How funny would it be if the tried it on camera and it came out positive
Probably we won't see it on RUclips. Wahahaha.
Yep, missed opportunity for CNA drama where her relaxed demeanor turns to shock and disbelief at testing positive, followed by even more drama as she screams in denial while fighting off police summoned to take her away to be forcibly quarantined !!
Missed opp. for CNA to have gone viral (excuse the pun) globally 😹
Worse will be, first kit is negative, second is positive.
First test looks like two lines to me
hope that the girls in geylang will swipe themselves to protect Singaporeans.
If the swabs has markings (min to max) on the swab, it will at least give some guidance to how far you need to push the swab in, that will be nice.
Not really considering everyone has different sized noses. Plus why would it be remotely necessary when you can feel how far in it is
@@calador1918 make sense, you are right. Thank you.
This is very very informative. Really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
Very well done instructional vlog! Kudos to your channel
She didn’t push it in deep enough! I was swabbed twice already and each time, I teared up and sneezed a couple of times after the nurse swabbed each nostril. There should be a line on the swab sticks, so that someone will know how deep he/she should push it in his/her nostrils.
Ya. It was much deeper haha and more .. invasive 😢😢
With these same tests or was it the MOH style one?
So need to go in deeper in order to get more accurate reading?
Yes as far as it could somehow tickle your brains. That will be uncomfortable so the nurses need to be nice and gentle. Children couldn't take it.
No one is pushing that carcinogen stick deep up my nose.
V,ery useful video, thanks. I did a self test after watching the video 3 time. The instruction paper says insert the swab 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch into the nostril.
did you cover up the bottom cap after you drip off the 5 dripping solution onto the test kit while waiting for 15 minutes ? how did you handle that? leave it open?
0.5-0.75inch..that’s a nasal swab, not the usual nasopharyngeal swab that can give higher count. Definitely more comfortable & easier for most people to self-swab, but less sensitive.
FYI: The “plastic thing” is, the tray...
no its actually called a plastic mould
So far it has been the case that there had to be a clinical diagnosis before any test was ever done .....
When you do the covid-19 test , I fell spiciness in my nose 🤣🤣🤣
I thought ur supposed to insert it in parallel to a straight head? Not upwards/from below like that? Thats how u can get it really far, thats what i saw from how to in american hospital
So on my shopping will be mask test kit, face shield , O2 tank, long stick . Any recommendations?
If you're already struggling to walk and need oxygen I'd say covid is the least of your worries 😂😂
Thanks for sharing the information :) I’ve got more question :) I am traveling from Germany to Singapore next month. Can I use the one available test kit from my country of departure? Or should I buy the Test kit in Singapore upon arrival? Thank you :)
For the Abbott Panbio demonstration, an important part is missing in the video. It was not shown nor explained that the cotton bud has to be inside the long tube of solution and capped for 15 mins before uncapping the bottom white cap and drip 5 drops into test device. After which another 15-20 mins is needed for the test result.
Swab lah. Cotton bud. LOL.
@@commieskungflu1635 huh???
Smlj. Don't talk cock can? Nowhere in the instructions does it say you have to wait 15 minutes before dripping into the test device.
@@yoloteh1585 The damn thing is called a SWAB. Not cotton bud.
@@commieskungflu1635 oh no😵
Nice simple short video. I was adamant that I need a GP to guide me. Got a pack from my supermarket (my local New World supermarket, I live in NZ). 5pk for NZ$30. It def feels weird sticking long objects up our nose, which can without a doubt cause nose bleeds in many people. I tested Positive (1 solid C line, 1 faint T line). So will need to self isolate for 7 days. Upside, still be paid leave for it, and its forecast to rain over the next several days so won't be missing out on much.
Thanks for the video =))) not sure why there is so much criticism. I thought it was very helpful
Agree. Saved me the time reading all the fine print in the instructions sheets.
Is the cotton bud supposed to go into the nostril a lot further, for the test to be accurate?
Yes
No. It’s a rapid not a pcr.
For those whose noses are habitually leaky or sneezy( especially in the mornings), they probably can get samples even before dipping the stick deep in.
I'm in South Korea so thanks for putting this up in English.
What's the point of swerving it then dropping it back in?
Clear tutorial 👍🏻👍🏻
My aunt did the self exam and it was a (false) negative because she didn’t put the swab all the way up. It’s better to just go and get tested by someone in the medical field.
we are here to see how to use the self test kits , right?
444 likes...That's interesting.. Here in Europe, I have seen DIY antigen test kits available for sale at the pharmacies, for like a month now. And watching the demo video, it does reminds of pregnancy test.. as others have already commented 😂..
That isn't deep enough! You can still see the swab tip going in and out of the nostril.
It’s a rapid not a pcr
ITS A RAPID CHILE
@Diridiculous this is ART conducted by common people, NOT pcr that usually done by medical worker.
Test kits made from where? Xinjiang?
The ART swabs do not have to go in as deep as your PCR swabs
wow!!! (applause) well done Singapore!! and thank you too for doing this demo! :D
How truly accurate is this
It's not
Good efforts in showing the test. I feel @CNA should also show proper way to discard the test kit post testing. I feel that it is a bio hazard and should not go into the normal rubbish chute.
Clear instructions. Nice nails. 😋
Thanks for sharing
I needs to do this too
looks more comfy then what I've been experiencing at the swab centre
That would be because she's doing it wrong
@@chanelnumbers1303 but then again if she is doing it wrongly, the resulg would be invalid right?
@@Nur-zo1mo nope, the results will just come out negative since it's unlikely any virus particles were picked up. That's why this is a very unhelpful video. Potentially could cause others to have false negative results.
@@chanelnumbers1303 look at the instructions for the test look how far it says to put it up, I feel it should go as far up as where you feel nasal pressure
Wow…. Nice demo … initially I thought CNA is selling these kits :p
You should also show 2 lines how is it look like
9:04 what is the point of the test?
Didn’t look that deep. Looks more comfortable than the ones before.
Should goto very back of nostrils to be accurate like they do in testing centre's
@@Matowix that’s what I expected these tests to be like….they don’t seem to be that invasive.
Because she's doing it wrongly. She's just digging nose on national TV. This is a terrible demo
Thanks for your tips my work place job employee ask me to do this so they give me one for free just to take the kit test.
It needs to go in 2inch, not just swipe the nose hair, this is negative demonstration
No it doesn't, it's not a PCR test🙄
Do we have to dig our nose first to prevent any solid particles from getting mixed into the buffer solution? :-P
Typically, the answer is no, but u can still blow your nose with a tissue if u want more accurate results
But, it's good to follow the instruction manual for accurate results!
Sadly we need some government approval to make out the documentation needed in certain situations. In Norway there are even rules for getting the tests.
How does this work tho
Suddenly, all people can become the microbiologist😂😂😂😂😂
How much does it cost for Rapid Test in Singapore?
0:29 According to Watson it's S$10-13
@@sg.johnlim haha how did he possibly miss that eh
Free COVID-19 Test; LOSS of Smell n Taste
Easy
Finally your video is useful today.
thank you so much!!!!
CNA why are you using freedom units.. "1/2 inch or 3/4 inch"
$10-15 per test or per box? How many in a box?
20 kits/ box
thank you for wearing your mask I feel safe.
Reading each comment saying not deep enough clearly did not read the ART test instructions. It's not a PCR test 🤦🏻♀️ u want so deep then go clinic insert until the back of ur throat
Erm. Can the manufacturers reduce the amount of plastic trash? How to protect the cleaners who handle these trash?
This self-test kits will help save tons of public fund that have previously gone with the wind for more than a year.
True
Free COVID-19 Test; LOSS of Smell n Taste
Easy
I think you might be overly optimistic. Antigen is never intended to be the benchmark.
Anyone infected but fully recovered also carry Antigen.
Therefore, If you're tested Covid19 Antigen Positive you would be required to go for the PCR test for validation. But even PCR test is not always accurate. And very often if they're doubtful they do at least 2 to 3 more tests.
So can you imagine if all these are repeated for even half of the 5 millions Singapore residents ?
The costs if fully beared by the government is humongous. Not to mention the massive amount of manpower and resources sucked up by testing.
@@chandrahartono644 That's the reason why we will be paying for the test. The cheapest and safest way to treat covid-19 is to let our body do the job.
Thanks girl..
How to test test kit is genuine?
Now the question, how much do these cost?
From $11-13/ test
about 1.5$/kit
Prediction all the stores will get sold out on first day of sale
yes, very popular!
Very good video 👍
Very helpful.
Placed into the blue Recycling bin after use. Save the environment.
poor cleaners have to handle more risk
Imagine like the F&B workers or GRAB delivery workers, even cleaners are all of a sudden categorised as "high risk group" hand had to undertake such DIY test. They might even get infected by accidentally introducing germs into their mucous membrane inside their nostril.
Swab too often and too deep will cause any health issues?
If nostril worn out, can use anus?
Nasal infections??
Nose bleeding??
Just Ethylene Oxide carcinogens to your respiratory system.
*Hopefully someday Scientist can come out with Mental Stage Self-Test Kit to see if there is a need for one to be evaluated at mental institution*

I don't think the swab is supposed to bend 🤦🏻♂️
My company expects every staff to take the swab test at home.
What coomunity health benefit does it have other than making Temasek richer?
@@soreeyez That's very generous for multi billion $ profits they make. Where dis you do your studies?

Doesn't look comfortable
Wah doing it for myself I can’t leh. I’ll freak out. 😰😰😰😰 actually, the times when I did my swab test, it’s so much easier if you just breathe in deep thru your nose once the stick enters. It just goes straight in without any force. It’s not so painful. If you let the swabbed push in and dig, wah damnnnnnnn pain. It hurts even more when your nose is dry for that morning.
0:54 Very long...What is very long?
How the hell should I do this if I’m afraid of getting things into my nose?
Power through
She didnt even tilt her head. Not even close to clinic swab test.
Not full proof.....?
Been swabbed for ART at clinics. it doesn't look like she's swabbing herself correctly...she's just digging her nose with a cotton bud.
Thank You
Hope this new kit will not cause further rise on covid numbers if not dispose off properly.
The MTF is prevaricating. It says people should swab themselves regularly. At $12 a kit, does MTF really expect the majority of people to do it even once a month, let alone regularly? MTF panel members "need to see a psychiatrist", if we may quote Mr LKY.
u think they so good give u vac for free ? they dont expect the majority of ppl to do it themselves, thats why now asking employers to do the dirty work. many companies are now starting to ask their employees to test, even if fully vaccinated.
I expect this to be sold everywhere soon.
@Glen Mayne so expensive!
If I do that on myself, booger will come out.
Why do this test kits cost in Singapore $ 10 +, while in the EU they cost less than SGD 1.50?
Bcs their tax pays for it maybe
@@damnnndamien6085 At least for Germany I can say that this is not so.
Or, in Indonesia 25 pc Panbio cost USD 10.

Bruh I saw these people on the internet barely put it inside. Our doctors insert at least 1/2 the length. 😂😂😂
Was it really necessary for her to wear the mask while talking to us?
No, just to influence you
When I read the title of the video, I thought that Steven would be the one testing it since he has come up a series of videos experimenting on his body with intermittent fasting, bubble tea and fried chicken.
I guess Covid-19 self-test kit is hard to fit the criteria of prolonged usage since none of us would keep doing that. XD
Examining a new model detailing the recall of information within the human brain. This limit, which psychologists dubbed the "magical number seven" when they discovered it in the 1950s, is the typical capacity of what's called the brain's working memory.
Don't think she push the cotton bud in far enough. Still can see the head of the cotton bud. That is a wrong demonstration.
The swab must enter your upper nostril. What you did is wrong.
Not thorough on e steps if one tested positive. MOH version more thorough,
👍
So what happens if once tested and gets positive, do you quarantine yourself at home, or go see a doctor 👨⚕️?
If you're tested Covid19 Antigen Positive you would be required to go for the PCR test. But even PCR test is not always accurate. And very often if they're doubtful they do at least 2 to 3 more tests.

We are talking about a revenue that's of National GDP scale !
And what about productivity ? Just forget about that as we are in a Pandemic.
Lol this lady said she was tearing up and far enuff. But i could see see the bud sneaking out of her nosetrils. Cmmon

That’s not far in enough. It should be purchased only by people who have been swabbed professionally
Eh i swab two times sia
The information is well said clearly n js by watching tis vid, I hv the idea on how to do the swab test properly :)
She did it wrongly, not deep enough to poke into the nose! The correct one is very deep until you feel you want to sneeze and cant talk while doing it!
She's doing it right. Some test don't make you poke that deep
