It actually does come in quite handy. It's only 4v, so it's not powerful at all. As long as the holes you're trying to screw into is pre-drilled, then it's fine. It's not required, it's recommended. Otherwise, once the battery is dead, you have to remove it and recharge the battery. During that time, the lock will have no battery power and will be unusable, with the exception of using the key. It takes many hours to fully charge these batteries.
I have configured access code for the lock and I am wondering if it will work without internet once installed? Chime won't be installed yet so just standard lock unlock using access code is required. Will it work without internet? It should if access code is stored in the lock. Thanks
I never tried it without the internet. Assuming the lock doesn't require internet access after setup, then I would think it would work. I would hope it would work without internet in case of home wide power loss. I'm currently out of the country, so I'm not able to test it. If it works, let us know.
Hi when i stand out side facing door my door handle on left side.when i done install done its say deadbolt is stuck.is i put key pad inside then its work any help.thamks
Sounds like it's a tight fit and the bolt is pressing against the door jam too much. My other electronic doorlock has the same issue. If I move the door a little, the door lock has no issue locking or unlocking, but if I just leave the door as-is, the door lock gets jammed against the door frame.
@@ceejay8265 that wasn't to fix it. Just to test if the door was pressing too hard against the door jam. Fixing it would entail adjusting the door hinges or enlarging the hole for the bolt or both.
Depends in the settings you select. Some settings will drain the battery faster than others. Mine lasted about 5 months before I decided to swap out the battery. It still had about 10% charge left.
The lock was installed mid-September and the battery is currently at 14%. That is with it set at optimal surveillance which eats up the most battery life. You'll get way more battery life out of it with balance surveillance or optimal battery life setting selected. I also have it set to detect 'all motion" at max distance, leave detection, auto lock, one-touch locking, scramble passcode turned on as well. So the way mine is currently set up, it's a battery hog. So almost 4 months now and it's still going. I should be able to get 4 1/2 months out of it before I must charge it again. If it helps any, I don't regret the purchase, unless some of the other things I have here. :)

So you have to buy extra battery replacment when is other battey empty
