The Chiefs but 38 on them in the AFC Championship game in 2020, 42 in 2021, Burrow put 27 in 2022 (could have been 40+ if the Bengals didn’t take their foot off the gas) and yesterday gave up 27 when the Chiefs had the ball for only 23 MINUTES! What an embarrassment. When the Bengals went to the SB, they only allowed 21 points to Mahomes in the AFC Championship game.

    Chiefs caught a Bills team with a completed depleted D. Just a reminder, the Bills starting middle linebacker, the guy coving Kelsey, was on vacation with his family in an RV two weeks ago before being called up to the practice squad to play. Thats how bad it was. And they still almost won. The Bills have to get healthy.

      Miami's defense in the season finale against the Bills did NOT have "way more injuries" than the Bills defense did when comparing the opening day rosters. The difference is that the Bills' "starting defense" by the last game of the season had just as many back-up "second string" (and lower) players as did Miami ... BUT the Bills had suffered massive defensive injuries much earlier in the season (All-Pros Tre White and Matt Milano), and then steadily throughout the continuing season such that, by the season finale, the Bills' second and third string players had been nominal "starters" for at least a few weeks ... whereas Miami padded their record early in the season while most of their defense remained healthy. It was only AT THE END of the season that Miami's "true" STARTING defense had the wheels fall off with multiple late season lengthy injuries. But to pretend that the Bills "starting" defense in the season finale at Miami was its TRUE "starting" defense is simply FALSE and disingenuous. @@robertogutierrez2897

    The help Josh Allen really needs is a defense that can stop someone. Bills didn't force a punt until the 4th quarter and KC was averaging over 9 yards a play. Josh Allen had ZERO % to do with losing the KC game last night. He protected the ball, had zero turnovers, and scored all 3 Bills TDs (1 passing, 2 running [the second running TD was a beautiful, determined plow into the end zone] that not every QB can make). He also hit Diggs perfectly in the hands on a bomb with Diggs having to beat only single coverage. As we know, Diggs FAILED TO DO HIS SINGULAR JOB for which he was brought to Buffalo and paid quite well: catch the d@mn ball -- especially when it's perfectly on the money and you don't have to exert any particular additional effort other than simply catching the ball!!! BTW, I also have notes for Trayvon and Steffon Diggs: from now on Trayvon, keep your big mouth shut with all your BS about Josh Allen being "nothing" without Stefon Diggs ... and from now on Stefon, I NEVER want to see you throwing any ridiculous tantrums or otherwise "show up" your QB on the sidelines and/or on national TV. It was obvious that the Bills’ game plan was so run-heavy because (with our D being so banged up) they knew the Chiefs would do exactly what they did: go up and down the field at will. And so we were basically trying to play keep-away from the Chiefs’ O.
    With that mind, that is why Josh’s passing stats were so low - but would have been much better had his receivers not dropped 4 perfectly thrown passes (Diggs’ being the biggest).

      I think shakir is turning into that guy. Last 8 or 9 games and playoffs he had the highest reception percentage in the entire NFL, catching over 90% of targets. Plus keeping plays alive on numerous occasions in big moments. He’s really come into his own. Add in Kincaid and Cook (when he doesn’t drop TDs), they’ve got a good young core. They need some speed and size to go opposite Diggs and someone (maybe the same person) to ultimately replace him as the receiver who can separate and make plays at all levels. Would’ve loved to see someone like Puca in this offense.

All QBs of the past, who grew to be better RBs than passers, have fallen to the side.

    Media people are just ridiculous. This loss was vintage Josh Allen. With 2 minutes and 2 timeouts left and the Bills on the Chiefs 26 yard line, Josh Allen switches into STUPID MODE. Why is he throwing 35 yard Hail Mary's into the end zone? Was his plan to get a TD as quick as possible so Mahomes has a full 2 minutes to go back down the field? What he should be doing was throwing short high percentage passes underneath to try and get 1st downs and run down the clock. The problem is not that the Bills rely on Allen to go into hero mode. The problem is that is the only mode Josh Allen knows. He is making all these bad decisions, not his teammates. You media folks need to stop licking Allen's boots.

      He needs/deserves the same amount of talent Mahomes has surrounding him -- which he does NOT have. Don't forget that the Bills-Chiefs game was DEAD EVEN last night (at least score-wise) and boiled down to a missed FG -- just as the Bills' win in Arrowhead during the regular season was by 3 points. The teams are basically even, so do NOT pretend that the Chiefs "blew out" the Bills. HOWEVER, the quality of the talent Mahomes has surrounding him is objectively better than what Allen has surrounding him.
      a) KC's Pacheco and Buffalo's Cook MIGHT cancel each other out in terms of which team has the advantage at RB;
      b) KC's defense is every bit as good as -- and much younger than -- Buffalo's defense; so neither team holds an advantage when it comes to this consideration;
      c) KC's Travis Kelce -- even though he's ageing -- is still the best TE in the game ... and is still superior to either Buffalo's oft-injured TE Dawson Knox or the "nominal TE" Dalton Kincaid -- although within 2 years (if he remains healthy) I do expect Buffalo's Kincaid to be on par with however good KC's Kelce ever was. But rookie Kincaid is still NOT YET "better than" Kelce (plus Kincaid really isn't a pure TE -- he's a hybrid slot receiver TE -- so Mahomes enjoys the TE advantage.
      d) KC's Rice is every bit as good as Buffalo's Diggs at WR -- arguably better, and certainly younger and faster (and of late more sure-handed). Accordingly, Mahomes now enjoys the WR advantage over Allen (not to mention the fact that Allen never had the advantage with Diggs at his best over Mahomes with Tyreek Hill).
      e) KC's FG kicker is absolutely clutch and automatic $$$ (which has bailed Mahomes out several times) ... by comparison, Buffalo's Tyler Bass has backslid terribly this season, and is anything BUT "clutch" -- which is exactly what produced the point differential in last night's game. HUGE advantage to Mahomes.
      If Allen and Mahomes were on switched teams, Allen would ALREADY have 3 SB rings and would be seeking his 4th during these playoffs.

    Gawd...these guys are clueless. Diggs shoulda caught it? How about when Diggs was wide open on that last drive and the Flopper threw it in the end zone instead? Not even a good pass. Didn't even get to the receiver. Allen was 26 of 39 for 186 yards!!! The offense only scored 7 points in the 2nd half. The only people who believe this dribble are Bills fans. They love Josh Allen and guess what...they continue to lose. Stop blaming the kicker. Stop blaming the coach. (Although the coach did call that bonehead fake punt.) Stop blaming the defense. (They held Mahomes and KC to only 27 points!) Man, if your QB is supposed to be so great, you gotta score more than 27 points. But guess what? Your QB ain't so great. He choked on several open receivers on critical drives in the 2nd half. He fumbled the ball when he got popped. ( I'm surprised the refs didn't throw a flag for unnecessary roughness on that play because they are always protecting The Flopper.) Stop making excuses for Josh Allen. He'd make a good running back, but he's a mediocre QB at best.

We need to start getting a legit 2nd threat and Davis isn't that guy. Shakir could be him - but he was so heavily underused until too late. He may need to come in next season as a primary WR. Regardless, we need to get more talent there. Kincaid is a fantastic prospect as well but a proper massive threat at WR is crucial as Diggs starts to drop off. But I was saying before this season that the Bills weren't good enough and needed to start a mini-rebuild to ensure that they could create a team that was truly capable of winning a Super Bowl while Allen was still a top QB. The only way this current version would have any chance of winning a SB would be for the stars to align just right, but that rarely happens in the NFL. Talent-wise and coaching-wise, this team simply isn't good enough, and we now have enough evidence to prove that. Hopefully Beane won't be bringing in more Panthers rejects this offseason, and will instead address problems as best he can (don't forget the salary cap).

    More support? Why would this God send from another planet who is on the same level as Jesus need more support? Seriously, Josh Allen is the quintessential example of "blame everyone but him." Without Diggs, Josh Allen is rookie Josh Allen. Even in this down year, Diggs is 7th in receptions and 13th in yards. Gabe Davis, everyone shits on Gabe Davis. But he it consistently being made to run long routes that aren't always easy to catch. Davis ranked 4th in ybc/r, yards before catch per reception, at 12.8 yards, meaning he catches the ball at 12.8 yards before even running for more. For his career he's averaging 16.7 yards per reception which would be top ten every year. Running backs, James Cook got 1200 yards and 4.7 yards per rush. Last season, the Bills running backs (this is not including Allen) averaged 4.87 yards per rush which was second only to the Ravens running backs. The O-line... Josh Allen has this habit of taking these 8-12 step dropbacks, even in shotgun, that puts him so far back behind the line of scrimmage that it's nearly impossible to create a pocket of protection for Allen unless all the lineman also drop back 8-12 steps. It's like punt protecting every time Allen drops back so far. The Bills defense ranked #1, #2, and even "decimated" with injuries #4 in scoring these last three seasons. Only SF and Baltimore come close, but they didn't have a top five defense for three years in a row. If Josh Allen needs any more support, it's pretty much asking for an all pro bowl team, and if a QB needs all that help, is he really that good to begin with?

    Who lead the team in rushing in this game? JA right?
    JA made mistakes, but I don't see any picks or pick sixes.
    At some point, others have to do more.
    My Steelers would kill for JA, but we have WRs and offensive pieces.
    Cook is not a starting RB, he let JA out rush him.
    Diggs is washed. Allen was almost all the offense.
    The team has to put all this off-season into offense.
    This WR is special. The Bills have to come away with at least 2 new WRs.
    For RB, how about Derrick Henry for a good deal.
    Every pick this year has to O-line and WR.
    Also, Lamar has only been good this year once he got WR pieces.
    Mahomes still had Kelce and some decent WRs last year.
    JA needs help. Football is still a team sport.

      It might be a head coach/offensive coordinator issue, but a ton of Allen's passes were behind the line of scrimmage, which is why the Mahomes led offense had almost the same amount of total yardage and more points despite attempting 31 fewer plays and being on the field for 15 less minutes (a whole quarter less!). The Bill's run game was working, but it is tough to win with only a run game when there is a two time MVP/Superbowl champ lining up against you.

      It was obvious this was the game plan and it worked for most of the game.They had 2 to 1 time of possession.Allen took several deep shots of 50 + yards and the passes were perfect but all 3 dropped. This is what they're talking about with bringing in more talent around him.

    • @gsimon123
      @gsimon123 10 месяцев назад +8

      It's because all of those were dropped. Allen nailed those guys right in their hands repeatedly. Cook. Sherfield. Diggs. There is no period at the end of your statement. If the throw is good and the receiver drops it - that is not the QB fault. THAT... is the period.

      @@Hibbidyhaiwhat I always hate is that people hate on Josh Allen for not being a disciplined QB but in reality since Daboll left he’s had no one who really understands how to run an offense with Allen. As great as Mahomes is, are we gonna act like he’d be just as good with Joe Brady calling plays instead of Andy Reid? It helps having offensive gurus to maximize your talent instead of just asking Allen to literally win it all on his own

    offensive line/josh/kincaid/shakir were really the only bills worth a damn this game. the defense was atrocious, couldn't stop the run at all, zero pressure on PM. KC did whatever they wanted as usual vs these bills.

    With the amount of time left on the clock & the team they were playing, the Bills needed a touchdown over a field goal to win. Blame whoever you want but the Bills didn’t execute in order for that to happen. They were most likely going to lose even if Bass made a field goal. Everyone in the stadium knew that.

    S. Diggs & J. Allen lost that game not the FG kicker
    SD dropped ball that would've put them ahead w/ no field goal needed
    And Allen + OC who had absolutely no strategy w/ 1st & 10 at the 28 yrd line You want the TD as everyone does; but one throw should be conservative to pick up 6 to 10 yards, so your kicker can make that frigid FG under 39 yards out
