Fimi TX10 Controller - In Flight Part 2

- The Fimi TX10 Controller in the bright sun. Performed very well.
It is so much easier to connect and get the drone in the air.
Great battery life and the build quality is exceptional.
Part 3 (for me) is a bit of a head scratcher. Does the TX10 have a Magnetometer? What does the Orientation diagram actually show? Is the screen really that bright compared to a Galaxy S9 Plus?
It will be more for Fimi, but any input would be welcome.
The TX10 feels great, looks great and performs very well. It does not have a huge capacity (16GB) but adequate for the job.

**See Part 3** for a further explanation of the video/photo button. It is basically a video/photo mode selector (long press) but whatever mode you are in, any click of either the video or photo button activates the mode (so you can click the video button in photo mode and take a picture, but not while the video is running).
Another great review. Can't thank you enough - what a time save watching your videos. And I did find them all (TY). I now have 2 of these Fimi 2022 drones and one TX10. Why? I use it for risky flights and if I lose a drone it only cost me $285 to replace it. My locations is on a lake and all the action is on the other side of it a fair distance away. And Yes, your recommended price of about $629 for the combined price of the TX10 remote and 2022 drone is obtainable as Banggood now today (08-24-2023) has the Fimi X8SE 2022 V2 for just $285. The TX10 remote is available on B&H for $329. What an amazing bargain for a stellar drone whether you get the TX10 remote or not! And I have 4 DJI drones but tend to use the Fimi most of the time as the remote is so bright and the range of the Fimi X8SE 2022 exceeds all of my DJI drones.
That is great. WHat DJI do you have. I am the same.. I rarely fly the DJI. I just find the Fimi (& Hubsan sometimes) just more exciting. I am waiting for Autel to come out with a more compact 1" and Hubsan to release their ACE 2 Pro Plus. & Fimi to redesign their flagship into a more portable option. I am also hopeful that the new camera on the Fimi X8 Pro will be available as an option to buy for the X8E. But the TX10 & X8SE are a killer combo for sure.
I have the Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro Zoom, Mavic Air and a couple of the earlier Phantoms and they are all terrific drones. But the range on the Fimi is simply amazing, perfrect for my use, and once was about 5 miles up the Lake Ontario shoreline. Coming back there was a slight wind, realized I'd never make it back, and once across a channel couldn't retrieve it, so I had to land it in the dunes of a beach. Ironically, I didn't know if it landed and stayed on the ground or if it tried to elevate to RTH. Gorrilla man I've done everything to bind controller to drone after updating its app..
I have 2 v2 models and it just won't bind iam not new to binding so I can't understand why it won't bind with the procedure

How does it work with waypoints, cand you go over 1km??, plus have you try the 4g to control the drone
SHort answer.. No. I have not tried planning a waypoints mission since the last updates and fimi have yet to develop the accompanying module for the craft. Unfortunately Fimi has left many followers in the dark and lost confidence in many as to what they claim possible.

No. I have a feeling that Fimi are working on an all rounded CineWhoop, FPPV, GPS with a 1" sensor. Maybe to rival the upcoming DJI one that has not been released yet.???
I sure hope they make this tx backwards compatible with the x8 SE 2018, 2020 and the mini. The original controllers are great but living here in hot Arizona with bright bright sunlight my phone goes dark very quickly. If that thing is 1000 nits I think it could compete with the bright daylight around here.
Unfortunately the TZ10 protocol is only for the Fimi Navi 2020 App. I don't even know if the 2020 will work. I know the 2018 won't.. or the x8 mini. But so far its a great unit.
@@GorillamansGarage well the x8 2020 and 2022 are both on that app so let's hope that at least they make the 2020 compatible with it. And since it runs android 9 I don't see why they can't make it compatible and able to download the earlier (2018) version of the x8 and the mini app. I assume its got wifi right?

@@aerialzona6003 I broke my stock 2020 fimi x8 se remote control so I have no options other then the factory one? I guess its only 100 usd but still I wanted to get something a little better then the factory remote.

Rated for 1,000.. it really is bright.
Since the purpose of these videos is to show the TX10, I suggest the FPV view should be the main part of the screen, with your other camera views as the PIP.
Good idea.. I'm trying to test out 4-5 external Mic's as well. The system so far (audio) is not great.
A Toy with a lcd rx controller. Fimi really make a joke to their customers. 😅😅 In Gps Mode, but it cannot maintence the position. 🤣
From a Historical point of view for a Fimi.. its one of the better pieces of kit they have developed. But it will be graded on its future potential for sure.
