Kyle, you never cease to amaze me! Haha I remember when you use to have only one or two videos of old cars a week, now you're doing used cars to $500,000 Maybach's. Keep up the great work Kyle.
rocko295 yea but im used to the gas lights being on I have a 99 Tahoe 4x4 that thing sucks down fuel I been getting about 12 miles to the gallon city driving its actually more like 8 now as the engine needs repair I get 200 miles on one tank of gas I actually been considering getting something newer but I do like the Tahoe but I really like the jeep.
I have a '05 GTO making 580hp RWHP. I was merging onto a empty freeway & one of these was on the freeway just behind where I was merging. Well this thing kicks up it's heels & before I know it, I'm skipping down 2 gears to catch it! I caught up to it & stayed just behind it in the next lane. As we moved past a certain speed, the Jeep hit a speed limiter & I rocketed past. But it was impressive. If I ever had to get a SUV (shudders at the thought), I'd run to Jeep for one of these
That's the beauty of it. Nothing better than a fast SUV with tons of room for friends and cargo and the ability to go off roading... Also love that Jeep didn't sellout and turn the JGC into a mom's dream "crossover." (I'm looking at you, Ford. What you did to the Explorer is a shame.)
Extraordinary exhaust notes! Carbon fibre finishing on the door handles & dashboard is insane!! (only seen this kind of carbon fibre finishing in the new CLS & SLS Mercedes). Mad respect for the SRT .
Someone said "Gas light is on, get used to that if you buy one if these!" Not a problem if you have lottery $$$. Can't wait to buy this truck tomorrow!
Personally, i like the year younger jeep str8, looked more stylish in every way. Especially in black, good combo with the black rims and body kit that it comes with. Probably the best looking SUV i have ever seen.
Dude, it is great to make In Dept review BUT, please find a friend to hold the camera and help while you show and explain, because this back and forth, up and down movement really make me sick after 2 min. The point is to change the angle and avoid the unnecessary footage. The benefit is also cutting a lot of time - over 10 min is quite a lot for reviewing one car! Please accept it as "improvement guidelines" not as criticism :)
excuse me but I'm the PERFECT MAN to judge since I drive the 06 SRT8 JEEP, 488lbs heavier and a couple of inches taller is not 'a bit heavier' it's very heavy, that's why even the added 50hp does NOTHING To improve it's performance numbers, in fact it's slower!! my 06 SRT8 easily outruns it and out corners it as stated in C&D magazine, not to mention 20K more for a slower hemi? that's outrageous!!
Have a look for the video on here. Most of the 0-60 times he was getting were in the range of 4.7 to 5.5 depending on various conditions but he showed his best time on the stopwatch that is built into all new SRT models that was 4.4 seconds
I just sold my old Grand cherokee 4.7 V8 HO WJ, it was fast, comfortable and reliable and never got stuck except in the deepest of mud when it once came up to the axles. I sold it after 90k miles purely because I fell in love with a 5.7 Hemi WK overland. Goes like a bloody rocket, fully loaded and is smooth and as quiet as silk. I might do a video of her one day and post it on here.
Oh, and the only other thing I wish was the wheels matching up with the car like the previous srt8. I think those wheels and that chiseled look of the last model were simply perfect together.
This is a really fantastic performance SUV. You really do explain everything about vehicles so well. I don't think the dealer could do a better job. The one thing that he doesn't do is make negative comments about everything. If you watch all those other guys, all they do is bitch about what they think is wrong. That's why I listen to you and no one else. Keep up the excellent work.
HOLY GEEZ KYLE UR ON A ROLL WITH THESE VIDEOS!!!! how do you get time to balance youtube and school, life, ect. ANYWAYS keep on making these great videos
Great review. I'd love to buy this vehicle, but Jeep has had bad customer reviews over the years. Has this one improved quality wise? Dependability good?
Well considering this Jeep's performance numbers are almost on par with the BMW X5M, Porsche Cayenne Turbo and MBZ ML63 AMG it's actually a great value at around $65k considering the German counterparts cost around $100k. It also won't be as expensive to maintain if you plan on keeping it for a long time.
i want this car, i seen one the other day. perfect car for a person who wants a high performance SUV!!! great videos saabkyle04, only in-depth video i like, keep up the great work!
4.4 seconds is all anyone needs to know. They could've put double the weight that they did and it would still be faster. I've also bashed on more recent models of the cars I've drove in the past because I couldn't afford the new one. You'll get over it eventually...
@OffTrackProductions because they have them in HID projector housings with proper cut offs and light pattern to avoid blinding others unlike people that put HID kits in halogen housings which aren't equipped for that kind of light output and blinds other drivers.
I'd give this car a 9. The only point deduction is the back seats could use SLIGHTLY more knee room and it looks a bit to upright and uncomfortable. Other than that, this revised Jeep is MAGNIFICENT ! Absolutely beautiful inside and out. And not plagued with copious amounts of plastic ! Mid 4's 0-60 and low 13's 1/4 with huge brembo 6 piston brakes are great ! I think one would be doing themselves a disservice by not considering this among other sporty suv's.
@bounceeer Remote start is great to have here in Phoenix when in the summer it is 120 degrees outside and 160 degrees in your car. Remote start lets you start it up and cool it down while you are getting ready to leave.
Nice love this SRT8. Has tow mode but no tow hitch? Does that panel remove for a hitch or something? Didnt like the last model cause of the exhaust being in the center cant tow with that.
@RedRoosterRoad Because unlike Europe there is no law requiring orange indicators in the rear. Over here they can be either red or orange. A lot of cars over here have orange in the back.
Can you please site your source that said the Grand Cherokee was built in Canada? The US spec Grand Cherokee, since 1993, has always been built at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan.
Good job on the tour. Lots of info covered. But I would have like to have heard you cover the 4WD aspects since this still is a Jeep. Though, without some of the off-road abilities of the Overland/LTD. Should be very confident on dry, wet and snow covered pavement.
I wonder if the back window still can be opened separately from from the trunk. Im also wondering why the e-brake is not a hand brake anymore. I love my Jeeps, but this one does not seem like it would suit me.
hey Kyle. Should i get this Jeep GC or an Mercedes Ml class AMG or an BMW X5 medium model this Jeep cost $79,000 for the Overland model in diesel.the Merc cost over $100,000.
Now I know this is a jeep, so it's got all wheel drive and what not, but how is it in the show? I am from Canada and I am HIGHLY considering purchasing this vehicle next spring. Is there too much power to keep control in slippery snowy weather?
Far more versatile than a sports car, more room for everything, can tow, doesn't scrape the bottom on speed bumps, excellent in snow. Being as tall as I am, I don't fit well in sports cars, I'm really just more of an SUV/truck guy than a car guy.
I love it too; but why are the color options so limited? If I get this, it will be my 4th GC, but they have all been white and white isn't offered for this Jeep.
A review on this here RUclips recorded a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds for the 2014 SRT-8. The increase in power easily accommodates for the extra weight. The only way your outdated and inferior model could beat that is if you drove it off the end of a cliff....
i only want to know why the music has to be on for the entire inside review of all the cars. i get why it should be turned on but only for a bit...always informative as all ways though!!
Huge fan of the entire SRT line. Please keep doing great things Dodge/Chrysler

RIP SRT

Zero to 60 mph: 4.6 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.3 sec
Top speed: 160 mph
Not quite as in depth but they're the only numbers C/D posted for the 2014 model.
That's the beauty of it.

pretty sick, just wished the center mounted exhausts were still available, or even an option

He does it all the time, and I like it, you can see the engine being turned and hear the exhaust.

The Jeep SRT8 is so nice. I sat in one and it blows the older one out-of-the-water. The quality is top notch.

Problem with that nice CF cabin trim is that it eventually delaminates. Fortunately, FC will warranty it, even in 2020.
