I know this is a little late. But, to anyone who wants to Nuzlocke this game or Renegade Platinum. Weather has a chance to make the ai chose what is the most effective move (as if weather doesn’t hurt the damage dealt) or a random move. For example against. Yeti I used a Ninetails with drought (a similar thing with the water gym) the abomasnow would use blizzard every once in a while. Even though it is 50% accurate in the sun. And It hit a surprising amount of Blizzards but, still. Even in trainer battles using weather seems to screw up the ai. I even did a double battle with a set of swimmers. All the Slowbro did was spam rain dance as it didn’t understand that Peliper already set up the rain with drizzle. Also the Ai also messes up against substitutes. The Ai will either act like the substitute isn’t there or it will click a random move. That fact is how I dealt with a number of toxic Umbreons, status spreaders, ect. Having the Ai going for wil o wisp or toxic over and over on a sub is a good way to set up for your team. Aipom, tokepi, and torchic are all Pokémon that can learn set up+ sub+ batton pass by level up. And you can do interesting strata depending on how early you get them. Be sure you check the documentation or watch when you let them evolve.

I have to disagree there. For me at least, this was the most infuriating and unenjoyable pokemon challenge on SmallAnt's VOD channel (as of 12/2/2022); in fact, it's the only one where I can't even bring myself to watch the whole thing. Why? On the light side, SmallAnt's "I will never sandbag" personality (which I actually do respect in most cases) resulted in really long planning sessions that sharply lessened the potential for mistakes, even though having an actual risk of losing---and seeing them struggle to make it out of mistakes--is a big part of what makes most youtuber nuzlockes entertaining. But more importantly, the incredibly boring shiny hunting that was against the spirit of the challenge, all the condescension and jerkassery to the chatters (literally tells a chatter to "go touch grass" at one point) who pointed that out or otherwise posted some of these same complaints (and others), and of course SmallAnt's incessant OUTRIGHT LIES about his previous nuzlock experience (first saying he'd done none, then saying just sword and shield only after seeing chat remembered it in spite of it not being on the VODs channel, even though in reality he ALSO has nuzlocked a modified version of red before (the video on his channel, which is still up, is called "Pokemon red but the trainers are social distancing"---he used to have the VODs for that challenge on his VOD channel, and then those vods (and ONLY those vods) vanished RIGHT before he started this challenge, leaving me really, really skeptical that he actually just "forgot" about his previous nuzlocke experience: especially since he kept saying so after the few vanishing times someone in chat remembered that challenge, which he didn't acknowledge)).
