    Still remember seeing this on Nat Geo Australia. Eventually Singapore got the M-16S1 before replacing them with the SAR-21.

    Nothing like the sound of an A-10 warthog. Unless you're on the receiving end. Then that Bbnrrrttttt is your call from St. Peter...

    That rip from the A-10 must be terrifying for the enemy. It's such a short burst but lays down a devastating amount of 20mm projectiles at absolutely lethal speed.

    • @Predator42ID
      @Predator42ID 10 дней назад +3

      The enemy wouldn't hear it as the rounds hit them unless they survive then yeah. Also it's a 30mm GAU-8 Cannon with 1200 rounds stored. The A-10 uses a combination of DU and HE munitions. The Arabs dubbed the A-10 the Devil's cross.

      @Predator42ID my bad, I was thinking of something else. But still, even if they survived I bet they'd be running pretty fast 😂

    I read a lot of Vietnam memoirs books
    In one of them they called the M16 shitty shitty bang jam after chitty chitty bang bang the film
    I don't know why I have never heard that more often because it's the perfect name for the early M16

    on minute 15 of the video when proving the machine gun can cut down a fully grown tree. I see that the tree had been already pre_cut by chainsaw.

      Plus, they went for a top heavy pine, already leaning over. They kept the cut hidden as well. If you're going to cheat at least have the self respect to put some effort into it.

    This Documentary gets points for originality but not very good for accuracy. Most notable is the Maxim gun. Firstly the Brit used it incorrectly and was using his training based on air-cooled machine guns. Thanks to the water jacket of the Maxim gun, all he had to do was hold the trigger for constant fire.
    Next, no, not one machine gun of today used anything related to Maxim's design. The barrel coming back before stopping causing the breach block to disengage and eject and reload wasn't a Maxim patent or design feature.
    In fact, in no way shape or form is the M2 Browning related to Maxim in the least, in fact, Maxim himself sued said inventor, only to lose.
    The Maxim gun uses a toggle lock mechanism to fire automatically. This Toggle lock is found on the C93 and the more famous P-08 Luger pistols.
    The M2 Browning uses a short recoil system, this system was patented and used in several of Browning's guns and is bar none the most common system around as it's used in nearly every single modern handgun.
    John Moses Browning, a Mormon, with 128 firearm patents, created many firsts and improved many others. This man single handily revolutionized modern arms as we know them today and was sued by Maxim and another German inventor, both lost.
    While Maxims are good, the army after three test comparisons had to relent to the fact Browning's M1917 was a better design overall.

    Problem with the m-16 was it would jam and get clogged up! Plus, it fed up n' to the right in each round fired! 😢 It was part of the U.S.'s undoing in Viet-Phukin'-Nam man!!!😂😮😢

    • @Predator42ID
      @Predator42ID 16 дней назад +1

      M-16 jamming came from two things and two things only. First the Army as a cost-saving measuring used the wrong powder in the ammo that the gun wasn't designed for. Second, no cleaning kits were issued or taught on how to maintain the M-16.
      As for clogging, the M-16 and its later successors have all proven to be just as reliable and robust as the AK platform. AK is just easier to maintain.

    If I see nothing wrong with this video, am part of the problem. Weapons of war just benefit military industrial complex. Their children dont fight in wars. Its poor people who fight and die for them. A humongous amount of money on war machines. Yet no money for schools, hospitals and social amenities that can really help humanity. Profits in gold, losses in blood. In this game of thrones, where do you stand personally?

    • @Predator42ID
      @Predator42ID 16 дней назад

      Okay, firstly that is a myth that has been proven wrong time and again. Many kings, presidents, nobles, and rich folk have fought and died in war. Drafts don't discriminate.
      Also, schools, hospitals, and social amenities have profited greatly from wartime development.
      Canned food, microwaves, advancements in aircraft, cars, computers, radios, medical tech. Half of everything people use today is a direct result of war. Why because necessity is the mother of invention. War promotes survival, survival promotes desperation, and desperation promotes innovation.
      For all the crap people like yourself say about war profiteering, fun fact, companies like Walmart, Amazon, and soda brands, make more money than the entire military and arms company combined.
      Then whenever Europe gets in trouble or complains about the US military-industrial complex, they always pull out their wallets begging for US weapons when they get attacked and that is how the US now owns half of the world's arms market.
      Guns don't promote war, it's the person who does.
