I had to quit the game. I am 100% convinced this game draws in the ABSOLUTE WORST people humanity has to offer. I used to love this game and I still watch people play it, but if I meet someone IRL who plays this game, I assume they are a terrible person. I don’t think I’ve ever met a nice Overwatch player. Dog shit community in a dog shit game that’s basically just a greedy shell of its former self made by a team that refuses to admit the game was better with 6v6. Fun to watch, but playing it is the worst. I want this game to die but in the same way as when you have an old dog that’s suffering and you just want it to find peace by passing.
And then getting reported and losing communication privileges

That last bit with the valiant attempt to push the cart to 2nd on Dorado was so fun to watch, I remember seeing it on stream. A shame it was lost.
That Torb AFK in enemy spawn is a classic. They have clouded gold through low plat with these players. Honestly is the reason I won't play the game anymore, just isn't worth it because I am getting matched with Random after Random like this. But the game feels bad after deranking me and gives me a couple winnable games to rank back into the same rank. And rinse and repeat, it's not fun, and not worth the grind when I don't have that much time to spend playing the game. I can only imagine what the game is going to be like in the next year without a decay system if these people have been able to make it up to those higher level ranks.
Let me mention that I do blame myself, specifically my lack of mental fortitude to be able to climb as well. I just get so dragged down after playing games like this with people who just refuse to actually play the game. And in these ranks people don't pay much attention to what's happening half the time. So if I don't play 110% always I am worried I am going to get reported for throwing. Season 9 made it more fun to climb, but these people make it completely not worth it IMO.
Thats why everyone just makes new accts for ranked. Why would you grind all day just to be put in unwinnable matches essentially just wasting your time when you can make a fresh acct with no history and actually climb assuming you truly deserve your rank up
Fr peaked mid master on all roles before “rank reset” (totally not rank decay) and now low diamond on main. No reason to grind to the same point I was seasons ago, especially when it’s been almost 2 seasons and no one is champ 1 😭

I just demoted 3 ranks in a row after coming back from a week break. I think Ill make the break longer this time.
im not gonna lie i genuinely cannot understand how someone can have the mental for multiple hours of playing ranked in this game, hell even quickplay is miserable imo, after just playing a few bad games i genuinely want to commit existence fraud, the mental iron wall that streamers and high level players in general have should genuinely be researched by psychologist's
Unfortunately that's the only real way to climb. Notice how like 90% of The higher rank players are people who can put 6+ hours a day into Overwatch Ranked Grind.
Probably, your problem is that you expect too much from random teammates and have too high expectations of yourself. Personally, I just focus on playing and trying my best without any expectations.
For flats this is just his just his 9-5 with a really high paycheck 🫠

Existence fraud is the funniest shit I’ve heard in a while.
Sending a rein firestrike into the enemy spawn doors at the start of the game is essentially the same as sending an arrow with a writ of challenge, and it is left to the enemy tank to decide how to respond: with cowardice, or with hammer and shield.

It was sad but rien doesn’t work when the widow just shoots around the shield. Or I’m just coping for flats.

If there is a good widow on the enemy team and you dont have an equaly good widow to contest the other widow you can not go rein. Your support will be too scared to peak making the other rein have a huge advantage in that mirror.
Disrespectful yes, but widow generally just fucking ruins your fun for daring to play in a rein mirror if your dps doesn't keep her in check. Which doesn't seem like it happened. It becomes worse on widow maps too.
There's literally nothing else he can do except swap because Widow will hold a lobby hostage because she's broken as fuck.

Because of the "lynch" part I'm guessing they are at least racist but most likely close to nazi territory. Lynching has a specific history in the USA, related to the KKK and such.

I can't believe this guy hasn't been banned jet. Couple of weeks ago, he did something similar in Samito's game, where he went lifeweaver and just been pulling people back into spawn.
OW’s ban system is actual dogshit so it doesn’t surprise me. Even the most blatant of cheaters will be allowed to stick around for months sometimes

As a support player: its time to nerf the shit out of us. We should not be able to bale out peak bad positioning. Lower our healing, nerf our denial tools. Im here to support, not to make everyone immortal.

As a tank player: I say reduce our damage and increase our health. I’d rather be more brawly and make space, than peek, get a potential kill and back out til full hp

They wouldn't do that to wifeleaver because thats his entire identity, forced reposition. Blizzard is the kinda stupid that won't change a character's identity so this wont happen to him at least. Brig's mace is also part of it, unlikely they'll nerf her denial there outside of making tanks more resistant to knock back (which kinda works I suppose).

We had a Rein mirror, enemy Rein on first point killed me and called me Traaash
I wasn't really paying attention
I felt like being silly and go for sneaky pins
I ended up pinning him into the hallway on the left at beginning of second point and killed him
Changed my angle and pinned him again and killed him
Went back into the corner of the hallway and he was expecting me but didn't expect the solo shatter into pin for another kill
Next fight he got me but the next fight i kidnapped him over to the mega on the right and he gave up

Enetering a ranked game as a solo player is detrimental. You literally have a 50 50 chance of having a team with synergy. You could tell right away when your playing against a stack of people

I feel like they should try a change where if the cart is within a certain range of the checkpoint then the cart will move whichever way has more bodies on it. So we don't have 2CP momments. So you can just stack 3 on and finish the map when its within 10M or so

I love the Widow complaining at the end because they got dove. They pick a broken, brain dead hero and then cry whenever they get focused.

It’s without question not fun. Trolls like a guy I had on ball who literally just purposely rolled around on ball and sat still most of the time shooting just enough to not get kicked . Then the guys admitting to boosting accounts from top 500…. The people who literally play worse than the equivalent in QP bragging about being high or drunk…. Then mysterious leavers who quit during a winning game only to force a loss. Why put up with this crap, and that’s not even touching on the derank kiddies…. All that headache for a number?
