I find that the illustrations for each story help to add atmosphere. It's remarkable that these are custom drawn!! Do you do them yourself? If so, that's awesome.

That snake looks like a ball python. They are beautiful, and not poisonous, although like most reptiles the bacteria living in their mouths could cause an infection if a bite isn't treated.
