Honestly from a content perspective personally I find it a lot more fun to watch someone who enjoys what they are doing (not ranked it seems) rather than see them suffer so if there is anything else you enjoy I’d love to see it ( this is just constructive criticism not a rude comment or anything like that)

I disagree. I like seeing people get tilted playing comp because that's actually what happens. Happens all the time in diamond/masters. I don't like when all creators do is show their best games because it's not an accurate or honest representation of what comp is.

@Genesis Osuna i agree that tilting and bad games happen all the time, but if flats isnt enjoying himself, he should probably take some time away from it. i dont want to tell him what to do, rather it'd be good for him to know he has the option
@@genesisosunathat’s fair to show what it can be like but when I used to play another game, I was constantly tilted and not enjoying myself. Honestly it screwed up my mental health real bad, because why the hell was I subjecting myself to such mental torture when I could either a) choose to change my mindset or b) simply switch to another game. It’s easy to be okay with tilting when you want accomplish a goal (like ranking up or simply getting better) but when you play the game when you simply feel like you have to because that’s what you’ve been doing for the past 2 years, its just not worth jt. I just don’t want Flats to get so burnt out that he tanks mentally

Counter swapping your opponent is pretty muc the most important thing to do in this game atm. Ults don't mean much when you can just swap to a character that counters the best player on the enemy team/tank. The ult charge conversion is cool on paper but all it's done is turn Overwatch into Counterwatch where you spend the whole game just swapping characters and it just isn't fun imo.

@@lostxnxyou Not knowing how to play vs ur counters is the reason ur hardstuck. I got better at widow by playing specifically against tracers and sombrad until I was able to diff them. Don't blame the counter pick, get good.

The game has BEEN unplayable since it dropped for folks who don’t no life it. I think something that’s funny is now even the ppl who legit do nothing other than play the game are feeling it.

Now high elo is stuck with the same monkeys that got the game fecked over to begin with. All these awful changes were to sate the plebeian lower ranks and whiny support babies who could no longer hide behind 2 tanks.
Literally 5v5 just brought all of the overwatch communities issues to light in a far more obvious manner. The reason majority of the community hates anything is due to skill issues, so things that actually need fixing get overlooked.
THE DPS PASSIVE THAT DID SOMETHING WAS REMOVED BECAUSE PEOPLE COULDNT AIM. NOT BECAUSE IT WAS OP BUT BECAUSE PEOPLE LITERALLY COULDNT HIT THEIR SHOTS WITH A MILD SPEEDBOOST.

Between the state of the game and how braindead the community is as a whole, I uninstalled this game after hearing about PvE. It's not worth it anymore. I'm not saying everyone is stupid but a good portion of them I wonder how they tie their shoes without breaking their hand.

its not even just a t500 thing ive had like 8 hr ranked sessions the past 2 days and like 40% of my games are either people in plat that play like their in bronze or people that literally walk into walls and feed for no reason other than to tilt others. nobody plays seriously anymore

Because of how stupidly low the time to kill is. It basically means which ever team makes a mistake first loses and the rounds are so long that the problems just compound until the round ends.
Totally agree. Looks like OW2 borrowed League's "49% win rate" matchmaking. 1st game: you stomp. 2nd game: you get stomped. Repeat.
the matchmaker is just too loose. I feel like sure keep quick play the way it is, but why can ranked not be a little bit more selective. Like as a diamond 5 player earlier today, I see game average diamond 4, it sounds good on paper, then I check profiles, we have masters tanks(game mustve been awful for them) other support was plat, one dps was diamond the other was plat. Just ridiculous game, but this is the majority of games in ranked. Only they set the default to be profiles set to private so they can hide this bs.

The stomping is because of a change they made in matchmaking system in ow2. Basically they are prioritizing the queue time for actual skill so that people would stop crying about the long queue times. It's actually worse this way imo
this is why 6v6 is a better and more balanced than whatever this game is now,
i would sacrifice both the second firestrike and cancleble charge to go back...

6v6 was objectively worse, it just hid all these problems behind CC and more defensive resources.
5v5 only sucks because of catering to the bottom% of the game.

With 5v5 It took me 3 seasons to even get one game with a semblance of teamwork compared to 6v6 where it pretty much was that every match.
I promise you that even total mayhem has more teamwork than competitive 5v5

YOU LITERALLY FEEL AN ARTIFICAL DIFFERENCE. Anyone who knew how the game worked already saw the fights being lost as the mistakes happened, but because it took longer it felt less bad.
The counterpicking is only an issue if your team doesnt know how to play the game. Counterpicking was a bigger issue in ow1 than it is in ow2. What does reaper not exist in ow1? does phara mercy not exist in ow1? does widow not exist in ow?
Tank duos could peel and make up for team mistakes easier sure, but if youre stuck with an idiot on offtank youre just as screwed as you are in 5v5 with no dps or no supports.
Its just more copium from a community has no fucking clue what it needs.
ALL 5V5 DID was amplify the issues ow already had, and not just with its balance but with its whiny, coping and delusional community.

Soldier, reaper, or bastion would all counter that pretty well. Echo doesnt have as much health or maneuverability as pharah

A literal season or two ago, I was almost diamond 5 on tank. This season ;however, I am dropping and losing games way too often. My last W:L ratio was 5:13, because either I faced Junker Queen(who is so broken) or cause the team didn't know who to switch to. Tank role is an abomination, it is insanely difficult to climb(at least for me). The worst part, as a dps player, I get the enemy so low, then they get healed and have their hp back in like a second to where I get screwed over. Healer role is so broken, not only that, Blizzard really had to make Brig get a giant shield like Rein LOL. Also nerfing Zarya and Hog to the ground to where they aren't vital counterpicks and making Junker Queen completely broken to where it's almost impossible to counter. Well Done Blizzard.
the more i read your comment the more it made sense, im a tank main, same thing with me i was just shy of diamond last season, and im struggling to climb, where as in support a role i only played when bored, i hit masters fairly easily. support is incredibly broken imo

Again, down in Plebe Rank here, as I play mostly QP, but the least fun I have with this game boils down to 3 things (as a Support / Tank Main):
- Widow, Hanzo, Bastion, Junkrat and Pharah’s entire existence.
I hate the melt factor of Bastion, Junkrat and Pharah, especially when our DPS refuses to counter-swap and/or just can’t hit the target. I tend to swap to Baptiste so I don’t have to worry about movement reduction with Ana, but still, I shouldn’t have to pull double duty when these guys refuse to stay out of LoS against the opposing team.
Widow and Hanzo just feel unfun to fight against. Widow has no hitbox, and even if these guys land a body shot, you’re in death range because of all the other shit going on.
- Getting CC combo’ed to death by Tanks.
Overall I just don’t like being mostly deleted without a counter option.
- Not being healed because our Supports have a touch of the bloodlust.
This can’t be helped. At least before this was F2P, people knew what their roles and expectations were. Now I feel like every game is me and four 9 year olds against some OWL team.
I can’t describe how accurate this is; I’ve been playing my gfs account but recently created my own and it’s tough; especially with not having all the characters to swap to when needed. And yes I legit had a little kid in my game the other day in comms. This game is so fun and is the best game ever; support/tank main

You sound like you just stand in the open, get deleted, and then blame the game.
The game isn't unbalanced at the lower ranks, you just aren't that good at it. That's not a game issue that's a skill issue.
Just wait out bastions turret form then they are useless. They have the hitbox size of a tank without the health. Unless your going against a really good bastion they arent that good. Most just use turret form instantly so you just wait a couple secs then push in hard cause they’re practically down a dps at that point.

I'm actually curious, but with everyone saying how bad tank is, what can one really do about it? Nerf them too hard and they just become nearly unplayable like Hog. Over buff them and they just become these unlikable machines like Queen. I just don't see how they could balance them.
Also side note, Kiriko's teleport has been buggy for like, a whole ass season. Teleporting higher than your target and getting the teleport animation, but not actually teleporting. Sometimes that shit even goes on cooldown. Her suzu is also buggy in that the immunity effect is seemingly the last thing that occurs when you use it. Like in instances where you cleanse yourself and a teammate, only for you to die and for your ally to actually get cleansed. Or when you see the effect but still die, or when the enemy gets bopped by it, but you still die, even when throwing it at your feet-

Don't worry guys, I'm sure the PvP will get improved soon. They're only a group of small indie devs. And they've just scrapped 4 years of work, that'll surely mean the PvP will improve. Right guys? Right????

Overwatch 2 has always been this mess at lower levels, it's just got so bad skill can't plug that gap for top 500 anymore. People meme that overwatch 2 is overwatch 0.5, but they managed to take I game I found fun and make frustrating. Comp is an honest joke, and blizzard aren't even trying to fix it because they know balance is less important then broken heros for the people who pay for them. The simple truth is, it's only going to get worse.
Oh, and those who don't pay? Good luck grinding out those hero challenges. They take forever. Oh, and matchmaking has never been fixed lol

Take this with a massive grain of salt from someone that has never touched a ranked game of any kind (pretty sure I would be a bronze anyway) I might have the game sense of a potato, but it's not hard to see when a character simply being there turns into a problem. People look at me crazy when I say Brig is just another Tank with lower Hp but a ton more Regen. Take this from someone that tried out 5e cleric, you get to basically have 2 classes in one.
Now that my rant is out of the way, I do want to wish Flats the best of luck with how things are going for him. I'm wishing you the best when finding the light at the end of this long tunnel.
You might not really be on the mark, but you are kind of close to one thing; supports have a TON of flat easy value as a role. Discord orb is just one of them. And there's a reason anyone who existed in this community in 2018 was paralyzed with fear when brig got buffs. Nothing says "successful and fun competitive team hero shooter" like no-aim supports dominating the game right lol. So weird how ow1 was growing then suddenly started nosediving in 2018 when brig was released and GOATS was a thing for like 2 years. Devs too busy trying to turn one of the most successful new IPs of all time from a FPS to an MMO to learn anything in response to their game crashing and burning I guess.
Ranked honestly ruined the game for me. I was bronze 5 (so good) and after 5 wins and 3 losses I stayed Bronze 5. What's the point in climbing if the only way is to unrealistically win EVERY single game :(

So I play tank now more than ever, other than the lost fun of 2 tank synergy it is infinitely better. You’re essentially a hero class walking around, yea you take a lot of CDs which can make you feel useless but just think how useless you feel in support for example. And dps is just not for me

I just listen to music and don't care about the outcome of matches all that much. Now that OW is F2P i just go with the flow.
I was a top 500 Mcree main in overwatch 1 and just downloaded OW2 over the weekend.. I placed masters 3 and holy wow has the matchmaking changed.. I consistently see “masters” players with gold level mechanics and awareness.. Idk what happened but they’re letting anybody into masters + it’s weird

I find it funny how people always call support a thankless role when tanks eat 90% of incoming fire and, according to the teammates I get, it is the tanks job to deal with the eneny dps, pressure the enemy supports, and duel the enemy tank, all at once, without heals and while the dps mag dumps into a double pocketed tank.
Then at the end of the game, the tank gets blamed.

You went in for a 3v1 against zen and Ana. Why are you shocked that you died? Discord and anti literally ruin your life there. That also happened after you said tanks are cosmetic at this point. When you dive headfirst against a zen that can discord you and an Ana that can anti you, yeah. It’s not a great play. Especially when Rein is blocking your team at the door.

Hadn't played in 2 months. Tried again for first time the other night- 4 games , logged out. Can't even blame it just on Blizzard anymore. The current influx of trolls that have rushed to the game after hearing all the problems have come to make sure the game gets finished off to the dust bin.
I wish I could play the game on good computer before Blizzard put the game on lifesupport -in lower ranks the gameengine chooses matches according to your custom fps settings -obviously silver are 75 hz + and so on but i guess the line gets blurred - playing on a office monitor takes me nowhere soon

Earliest days of Ow2: stop shooting the tank.
Ow2 now: tank is fundamentally the easiest role to kill and you should focus them at all times.

Because now people are realizing it’s easier to kill the tank since there’s only one of them and no amount of heals is gonna let the tank do what it needs to do.
Also it’s been proven time and time again that supports are such a pain in the ass to deal with and you gotta get past their tanks anyways. So why not just go after the easier target who DOESN’T have immortality or invincibility.
What went wrong? Discord orb still exists in this state of the game. Now people have adjusted to just throwing it on the big lumbering mound of ult charge that runs headfirst into your team.
At 2:18 why aren't you getting healed through the bleed? You clearly hit the Rein, you get a hitmarker and the sound, but the Cooldown doesn't get reduced and you don't get healed

I got to say, Flats, your negativity about all things Overwatch (including spectating and flaming bronze players vod reviews for views) has caused me to stop watching your content regularly. It's gotten tiresome. I initially started watching you to become better at Rein. Just take the plunge, and switch to streaming Apex, Valorant, or whatever if that's where the money is that. You clearly resent feeling stuck playing a game you hate because your revenue and reputation are intertwined with the fate of Overwatch. It's been coming through with your content for years.
No way tank needs nerfs, for most tanks all you have to do is play a flying or long range comp and they can't do anything and have to rely on their dps

tbh glad i quit after the pve announcement. i'd love to see flats diversify his content on his main channel to grow a non-overwatch audience because tbh i'm not sure how much life is left in the game
like, flats certainly has the personality to make variety sustainable. he grew his core audience from being good at the game, then attracted the more casual overwatch viewers (like myself) by being an entertaining guy. now he just needs to get that casual variety audience and he can grow a ton. he has both the gameplay to attract core fanbases of games, and the personality to attract a wider audience and i'd love to see him become even more successful, like super or xqc or even samito.
i know i would certainly watch an edited flats let's play of tears of the kingdom or resident evil or something
