Yeah, I think so too. Still, I think when we're all chip implanted, people will be charged w/ things they wreck and then won't even be able to get into the stores because the store will know who they are. I love this technology. Here in the USA, you can hardly find assistance in the stores anyway. Might as well just use robots everywhere.

I think that Amazon Go stores are supposed to be unmanned, just like the store in your video? But since they’re also a good place to return items from Amazon, there are usually 1-2 employees around to help with those returns. And they always have to explain how the glass gates work and they have to tell people it’s OK to just walk out with what they picked up.

I prefer to have friendly cashiers and not fancy machinery any day if I have to pay extra. Should take like 2 people to man that small ass store too and there is already one at the entracr. Thirdly, makes it less convenient. @@LetsBeCivilShallWe There are 37 more stores on their way. There are also automated 'convenience' vending machines that are in crowded locations like colleges and airports.
I'm replying to your first reply cause you automatically assumed like many others that these automatic stores can't exist because all people are criminals, clearly they exist and are working out well. If people do steal or destroy these stores then they deserve jail.

Love your POV style content, especially with such things (for example, this shop that you have just visited) that I wouldn't really want to try IRL (In this case, I don't like the security cameras, facial recognition etc. that the shop uses to keep track of the buyers' choices. Would much rather use a barcode reader for every product.)

Supermarkets also use facial recognition. It's been used a while firstly for advertising to see where your eyes are looking at which products, etc, now for facial ID. Conventional supermarkets keep track of what you are buying both with this, and as you use your cash card or purchase online ❤ it's no different to purchasing with a person and is the future in the UK with self service and scan as you go x

@@DoubleDTVx2 well, firstly the normalization of scanning your cards. We are being turned into humans that have no personal interaction. Someone could use a job as a clerk. The way this is done is really creepy. You need to download the cheers app and include your visa info. In the shop the AI uses facial software recognition to id you creating a virtual shopping cart. Going past the entry gate is the check out button. It is also programmed to do one other thing, if you eat something and then return the empty container to the shelf so as not to pay you will be banned from entering the place on your next visit.
