I just landed my first stinkbug today over the coping! thanks so much for uplading this! helps out a lot!
This helped a lot thanks guys!
If you are going to do this, you most likely need to snap the tail for the ollie (unlike Vert where it's best to bonk w/ the back wheels [even though snapping the tail also works as well]).
if u snap ur tail, it’s really easy to pop into flat
@@DumpsterGremlins is that good or bad
@@garbage638 bad, unless you like falling 11 feet to flat. On a vert ramp like this you want to bonk your back wheels
@@Frontside_chill thanks for the tip, i still haven’t gotten the hang of it but ill keep trying
They looked so young, back then!
Ive been practicing on 4ft ramps for this what would you say should be the size of the ramp when you start doing airs honestly im starting to think that a ramp over five is best but I would like someone elses opinion?
Justin ............... i know this was a year ago but like at least double that size
That helped so much i landed my first stink bug on a mini ramp right after I finished the video
What year was this like 2000?
What's the brand of tony' elbow pads? This is looking thick, that's what i need for my old body!
mic hmd pro designed elbow pads
@@rik_rule thanx buddy
I'm trying to learn airs. I can almost backside air but I have trouble getting enough distance from the coping so that I don't hang up. Should I be trying frontside airs first or backside? I can do frontside kick turns pretty high up but I'm not as comfortable with those. Also I forgot to mention that I do nose grabs for my backsides
Definitely do backside you sound so much more comfortable with it already
Would love to hear how you’ve progressed.
@@graxjpg Well I can do airs now. I think I learned BS melons first and then I learned small FS indy grabs and tiny tiny lean airs. I haven't really gotten to skate much in the past 3 years however because I'm just too busy with college now.
@@aminto9448 that’s awesome! sorry to hear you don’t have time for skating. I took a lot of time off to do guitar professionally, but know that it’ll be there when life comes back around to it! It might be a harder depending on how much time you give it but it’s the best little wooden toy a guy could ever have.
1:51 ball grab gusture??
How old are these truck tip Tony and bucky look way younger
yay :D
Can some one help me with grabbing tuck knee? So uncomfortable
same, i can get a good height with stink bug but when it come to tuck knee i can't ollie properly for some reason
I love tony hawk lol he is the face of skateboarding a good leader
nice nice nice
they've uploaded this video like 30 times
Been stinkbugging for a while on my own now ima try n learn the tuck version now i know why they say i be stinkbuggin it up 😭
same, i'm tired of stinkbuging while airing frontside 😭
? A tips anyone?
@fundingfun Ya, after thinking about I realized I live in nebraska, so i would have to go to a whole other state to find a vert ramp. I take back my previous comment :)
Another thing on the fakie maneuver,if you take a 100 skaters,to or three can fakie that's good company...practice. Practice practice.
wow 1h and 260 views ???!??!
I’ve been trying so hard to grab around my leg straight away cuz I thought grabbing between my legs was improper.
It is improper haha, nothing looks worse than a stinkbug frontside air or boneless, those tricks nearly demand to have the knee tucked.
@@graxjpg yeah but at first stinkbug are the way to land some decent ones
@@wantmeX if you learn bonelesses on flat ground tucking your knee well, it’ll feel completely natural to tuck your knee in almost any situation
@@graxjpg yeah man exactly. Or even a simple flyout
You can actually hire a contractor to build one for you.
The second thing is you could buy a house like a grown up with a backyard.
If you don't have one, do what real boarders use to do back in the day. Build your OWN! If you wanna have the fun, you gotta put in the work. Props to my mate DJ from Deniliquin for the ramp he built for everyone back when I was in high-school in 1988. He could Ollie over 4 skate decks on top of each other. Damn, now I feel old. LOL.
Six years ago,is the date, doing a front side air is really step four on tricks you are learning,u should be able to cleanly and also have some speed control with your back side kick turns, front side kick turns and most importantly u should be able to fakie, why,I hate to fakie, but hear why it a tough thing to do that's why getting good at it is important when I was learning vert back in the early 20s,cough cough oh ,late 70s,fakie was a way really help your balance and mainly your stability on the board,if you can handle fakie when you just roll back and fourth and pump your way up to the top of the transition,ur probably not ready to doing airs, the big thing in doing vert is getting comfy with excactly where the curve of the ramp is all the time,so all u have to focus on is lifting off and where ur landing,oh yeah and turning too...hah hah,get comfortable with your transition,it has to be given you know it so well....hey everybody learns at different speeds just worry about your self focus on the force within, these are not the droids you are looking for....he can go about his business.THANKS,hey I'm old how did a regular front side air become stink bug....
no
2nd like
Plus the 40% of kids who have a haggard vert quarter at their park.
1st!
Bruh so ur telling me i wasnt suppose to pop for airs
Not on vert
Am I the only person here in 2023 dialing in on the stinker?
haha
me too . from Japan
If you say so big guy. Just try not to cry about it too much. The comment is a year old, after all.
when you got a job you don't have the time to build a vert ramp .
the second thing is that not everyone has the place to build a vert ramp
NosegrindProd. This comment is 6 years old but still, wdym? x) Of course nobody BUILDS his OWN vert ramp. Just go to a skatepark where there’s a vert ramp.
@@enterthevision2 That's more like a mini ramp, vert ramps are those huge 3-4m high ramps like the one in this video
@@enterthevision2 yees definitely!!
Then get a job and build one.
I am remembering stink bugs are attracted to white✌real ,no lies
what do u mean?
If this video is so useless why are you wasting your time here? Lurkers.
But its backside, not frontside... if you turned that orientation on flat you would call it backside, so it's totally nonsensical to call it frontside.
Nah, you are facing the coping/wall -> frontside. It originates from surfing where you face the wave, frontside means its in front of you backside means its behind you. Btw try this on flat, it's fs ollie motion. ;)
This video is useless for the 99% of people. Most kids just don't skate. I suppose it is sort of useful for people that do though.
this is the worst comment i've ever read
Idris Battou damn you’re a dumbass
Why the fuck are you here? Bucky or Tony must have taken your girl or something.
I wonder how many "informative" videos you've posted. How many people are you helping?
