These are very accurate tests. I tested positive with this test and then went and got Covid tested at the doctor and tested positive shortly thereafter.
So what if there's a pink line right next to the black strip just above the testing area that was in the tube? Mines pink but not anywhere close to the area it should show pink at.
Not positive….that can happen from the material used to create the test strip shifting a bit. Any positive result will only be below that blue control line. T will be a parallel line to the blue control and could be anywhere from pink to darker red. Any pink around the edges as you described means nothing as far as the results of the test.

Why one swab for both passages? I just used one test for my left side and came up negative and then used another test for the right side and it came up positive.
Yes, it’s accurate both of my parents had COVID-19 ,and took the test came out positive then went to a clinic to see for themselves ,and came out positive. Hope that helps 😊

Maybe I have been doing it wrong.... while on vacation, I get negative results. Within a few days after returning to work, I start getting positive results. Staying away from others for a few days causes the red line to grow weaker over the next few tests until negative again. Then I return to work and a few days later I start getting positive results again. This is the pattern over the past 8 months. So, clearly... user error.
maybe you are using the control samples. mine came with them. one is positive and one is negative. these are to test if the tests are actually working.

You might want to check for quality control, since many of the tubes arrive empty or almost empty.
The ones I got spilled over because they were full to the top

On the instructions it says that even if the pink line is faded, it’s still a positive result

Mine was too. I had just washed my hands so they were a little slippery still had to dry them further before I could open it. It was really tight
