    Hey Cj, love the content! Not sure if you’ll remember me from PRI, but I had asked you about a dream for one of my videos. One of my favorite things about everything y’all do is just how real you are. I love that you show the normal struggles, I always try to do the same thing as well. if y’all ever need a hand or an extra crewmember from the track I’m close enough that I’m more than happy to make the drive to try and help you out.

    You are correct on the beams on the timing system, and if he had a extension aka a pecker on that chassis car it could have even been worse

    Tripping the beam with the front tires on the big end is just a con of having long travel struts. KC Maxx had a flip down mechanism that extended out just for this cause. He had a video on his TikTok explaining how it works.

    Hi CJ... I've been drag racing (bracket racing) since the early '80's. Depending on the sanctioning body and track owner/personal preference, the beams at the finish may be setup differently at different tracks. You always need to check beforehand how they have them setup. But NHRA have theirs setup to be triggered by the car body itself and not the tires. They did this because many very high horsepower cars were going past the beams with their wheels in the air, and not stopping the clocks. I know that Atco (at least it used to be this way, not sure now) were triggered by the tires, and if they seen you had one of those little funny extenders on the front of your car, they would disqualify you.
    In NHRA, if memory serves me correctly, they allow for 45" from the center of the front wheel to the front of the car, so that's why many people will put those extenders on their cars, to make them the full 45" long, and help keep it a more even race.
    Anyway, hope that helps. Always check with the track before racing how they setup their system so you know who the race is going to go, and what to expect. Peace.

    Buddy watch out about shooting a shot gun in the well casing the back compression will split your barrel on a shot gun. we use to use the old M80's in our well or about a 1/8 of a stick of dynamite.

    CJ when i run at 52 i always have NT all over my car and always let the guy running the lanes know i don’t want my time posted or talked about. They’re pretty cool about not letting it out as long as you let them know not too.

  • @allenlord3679

    I like the decision to split. Always good for both parties in finals to receive a little something for their time and effort. Racing isn't cheap. % up to what the 2 drivers decide.

    I know you won't remember me but I've spoken to you on the phone when you've talked to Chris Bailey, he and I are best friends, build each other's mustangs and I work with him dailey doing auto glass. My cousin Johnny and Tiny Messer run the track I can't believe they missed that call. Sorry CJ glad to see you down our way again but we could told you if you'd called Chris about the timing system. Don't be a stranger oh my wife still loves your car better than mine and idk why lol Much love and respect and good luck this year, I love my ford's so like to see some wins

    Yeah CJ , that last race you definitely won that race with that vega , BUT you have to remember what his last words was ( there no finish line recording...) you should definitely have something on your frontend to record finish line races ..the vega definitely had his video on but he wasn't going to show you because in the video he lost , time system won , so he went off that..
    Hey , you firing shots down that freaking well pipe was nutts!!.then you put that freaking dry ice down it and sat on it , I thought your butt was going to the moon😊😊..
    I learned something new for well systems today, thanks..😊😊

    • @patrickm.8425
      @patrickm.8425 6 месяцев назад

      It's how the track has their system setup, the beams are set high to sanctioning body rules. If the nose of your car is way up in the air and your tires trigger the beams, it's not the tracks fault or the other guys fault. Joseph Means is an awesome guy, and would never "f" anyone out of a race. To him, it's the way races are, he doesn't race on the streets or by street rules, he has always raced on a track via track rules. It's just a lesson learned.

    • @TheNotoriousSN95

      Maybe wait until the other video drops. Maybe I like this video, he'll actually post footage of the whole run. Not take a video from the right lane, and cut them off before the finish line.

  • @joshuaherring6504
    @joshuaherring6504 6 месяцев назад +2

    The front end being higher than the trap beams is real. KC Max lost two races because of that. He made a nose peace below the chin spioler to be low enough to trip the beam.

  • @victormackenzie-davis2711
    @victormackenzie-davis2711 6 месяцев назад +2

    It is very so, your tires clicked the beams, I quess in the future you have your own people at the finish line, and that problem is resolved. Just a tthought

    Xtender is allowed,... 24 in i believe from front spindle centerline.
    For bulb racing may equalize dumped nose/ newer car
    My truck picked up 2 tenths, its ultra slow but made a difference

    • @patrickm.8425
      @patrickm.8425 6 месяцев назад

      Yep. Always check at the track you're racing at for their rules and how their finish beams are setup, it will save a lot of headache/heartache in the end.

      It’s hard to tell with different angles of cameras a finish line would have worked best for it, just something else we have to keep in mind. Yes a mount would be a great ideal if we continue with timing system races

    Pretty good weekend overall, right ? That stop-action photo at the cone sure looked like you were ahead' but it was at an angle so it's hard to say. I don't understand why there wouldn't at least be someone at the cone with even just a phone videoing the finish line ? Anyway, old RA looked like she was going straight and fast ! PLUS, she came home healthy which is always good. Till next time !

      Look don’t come on this page starting trouble. We did not say anything bad about the race or anyone at it etc we used the videos we had or was sent to us as always.We will not capture every view, we also do not take other people’s videos to make ours unless a conversation was had with permission.It was a great race, the only way to call a win other than the timing system is a camera at finish line. Most tracks do both . We are not upset in any way, we made our statements . The fact you are on here posting links tells people you are chasing for attention, not a good look, but to each his own.

      @@raggedyannohiosmalltire2329 all I'm offering is more camera views. And the knowledge that it was protested. It was an amazing race. I'm not starting anything. I've been fans of you guys since I saw you run the small tire stuff at NPK at National Trails. Nothing but respect. That was probably one of the closest races I've ever seen. I appreciate all the compliments about the track and the other racers. This just has more info on the same race, that's all.
