Dj Subatomic Supernova never fails to make me vibe, and I listen to the ost so much I can recognize all the songs and also sing parts of DK West, great game
i see how you play the game, i'm gonna say that people like you, who meta the SHIT out of everything ruin the game. been playin warframe on and off almost since it released, it's always been run and gun, but a game is what you make of it. you probably don't understand, and that's ok. i play solo to avoid people like you.
Awesome video, just want to tell you though... Amp does not max out at 200%, while you are describing its team usage its at 350%. I have personally gotten that to almost 600%.
I still haven't really figured out how inspiration is even useful though. You only get 30 energy and most of octavias abilities cost more than 30 to cast so you're still effectively resulting in a net loss of energy every time you cast an ability
It is hella odd how a warframe based around music goes invisible, instead of like, becoming the center of the enemies focus like some sorta musical tank frame. Playing Octavia should feel like performing a concert of death, but instead it feels like your playing the worlds laziest DJ hiding behind the same track the whole mission .w.
Honestly I loved some of your ideas. I am going to go on a bit of a rant on this, but if you do see this I am curious what your thoughts are on this. I think a good rework would go as such. Her 1 instead could be more of a beat "thumper". Enemies would not shoot at this. It would have half range, but you could place 2. Each time it "thumps" it would ragdoll enemies, strip x% of their armor and deal damage that scales with every 10 levels like vauban. A great fodder killer and would still debuff/cc the bigger guys a bit. The ragdoll aspect would have a cooldown to prevent overpowered CC. The intensity of hits (ragdoll duration, armor strip, and damage) would be higher the less frequent the beats are but would be more consistent the more beats there are to give more build options. For her 2 I loved your idea of the music notes. Having something like floating notes spawn around the area, they would be greyed out but would flash your energy color to rhythm and upon shooting them, would channel your damage into an AOE burst damage. Less frequent beats would heavily amp up the range/damage of said explosions, but more frequency allows you to perform them more often of course. For her 3, just remove invisibility... That's it... Like you said, you could substitute it for another buff like resistance and honestly that would be fine. I think turning it into a taunt ability would be cool. It would be risky, but you could help your allies a lot by drawing aggro, and utilizing the buffs to your advantage, you can defend yourself (and hope your teammates would too). Her 4 is fine as is I think. I am also curious of anyone else thoughts. I feel like this would make her very powerful but still require a lot more interaction and skill to use. Frames of great power should have great trade offs like low durability, which would be the case for octavia.
the concept is quite cool. Play the game in a rhythmical way, and basically play based on the music..... but the issue is that you can just max out all notes, spam crouch, and you're done.
We have a running gag in my friend group, that when any of us bring Octavia (mainly me, I’ve spent more time in the mandacord than playing the damn game) we just whisper “support character” as the mallet and roller obliterate entire decks of the ship were on.
Been playing ONLY Octavia since release and never went back to any other frame (except Saryn for focus farming). Doing literally anything with this frame. Love it.
roller and mallet being togther seems good on paper but has a few issues the biggest being mallet is hurt by roller a lot and making it a tap or hold leads to fumbling nad ability bloat a great reason why I love octavia is her simplicity set and forget isn't inhernatly bad and neither is simplicity making the madacord an active would make her overly complicated or feel like you need to set up for your setup madacord -> amp-> mallet octavia is strong and if more people play her I agree that she would need a nerf if she was being abused. I think a rework would need to keep her core gamefeel of simplicity and set to forget. I think making using her ability tied to a minigame might be a good idea. something like using them on a certain timing or in a certain order maybe both making it so you have to cycle more often to get the full use of her kit as rn I would say energy is her biggest limit even with passive which is why most people put on nourish. Making it so if ability are timed properly with a mini game like a rythme game hafled energy cost but if you messed it up doubled cost, and making ability being used in a certain order giving like 1.5x ability strength or .8x if used out of order nothing super harsh but something to encorge good play (also these could be switched it doesn't matter which or what buff ). going even further a streak or style system which made the minigame harder the better you did making the mini game harder but giving better and better rewards could make her a high skillcap frame. especially if the style meter is combined with how well her ability are doing (how much do you miss your crouches, how much of mallets uptime is wasted with no one or few enemies shooting it, how often is amp buffing teammates or other ability, roller does matter and is dog shit if their is a rework this ability should be completely changed) High skill octavia could be constantly repotstioning buffing teammates with amp while mallet takes in fire and as they go to the heart of action and use their ability well they get stronger and the ability get cheaper so they can continue (similar to how good saryns can keep toxin # high and never let it die) low skill is still possible, but a little worse, with set to forget and as they uses their skills poorly their ability get worse and they use them less frequently removing the set forget and do nothing (which is why set to forget and invis is bad it leads to near afk to full on afk) I think nerfs esp in warframe are almost never the answer this is a community which is built around optimization and min maxing if we can raise the skill cealing a lot lower the skill floor a little it would make her more dynamic and still remove her negatives. if you think this playstyle couldn't work for octavia and or does fit her current kit see how she is played in void cascade with consent repostioning having to understand map control and having to understand how to get the most out of mallet and amp to buff the team buff the mallet and not waste upkeep. this is when she the most fun and going more into that seems like the right move to me. (or DE could be lazy give a buff to ability strength and range and make them decay so you cant just set and forget but this would not be fun at all and ruin her for me and I think most players while being more "balanced")
just a comment a few min in, shes basically a boombox, but the mixtape you put in kills all the enemies who hear it, and buffs teammates who hear it, as long as they bob their head on beat.
I think the main reason why she is not that popular is bc she is just not fun to use and the reason DE doesn't nerf or buff her is exactly bc of that, if DE saw a spike of people doing endless missions with her I'm pretty sure they would nerf her performance to at least 50% not to balance but to keep people from using her until they feel like reworking her
This. I think the review barks up the wrong tree. People like cheese. If she just were too easy, she would absolutely dominate the play statistics. You can't take the invisibility away, either, because Octavia is squishy. I haven't been playing for such a long time, but I've revived my fair share of Octavia's. She's just really tedious to play with all the stuff you have to keep track of, and pressing buttons non-stop isn't everyone's cup of tea, either.
I haven't used her because you have to invest platinum 50 to like 200 or 300 I don't know for her metronome thingy, but personally I think she's actually really cool. Her design is miiiiiiiiid though I will admit
Using her for absolute full META potential must be really boring, but I didn’t get her for that. I farmed Octavia for her music and I simply cannot get bored of blasting it with my friends and dancing through missions.
I know her third's annoying to myself, plus the general downside of either having a proper tune that covers up the soundtrack or literally every damn beat going off at once which is the 'meta' option and even worse to soundtrack enjoyment.
Didn’t realize Octavia had such animosity towards her, but reading these comments quite clearly highlights that. I’ve been farming her because I like music, maybe I shouldn’t get her.
Make the pink part of the music to always have a tone playing so you can always have the buffs activate Even tho this will sound bad The base and drum dosent really matter
The problem i have with saying her being an easy frame for all activities is why she isn't used, is that is exactly why Wukong WAS used. Spy to defense, wukong was op, either with celestial twin, or the mist step. From what i heard from some players who played her as a replacement for a short time before dropping her: they didn't want to either make an actual song and learn how to use it or they simply didn't want to have to listen to the painful gibberish that made her easy. Seriously, the biggest thing i hated about octavia's during her "plague" (when her prime came out), was that roughly 7/10 songs were simply just every slot filled to get max buffs sooner. I have since met some octavia players long after, who play songs they made or recreated from other games and have a blast both going to the beat and just being a powehouse. I will always remember a good quote, never remember who from but know it was passed around a lot, "players will optimize the fun, out of everything." And i have noticed, when optimization takes precidence they don't drop it. This lack of playing isn't because of lack of fun, but because of abundance of inconvience.
Never really thought she was boring, she was my go-to when I'm just trying to chill in discord with some friends and talk. Octavia, Mesa, Saryn, Volt and Nidus we're my favorite frames when I used to play ~6 years ago. It's actually amazing that they're still relevant all these years later. I found that they dominated in the specific cases they were designed for. RUclips has been recommending me warframe videos a lot lately, I'm really tempted to hop back on and finally try Gauss, cause he was released just after I stopped playing. Edit: After about a week of getting back into warframe, I'm very satisfied with all the new content I can look forward to. Going to take it slow this time instead of rushing to endgame like I did years ago lmao.
@@CandysChannel really great actually! I've played through devuri and deimos and was genuinely surprised by 1) how much better the game looks and 2) all the new systems in place. I'm holding back the temptation to finish all the story quests just to catch up on all the new systems (argon shards, steel path, galvanised mods, kuva weapons etc.) Mostly spending time with farming primes of frames I've completely missed while away. Going through them in release order so I'm ready for rotations 🤣 Currently completed Revenant, Khora, Baruuk- and now farming for Hildryn Prime.
@@UpstageBeast That’s great! I just started on February 20 on my iPad Pro so I’m still very much newbie. I am only MR 5 now. I am building Hildryn Prime right now! I have never played her at all, so I’m excited!
I use Octavia for Thermia Fractures. Makes it easy and it’s a passive process. I bought Octavia when I just started playing after I was super fascinated with the mandachord and those songs people made. I played with her for a while, but got boring very quickly. Good for finishing eventually missions passively.
So as an audio engineer and music producer I can't explain what the mandachord is, or at least what it's similar to in real space: So, the mandichordis is less of an instrument and more of a tool. In real life, an analogous tool would be a synth, Sampler, or step sequencer. I'd personally say more of a step sequencer and sampler, cause you don't make your own sounds like you can with a synth, and neither does Octavia unless the lore states otherwise (I haven't read the lore), you load up the sounds from packs and write out your notes on a step sequencer, (step sequencers can usually go as low as 16 notes per beat), and are incredibly rare to create tracks from live as it's so hard, so they're often pre sequenced. So she seems to be more of a producer, like deadmau5, or even a DJ like Tiesto or David Guetta, so summoning the mandachord would look and feel kinda boring, you'd just have a box in front of you with 16ish little square pads on it and some nops, seeing her tapping away, or in warframes case a really fancy box with little circular pads on it lol
First, great title! Will definitely use that, second Nidus and Harrow will be together as those frames released around a similar time as well sharing their designs (ability synergy stuffs being similar)
@@sp4rklsz you never bothered to read Harrow’s flavour text? “Dauntless and devout, the dark priest Harrow bestows upon his coven three virtues: salvation through sacrifice, redemption through vengeance, and ascension through defiance.”
As an Octavia main, I think she seems boring because she has no "feel good" button. All of her skills are kind of fire and forget, and while they have a massive impact in the game, they don't look like they have the weight they actually do. Other Warframes give you instant feedback of what your "feel good" skills are doing, but Octavia just builds up DPS over time, and you only notice it's doing something because enemies suddenly drop dead. IMO, she should be reworked to make you play around her Metronome, and maybe make her Amp's decibel mechanic stand out way more. If Mallet and Resonator were to be merged, she could have space for a skill designed to do some noise (Exalted Shawzin, anyone?)
As a literal Octavia main It's literally the exact opposite of what you said. I've heard from MANY people that they find Octavia too micromanage orientated. they don't like having to keep track of a literal 7 different 30-60 second buffs. iif what you were saying was the case rhino Nezha Wukong Mesa Revenant and many more would be toted in the community for being boring and would be under played. Also for the love of God do not combine her one and two into a singular ability there are hundreds of reasons to use mallet on its own.
Imagine a re-work where you shoot on beat for dmg amp / aoe explosion. Closer you are to the beat, more dmg / aoe you get. Basically some sort of Semi-Auto gun specialist. Beat could be indicated by a falling bar (kinda like guitar hero) discrete but still visible would be idea. Add some sort of background beat into it for audio (again keep it discrete). Could have some music based CC-- making them dance (just be funny to see infested dance...) Would it be clunky and make the frame worse? Yes. But will you find a song that fits to the beat as you massacre infested with a shotgun? Yes. I just want fun frames, I don't need every frame to be Top tier.....
I'm at the 8:10 mark where it seems you have fully laid out your arguments against Octavia, I'm going to watch through the rest of the video but I want to get my thoughts out now. (Coming back to the top after finishing this, long post ahead. Skip the middle two paragraphs if you don't want my personal rant.) I'm MR 10, I've had the game since 2015 and have taken multiple year+ breaks from it before coming back and messing around for a bit. Octaiva was and still is the frame I main after moving on from Mag (best starter don't @ me) and I have heard a lot of what you said before, and it's all mostly true. She is a jack of all trades, great at everything frame, you can get perma buffs off and have scaling damage so you don't need to worry about your gear, and she can remove a lot of risk from the equation. It's great! I can come back to a game I love after a year or more of either losing interest or getting busy and have a steady and reliable way to access new content without having to learn how much of my build I have to scrap and what new things I need to spend 40 hours of my life grinding for so I can be viable for the next 3 months. But something I think is severely overlooked, and your video helps prove my point in this matter, is that she is a MUSIC frame and a lot of people who complain about cheese don't even try to make music. In all the Octavia footage you have displayed so far your "rhythm" is just note spam. It's the most boring static white noise you could possibly make for some absurd idea of "muh optimal gameplay" and I frankly despise it. You call her boring while not even attempting to engage with what makes her fun and wonder why you start to yawn, it's like someone just sliding their hands along the piano keys and proclaiming that piano music is boring and uninspired. The challenge is in creating three tracks of music that are at least passable on their own while blending together to create something actually enjoyable to listen to. You get to quite literally turn combat into a dance where you set the rhythm that you are rewarded for memorizing so that you never miss a single key as you slay hordes of enemies with each death sound effect adding to the music you've blended, a unique sound that you create and that dictates the entire way you play. The best part is Octavia is still great when you play her for fun! you don't need to fill in every beat of your mallet to get good damage or to activate your buffs. A full song only lasts 8 seconds, which is frankly criminal and I should be allowed to extend it much further, but even with just the shitty mods I have sitting around my buffs last 18 seconds. That is over 2 full song rotations to re-up my buffs before they drop, I could have 4 notes a song and *still* get perma buffs if I know my beat well enough but for some reason people are obsessed with playing a frame based around player creativity and playing them in the most mindless bland way imaginable and wondering why they aren't having any fun. If you are just sitting there staring into empty space at a rave and you come out without having had any fun, it's not the fault of the DJ, Octavia is as interactive as you make her. Addressing the idea that she makes the game too easy, I agree to some extent, her infinitely scaling damage means I don't need to burn hours of my life mindlessly grinding for that uber mega-meta weapon just so I can go and do the new shiny mission. Instead, I can skip right to where the fun is because let's all be frank for just a minute, meta in Warframe is the same as broken. The insane power scaling of new content necessitates that you bring equally power-scaled gear and when the enemies get so strong they apparently 1-shot a majority of frames and the devs introduce shield-gating (pre-release OSP for any of my ROR2 players, we are basically in shaped-glass meta again) you need equally busted equipment to deal with them. What Octavia brings to the table in this regard is the ability to skip grinding or at the least severely reduce the amount of grinding you need to do and I think that more so than anything else is what really makes people dislike her. A huge majority of Warframe content is just grinding to get better gear to grind a higher level thing to continue the cycle, it just is and that's ok to acknowledge. The people who really love Warframe love that grind, they have to, so when a Warframe is made that completely circumvents that grind its natural people won't like her because she is built to explicitly avoid what they enjoy doing. I for one hate endless grinding. I love the world that Warframe is in and everything is built to look cool and flashy, but the gameplay itself just isn't that deep to me, it's why I can only play in 2-3 month bursts every 1-3 years. Octavia cuts out a lot of the time commitment needed for someone who plays casually or who has a busy life to enjoy the story-based content that Warframe has to offer while giving them a way to create a unique playstyle that suits them while almost guaranteeing viability.
Whenever I have an Octavia join my team, I just know the left-hand side of my HP bar is soon going to be spammed with so many icons, it’ll quickly form a second row.
I think it's good Octavia exists as she is. She is the accessibility option frame. If you don't have the dexterity or whatever to actually "play warframe", she exists.
Her Mallet, Roller, and Metronome can all be combined into 1 skill with 3 stages. By that I mean, since all skills have 3 "stages" as we level up frames, at max level the skill would simply deploy all 3 aspects of the skills together. I never quite understood why her 1, 2, & 3 were separate. Her ult can stay I guess and this creates room for two more skills, one possibly being a new ult while changing the current one to her 2 or 3. When she was announced, I did hope she would use instruments as weapons. Piano wires to slice at enemeies for example, but I suppose that would be too similar to Khora or Valkyr at this point.
Imagine giving her an exalted electric guitar, playing 2 notes combined give buffs (sort of like dante) and you can bonk enemies with it. But i digress. Anyone that find her lame and boring just play her passivly like i did in the past, like an ash with a really good bladestorm, but she is actually quite fun when you start playing her like a normal warframe, shooting and melee enemies. That crouch spam was allways anoying but i had a crouch macro from back in the day when maiming strike was a thing and this changes a lot, one button press, back to sneaky mode...embracr the cheese, i love swiss army knives:)
@@Katastr0phic_Katicorn the annoying music the clearing huge areas making your presence almost pointless, the fact that they just hide in a corner, and that they die a lot
One alternative idea for an octavia rework I'd be tempted to note is... add a bit to the "Weapons Platform" style, while taking some cues from rhythm shooters like BPM (Bullets Per Minute). Have it that things like her attack speed/fire-rate and reload speed can affect her music or what exactly you can put into her songs, and she could get passive-ish abilities that so long as she's keeping on whatever beat she set for herself she gets bonuses.
Octavia was my starting Warframe, as in she was the one who I received from my friend for starting Warframe. Oddly enough, her 'problems' stated here were actually the reasons I enjoy her the most. She is such a jack of all trades frame that I can bring her where ever and enjoy the content without concerning "what do I need to chance to keep myself relevant" through the session. So, even when her prime version came out, I just couldn't let go of the original Octavia I had since day 1 boasting a 53% use rate on my account even on... MR24 ish. I guess people will consider her "no risk" aspect to be boring as hell, but I guess it's thanks to that "no risk" factor that I can appreciate how she looks and plays out. It's genuinely interesting to say that it's exactly her current state that I was able to enjoy Warframe as any other frame just fell boring for me I genuinely agree on her 1 and 2 needing to be combined, but I genuinely want her to stay like this as she allowed me to enjoy Warframe.
The video is mostly hate bc Octavia outplays their "play style" Octavia is not as easy as they think, you really need time to master her unlike what people think, I still use her for solo missions! not boring at all
@@slayer7003 bro what? Is it that hard to press three buttons and then just pay attention to keep reseting the invis? You cant really be saying that octavia couldnt be played by a kid
@@TOBY-jy7bz What i always find weird with this argument is: tell me a warframe that isn't like that. - Equinox: You activate your 3 and 4 and pop it every now, maybe use your 2 or subsume it for armor strip - Baruuk: press 3 and 1 until meter full then go for 4 and just press your abilities now and then. - Harrow: always have 2 & 3 active, use 4 when neccessary and spam 1. When you break any warframe down to its basic its always: press 3 / 4 buttons then watch out for one stat.
Octavia is strong and i can play decently well with her kit, but the last thing i want to do when i come home from work is play the moonlight sonata with only L ctrl, W, Space, E and M1.
Exalted Mandachord Armblade Tonfas Beat Saber Gameplay when DE Like you could mix up heavy attacks, light attacks, jump attacks, slide attacks like the percussion, bass and melody She's a music maestro, so I assume she can just animation-cancel to do any note anytime You literally have a screaming solution there turn the Mandachord into an exalted kronen prime but playing it like a piano
You can't really argue "Revenant has to roll for a second, so it's not comparable, Octavia is set and forget" when Octavia has to spam crouch 24/7. They're both cheeseframe playstyles, but I'd argue Revenant's even more guilty of this.
Metronome could have an indicator similar to Gauss, placed somewhere on the bottom left of the screen (and so other players can see it as well) . In that way, the buffs and timing of them can be more easily read.
Octavia is fine as she is. She's not my most used frame, but neither is she my least used. She's in the middle for me since she is pretty easy to use once you're used to her. If you find her boring or don't like her because of her playstyle, then just don't use her. I rarely just press all her abilities and sit in a corner until I need to refresh them. Especially with how annoying the reworked eximus are. If you don't pay attention to your surroundings she'll still go down regardless of her abilities being active.
Octavia is my favorite warframe, but not because of her gameplay (sadly), just because of her music theme. At the same time that's the reason she isn't my most played warframe.

going even further a streak or style system which made the minigame harder the better you did making the mini game harder but giving better and better rewards could make her a high skillcap frame. especially if the style meter is combined with how well her ability are doing (how much do you miss your crouches, how much of mallets uptime is wasted with no one or few enemies shooting it, how often is amp buffing teammates or other ability, roller does matter and is dog shit if their is a rework this ability should be completely changed)
High skill octavia could be constantly repotstioning buffing teammates with amp while mallet takes in fire and as they go to the heart of action and use their ability well they get stronger and the ability get cheaper so they can continue (similar to how good saryns can keep toxin # high and never let it die)
low skill is still possible, but a little worse, with set to forget and as they uses their skills poorly their ability get worse and they use them less frequently removing the set forget and do nothing (which is why set to forget and invis is bad it leads to near afk to full on afk)
I think nerfs esp in warframe are almost never the answer this is a community which is built around optimization and min maxing if we can raise the skill cealing a lot lower the skill floor a little it would make her more dynamic and still remove her negatives. if you think this playstyle couldn't work for octavia and or does fit her current kit see how she is played in void cascade with consent repostioning having to understand map control and having to understand how to get the most out of mallet and amp to buff the team buff the mallet and not waste upkeep. this is when she the most fun and going more into that seems like the right move to me.
(or DE could be lazy give a buff to ability strength and range and make them decay so you cant just set and forget but this would not be fun at all and ruin her for me and I think most players while being more "balanced")
I replace the roller with Nourish
@@dixon137same p much the while reason i got grendle after getting the prime it sucks but it needs to be changed so it doesnt hurt you by using it
I came back from a 5 year break to find all my arsenal dead cause of power creep, Octavia saved my account and is my main for now
from what I've heard she practically the gameplay equivalent of a "Mary sue" character tho that my opinion at least
me when i steel path with unranked weapons and -strenght octavia prime
if you really think about it, octavia being able to go invisible makes sense if you know how DJs at EDM concerts get drowned out by the stage design
Octavia's limitation is how long your fingers will last with how much you gotta teabag while using her.
just a comment a few min in, shes basically a boombox, but the mixtape you put in kills all the enemies who hear it, and buffs teammates who hear it, as long as they bob their head on beat.
I would love to see a video like this for Titania
usual musical character: use instrument
octavia: Sound Board!
The mandachord is basically the synthesizer and her abilities are the speakers with her 4 being the amp
How to prevent Octavia from making Warframe boring:
Step 1: Pick any other Warframe.
There is no step 2.
Also, you can make max damage/note songs that aren’t just straight 16th-note spam
How Harrow changed religion
I want her to have a dubstep gun for an exalted
@@cantreadyourname9505 The music seems like the best part and then I realized *platinum.* I'll get it one day though
I’ve been farming her because I like music, maybe I shouldn’t get her.
if you like music you'd like her, she's actually quite fun
People complain Octavia made Warframe too easy, but they gravitate towards Wisp and used to gravitate towards Wukong, pretty funny if you ask me.
Pov showing people how to move it move it.
Octavia should be able to deal dmg when playing the Shawzin.
Also, forgot to add that, when she is playing the Shawzin, she can play her drums
If u have amazon prime, right now the normal varient is free through prime gaming for this year if anyone is interested.
As a Octavia main Ngl I’m surprised she hasn’t been nerfed
*Octavia boring, cheese all*
What I see everytime I go farming : people staying still, cage chains, spores, cage chains, spores
Still learning to play her properly, but so far so good and I don`t even mind watching the enemy dropping dead at all 😁
Make the pink part of the music to always have a tone playing so you can always have the buffs activate
Even tho this will sound bad
The base and drum dosent really matter

Its really relaxing
I can play longer due to not tired that much
Not tired at all even using octavia
Let’s not forget the raves me and the boys be having in Helene
I will always remember a good quote, never remember who from but know it was passed around a lot, "players will optimize the fun, out of everything."
And i have noticed, when optimization takes precidence they don't drop it.
How is your Warframe return going??
@@CandysChannel really great actually!
I've played through devuri and deimos and was genuinely surprised by 1) how much better the game looks and 2) all the new systems in place.
I'm holding back the temptation to finish all the story quests just to catch up on all the new systems (argon shards, steel path, galvanised mods, kuva weapons etc.) Mostly spending time with farming primes of frames I've completely missed while away. Going through them in release order so I'm ready for rotations 🤣
Currently completed Revenant, Khora, Baruuk- and now farming for Hildryn Prime.
@@UpstageBeast That’s great! I just started on February 20 on my iPad Pro so I’m still very much newbie. I am only MR 5 now. I am building Hildryn Prime right now! I have never played her at all, so I’m excited!
Fun fact, NSR released on the same day as Heart Of Deimos.
I funking love the no straight roads music and mention in da vid. WWWWWWW
I use Octavia for Thermia Fractures. Makes it easy and it’s a passive process. I bought Octavia when I just started playing after I was super fascinated with the mandachord and those songs people made. I played with her for a while, but got boring very quickly. Good for finishing eventually missions passively.
So as an audio engineer and music producer I can't explain what the mandachord is, or at least what it's similar to in real space:
So, the mandichordis is less of an instrument and more of a tool.
So she seems to be more of a producer, like deadmau5, or even a DJ like Tiesto or David Guetta, so summoning the mandachord would look and feel kinda boring, you'd just have a box in front of you with 16ish little square pads on it and some nops, seeing her tapping away, or in warframes case a really fancy box with little circular pads on it lol
octavia is my most used frame, only change i did is remove the roomba for Nourish from grendel
For me Octavia is good for solo gamer to higher rank of level cause more on she is more on endurance type
dont you dare touch my god damn frame .
I still want a good build for her. I love her. She's one of my 4 main gals.

I like the feature to make music, I like showing off my musical talents
Skip the middle two paragraphs if you don't want my personal rant.)
I'm MR 10, I've had the game since 2015 and have taken multiple year+ breaks from it before coming back and messing around for a bit.
I have my song set to baby shark and it’s so funny to hear it playing.
10:32 you really uh... didn't record any more b-roll of octavia dancing than just this one animation?
That crouch spam was allways anoying but i had a crouch macro from back in the day when maiming strike was a thing and this changes a lot, one button press, back to sneaky mode...embracr the cheese, i love swiss army knives:)
loving that fashion, what palettes are you using?
I hate Octavia if I join a pub with one I just exit and try again, she takes all the fun out for everyone else in the squad
I have never encountered the joy of the game being taken away by any frame. Why is it so unenjoyable for you?
@@Katastr0phic_Katicorn the annoying music the clearing huge areas making your presence almost pointless, the fact that they just hide in a corner, and that they die a lot
Me, an 99% Octavia playtime : hey
One alternative idea for an octavia rework I'd be tempted to note is... add a bit to the "Weapons Platform" style, while taking some cues from rhythm shooters like BPM (Bullets Per Minute).
Have it that things like her attack speed/fire-rate and reload speed can affect her music or what exactly you can put into her songs, and she could get passive-ish abilities that so long as she's keeping on whatever beat she set for herself she gets bonuses.
How Grendel ate the helminth
It's genuinely interesting to say that it's exactly her current state that I was able to enjoy Warframe as any other frame just fell boring for me
I genuinely agree on her 1 and 2 needing to be combined, but I genuinely want her to stay like this as she allowed me to enjoy Warframe.
I also like her power. I can bring her to sp and use weaker weapons without concerning
this dude is just a meta slave i wouldn't watch any more of his videos.
The video is mostly hate bc Octavia outplays their "play style" Octavia is not as easy as they think, you really need time to master her unlike what people think, I still use her for solo missions! not boring at all

You can't really argue "Revenant has to roll for a second, so it's not comparable, Octavia is set and forget" when Octavia has to spam crouch 24/7. They're both cheeseframe playstyles, but I'd argue Revenant's even more guilty of this.
How Wisp is an Asset to DE
I have joint pain in my fingers whenever I play her for too long xD
I'm not a grinder I want to play and dominate.
Metronome could have an indicator similar to Gauss, placed somewhere on the bottom left of the screen (and so other players can see it as well) . In that way, the buffs and timing of them can be more easily read.
Damn, now I really want to play NSR.
She doesn't have an instrument, she has a boom-box duel disk
So... Wisp, Octavia , hyldren and chroma boosting each other.. holy that'll be op
