high healing parse only means your co healers are mouthbreathers, you snipe alot of healing unnecessarily, or your raid is taking a shit ton of damage cause they suck. Pick your poison.
Oh man..Look, singing is fine in general. I don’t want to judge anybody’s singing talents. Though if I sound judgemental in anyway, let me know. I wasn’t trying to be. Hearing someone sing in voice call on Discord, I feel like my patience is getting tested. I have to keep biting the bullet so I don’t be rude to the person. Now, if the person sings in a middle of a Raid, or hum the song, I would have to mute my headset and mic until the raid is finished. I enjoy talking to friends in call, don’t get me wrong. Singing or humming completely destroys my thought processes, and concentration. ;w; It’s just a pain trying to get my thoughts back together afterwards.
If you sing in raid, I will ask politely please be quiet so everyone can hear callouts and focus on the raid and not your singing. Very simple. Cause while some people might enjoy that kinda vibe, you need to be respectful of everyone's time there by not distracting others. If people are down with it, that's okay but it isn't for me that's for sure.
It's actually refreshing to hear someone peace out knowing if they say anything, it'll just cause more of a headache. Nobody's got time for that. Good for them.
I’m a sprout lvl 50 Paladin been playing only 5 days so I haven’t raided yet, but I used to play mystic (support healer) in Tera and yea, healing can be stressful especially if you’re new to the dungeon, don’t have strong gear, etc. I always worried about dying or the tank dying cuz then it’s rip. I liked co-healing in raids because it meant I had some help with heals.
I know a girl in real life that acts similarly to Moon. She has an inferiority complex compared to other women, and hungers for the male gaze. If there is a guy in the room, she will constantly try to one-up the other girls she’s around (even her friends) in order to be the center of his attention. It’s kind of unfortunate. Previously I kinda liked her and planned to ask her on a date, before I realized she flirts with everyone. We are still friends but I hope she figures her life out.
I used to have a "friend" that demanded to play tank but also felt entitled to take long extended breaks mid content so everyone could just wait for them. Shit is super annoying
That’s a person that’s is begging to be muted…. As soon as she would have started singing, I would have left…. But yeah back in my raiding days it was basically the same, all the guys simping for that one girl in the group, treating her like a queen… developing an ego that is bigger than the sun… But it seems like it’s the “norm” to have that one person in a group that’s just a weirdo or is really bad at the game, and gets pulled trough anyway because someone’s friends with them or because they are funny… Been in a group for a long time, with a guy who was just not good enough to raid he was really slow to react and so on, but everyone defended him because he was funny… he got all the loot first because he needed it most because of low dps…. We wiped so many times bacause of him nobody cared, if others fucked up or made mistakes they where bullied and made fun of….
Almost dropped healing in swb. Was my first time healing in an extreme, was solo healing, no one was dying everything was fine. I was the first to get the mount and it was met with "ofc the person who deserves it the least gets it." And I couldnt even respond, i was stunned. I asked my friend who was with us if theyll switch jobs woth me. Decided to switch to healer again in abyssos because our static had been on hold for 2 weeks. I just said id learn to heal and I loved it. Boring dps phase, but figuring out how to maximize that dps and minimize gcd heals was fun to me. P8S was my favorite to heal.
First. Also I like the map owner rolls need and others can roll greed. We make sure everyone has maps and will give others gil to get maps. Plus offer rides to the treasure chest locations
Ahhh I remember I used to be the only girl in my static and also got laughed at by the guys for having the "kitty sneeze". I am no longer in that static because most of them took a break from the game or some just decided to no longer do endgame stuff and just keep it casual, but we still talk to each other out of the game. Honestly I would never understand this rivarly between girls in game :(
Im Doing all maps from our FC Treasure-Runs - because i frickin LOVE finding spots. And im fast at it :D im even mad when i dont find a new spot in under 3 seks XD But never ever- would i command anyone to step back from loot. Everyone can roll, because everyone helped to archive the goal.
Finding a good co healer is a struggle indeed. The only healers i ever had an amazing time with all had statics. (they would just help me get my weekly clears because my static just wasn't there yet) All healers i ever had in a static sucked BIG TIME. Never communicate and were annoying in general as well.
I don’t do savage stuff but it would honestly suck if someone was singing in voice chat and dying cuz you could not hear the call out or messing up the mechanic
For maps, I only like the rule of the map owner getting to need on only one item, and the rest is for everyone. But I only did this with my fc, where everyone agrees with it. Or we can ask if we really want something
I suppose I'll be the odd one out and say that I'm alright with some map groups being owner rolls. It guarantees you'll be getting some items from your portals and incentivises people to bring their own maps. And if you're a broke bastard like me you're still getting money from the runs.
After raiding a couple of tiers with the same co-healer and developing with them the dynamic of talking healer stuff I cannot for the life of me to go back to healers that you have to squeeze to get any kind of feedback. Why do they even raid with a static??? And I'm not going to even start with the muting and the singing stuff.

BUT i don’t understand why the two healers don’t communicate their healing styles to each other first before starting anything with a static. I feel like that would prevent a lot of drama. like if i was about to join a static but found out my healing style of my cohealer would annoy me, i’d honestly not join to avoid a headache.
I don't get the thing about maps. Why not just get a map so you get loot aswell? The map party I has been part of for ages always had the rule that map owner got the loot of their map unless they didn't want it, in which case greed roll would happen. I mean, it's not like maps are difficult to get. Just go slap a bush once a day. Takes a minute at most

Nothing kills an FC faster than an attention drama queen and her army of super simps. Also cliques in game, every FC/LS has this and people are just oblivious to it. I've considered sharing my story of how my FC broke up in a similar matter, but it's been years and I'm sure my deets are hazy.
I will NEVER forget my static experience it was so bad and dumb, like I got called out and they didn't even care or bother to ask why I left 😂 obviously a clique
Me: I'll try starting a static for this tier. *Proceeds to end up being the only girl* Me: ...This might actually work out. I have butted heads with other girls in the past, mainly out of misunderstandings, but since then, I've gotten better with handling communication.

Meanwhile, you're the one who has spend their time and gil getting the maps you run. I'd be furious. FFA is great, I do those all the time. So long as everyone brings a few maps with them~ Bring maps, and don't get mad about loot rules when you're not providing as much to the party as you think you are by being there.

Maps should always be free for all. Maps aren't hard to get nor are they expensive after a couple of weeks. Nothing sucks more then your Maps not giving portals and never being able to have a chance to get anything decent. The last time I was in a owner needs party I ended up getting 6 crafting mats from the 50/50 and pissed off the whole group. They were a bunch of randos except for my one friend. I was never invited to a map run. I provided my own maps
Does Pathra change the names? because if not, thats hard on against TOS, calling out all those people. If they get butthurt and report your channel for it, you can loose your ingame account for that. (And also reason why Mike - Preach, changes always names in the stories he gets) The map thing. We do it, we each take one to two maps. Loot belongs to whoever owns the map, its fair. AS someone who always looses every roll, i take that over "you can roll on anything"

Loot belongs to whoever owns the map, its fair. AS someone who always looses every roll, i take that over "you can roll on anything"
