- The US says Israel has agreed to reschedule a canceled trip to Washington to discuss Israel's plans for a ground assault on the southern Gazan city of Rafah. Israel originally pulled out of the talks after the US decided not to veto a United Nations call for a cease-fire in Gaza. More than one million Gazans are currently sheltering in Rafah as Israel pursues its offensive against Hamas militants responsible for the October 7th terror attacks. Israeli airstrikes on the city overnight have raised fears that a ground offensive could soon begin.

Wait a minute. You're asking the question of responsibility to protect civilians belonging HAMAS. Understand that the Israeli indiscriminate killing of civilians is being excused by Israel as "HAMAS using human shields" and "HAMAS hiding within civilians." You see the problem here is that there cannot be any organized Palestinians functioning to protect civilians because the Israeli Occupation Force will kill all of them as being "HAMAS controlled". There used to be a Palestinian police force in Gaza but Israel killed the police as well. Why? "HAMAS" controlled and it was the Police of Gaza that could organize and control food distribution but again they've been killed which is why there's chaos with starving Palestinians trying to get food when the food convoy trucks arrived and the Israeli Occupation Force started killing Palestinian civilians at the convoy.
