Excellent review! I finally realize this Quest 3 vs Quest 3S is just a “half full-half empty” decision. No matter which one you buy you will enjoy VR and u will have to spend money on headstraps, lenses, facial interfaces, chargers, grips, etc….make a choice and enjoy the world of virtual reality!
@@vadnegru Pancakes are leagues better? Are you that sure? So why when i tried the Quest 3 i noticed two circles borders crossing each other close to my nose giving me disconfort? I actually found out that that my Oculus GO have a bigger FOV and its more confortable than Quest 3 which has pancake lenses!! In terms of image quality i played Assassins Creed 3D on Quest 3 and the battery didn´t last for the entire movie and i sweat a lot, i mean a lot from my forehead when i used the Quest 3 which i haven´t when i played my 3D movies on Quest 2 maybe because i used silicone facecover on Quest 2. People saying that original Quest 3 is miles better, it really isn´t, its just a matter of personal use for each on its own. Quest 3 is overall better ofc it is but its not that huge leap from Quest 2 in terms of image quality and confort, i found again the original Quest 3 quite unconfortable compared to my other two headsets but thats just my experience using the three headsets i owned.
@@3DModelsToys i tried to watch Avatar on Quest 2. I couldn't see much and sweat on lenses also wast helping. On another hand, Quest 3 with Bobovr s3 pro i could watch a movie with 2 or 3 breaks. And battery life is literally doubled. For some reason watching a movie inside a headset is still not a good experience for me and i would prefer projector, even if I don't get a 3D image. I know that my Quest 2 might be not the best unit, so is your Quest 3. It's very different experience unit to unit. I bought Q2 from eBay and shipped overseas, just the cheapest one i could. And with Q3 i bought one locally so i could return it in 14 days window. Only issue i see is orange glow on the edges and very little moir (dirty lenses) which only noticeable on max brightness with while starting at solid while fill which is never happening during regular usage. Still, i could see everything on the edges clearly. Also you can't deny huge sweet spot on Quest 3.

The 3S looks like a Oculus Go to me. In looks it come across as a step back. £299 for the 128gb still not cheap enough compared to the 3 512gb imo £299 256gb is were the 3S should be.
Apparently Meta are saying because they changed the chip the games will run with better resolution than the Quest 2 so what you saw was better image compared to the Quest 2 its not the exact same image even though they used the same stack and the internal resolution of games will be the same as the Quest 3 as they never use the true resolution of what the Quest 3 is actually capable of as I watch a Meta video about the Quest 3s

Even though the Quest 3 had a price drop, the 3s is still ideal for me because I'm not a hardcore VR user. I only spent maybe an hour or two playing games on it, and I was mainly looking to get a good upgrade from my Quest 2 such as better performance and mixed reality.
I squashed the rumor at 3:28, but TLDR no. No compatibility between the interfaces across platforms, though the headstraps look promising: ruclips.net/video/2MD_ePjmCOQ/видео.html
get quest 3, its a lot thinner, these things are already heavy and uncomfortable without bunch of 3rd party interfaces. you will end up spending bunch of money on 3rd party equipment and games anyway
What VR headsets should be or might come out before the quest 4? I currently have the quest 3 with the bobovr s3 pro and wanna know how long I should expect to wait for a potential upgrade.
2 years is pretty safe bet. Pico is the only one rival to meta headset and their Pico 4s is pretty much Quest 3 clone. HTC is still on enterprise thing. Only possible rival is Valve's Deckard but i highly doubt it would launch much sooner than the Quest 4.

Is there a difference between resolution between the Quest 3, 3S, and 2? Does the Quest 3S resolution seem similar if not identical to the Quest 2?
