Massive RIP to that legionnaire that somehow ended up dead in the sewers.
Interesting how he was probably one of the last sane legion members before ending up dead
@Alguem Random yeah it's weird isn't it? He clearly remembers the Greco-Roman mythos and all that in his notes.
@@Bersafor2 the last bull walked into hi's tomb of ghosts and cursed cloud.
His armor kept me alive for an extra 5 seconds or so. He was a real one 🙏
@@nukesrus2663 it was wasted on profligate like you
"A courier who rolled the dice, and lost it all." THAT LINE HITS SO MUCH HARDER THEN IT SHOULD
And next it's the courier 6's turn, fitting that his episode will be episode 6.
“Instead of following the flag of the bull the remaining survivors of Novac came to instead worship the all knowing god… Motel”
that made me laugh haha
100%. I had to stop watching long enough to see if someone had commented on that, because that's one of the funniest lines I've heard all week.
Year late but I always do love abit of humor when it comes to grimdark stories like this.
Didn't you use to be able to see Caesar's body in one of the previous versions of this mod? His skeleton enshrined in his tent as though it was the body of a god.
It was probably removed to emphasize the whole, reverted back to their tribal ways theme. They no longer remember Ceasar or what the flags at their bases actually mean.
Ya gotta hand it to Scott for consistently creating high quality fallout lore videos. I'm not sure wtf the algorithm is smoking rn but these videos deserve way more views, most fallout RUclipsrs do not put out videos this engaging and high effort
I tried this mod back when it first came out and thought: “nope too much pain for something pointless”
These videos have completely changed my skewed opinion. Thank you for sparking an interest in this mod for me, I’m gonna give it a go!
I feel like the one splinter group that kept their legion identity was the Legion group you find in Nipton.
I would have said "Too bad they completely forgot who they are" except it's good that the legion died.
I already loved the legion before this, but the fact that they became "fanatic" cannibals in an apocalypse AFTER the apocalypse is just epic and messed up...and also a bit horrifying if you ask me. Great lore.
Yes, more dust lore
Dunno if I missed the premiere or not, but being here 28 seconds after upload certainly does fit well with me. These vids have basically become like a weekly ritual for me. Keep it up man, absolutely adore your voice and presentation of the lore.
It's weird having DUST content pop up in my feed. I'm used to being on the fringe when it comes to DUST, and just enjoying it in silence. Seeing a video in this ShoddyCast style specifically about DUST still just blows my mind.
I've been binging all your lore videos on Fallout Dust and just wanted to commend you for the excellent videos you've made. Keep it up!
Epic. As usual
I. Love. This. Series.
another great entry to the series keep it up
Great video. It's honestly fascinating to see how great the fall of the Legion was. Being broken down and reduced to their old tribal ways after everything. Almost makes you pity them.
If I were to put down my expectations, I honestly wanna see the storyteller talk about individual stories of Mojave like they are fairytales or Aesops.
Like the story of the Courier from his eyes following his forced exile, or the story of the last Legionnaire finding his brother so reduced to a level that they can't even understand each other anymore, or the NCR outpost left abandoned and slowly craved out by tunnelers, raiders and hunger.
you're really balling with these videos Scott! every second is worth watching!
Caught up on this series over the past few days after discovering & watching your Dust analysis! Great content, Scott!
Happy I found myself here!
Hey, this was amazing content to watch during my lunch. Keep Up The Great Work!
Thank you for you content !!! I think about dust all the time now lol and gonna play it all night long
Awesome stuff. Well done.
Thanks so much for the lore videos, i am very fascinated by DUST lore and what ifs, but frankly i just suck too much at the mod. Keep up the good work!
I NEED MORE
OF THIS
this is a fantastic series
Yooo! I hope you read comments that are 3 days late, ‘cause here I go writing an essay. First, I have to confess that I’ve only just watched your initial video on Dust and you’ve won me over, so I’ll be spending the next few hours trying to get it to work (knowing me, you should replace “hours” with “days”), and then I’ll stay inside for the next month or so and finally emerge having played through it all. Secondly, I have to compliment you on your absolutely insane production value. If I had any money, you’re the first person whose patreon I’m subscribing to. The editing (especially the Classic Fallout music, really brings back the memories,) is amazing. Your narration and storytelling and all makes me feel like you’re Oxhorn from an alternate universe where he didn’t say and do some *unfortunate* stuff, and I dig it. Lastly, once you’ve exhausted the well of content that is Dust, might I suggest you check out Frost for Fallout 4? It’s quite similar in a lot of ways, though it’s different in that it does have some dialogue and friendly factions. Alternatively, you could check out some of the overhaul mods for Fallout 2. I’d suggest you start with Nevada if you decide to go down that rabbit hole.
Looks like today's Weather is looking a bit sandy.
Just like yesterdays...
And the day before that...
Gentlemen, welcome to New Vegas.
@@Meeps0825 Special Guest: You
The intro of these Dust lore videos is so Falloutesque I am blown away
i love the dust lore so much
Cannibalism seems pretty useless as a survival tactic in a world where there's not enough vegetation and wildlife for a normal diet. You'd assume that the human population would be too low to sustain anyone. The energy required for hunting down humans and killing them is significant.
What else are they supposed to hunt and eat?
@@bobbys1308 tunnelers, which reproduce like rabbits.
But unfortunately, those who turn to cannibalism were not a smart people to begin with. As many others in fallout universe
@@user-zt2tp7xp5u bunch of tunnelers be a lot harder to kill than some humans. Especially when they can tunnel underground to avoid your fire ,and pop up to surprise you just when you are re loading or are out of ammo altogether.
@@colddaze6680 unfortunately, i have to disagree with you. Tunnelers are a lot easier to deal with, than humans. You know why? Because they are predictable animals. Divide tribes already show that - with a bunch of tamed Deathclaw these savages have easily drove off tunnelers. And by themselves - tunnelers are not a strong beast - their only advantage, that they breed fast as rabbits (well, the same logic applies to cazadors, but Dust lore is a Dust lore). Their are much healthy than your average Mojave Survival, there more of them, they dont know how to use guns, explosives and other shit, that humans can do. Its much easier to find and hunt them, then spend whole days to found a single, barely alive survival, who has little to no meat on him, cause he is suffering from constant hunger.
But as i stated earlier - Mojave cannibals were not a bright people to begin with. They, for the luck of better words - are retards.
@@user-zt2tp7xp5u It's easier to hunt humans than animals.
Gold tier content
This happened to my buddy Scott once
2:24 That side teep in the background, owei! :D
god you Deseve so much more views these videos are amazing
Man RUclips is trippin, not recommending me this when it dropped!
I’ve been doing a recent playthrough of dust as the last legionnaire using the we are legion texture mod
Amazing job keep them coming my friend and can I ask you something as will
hey love the video i have a request could you make a offical playlist so i can link this easier to people its been my tool to get people into the mod lol
Consider it done
8:26 veronica no :(
Did you intentioanlly give the Courier in the Outro the Vault 22 Jumpsuit instead of the Vault 21 Jumpsuit, or was that just an oversight?
So if the securitron army is not destroyed in dust. How did the NCR take over the strip? Where did they go after destroying fortification hill? I thought the whole point of MR house having that army was so he could match the NCR in army number.
Lmao the legion flag with the 5th leg lmfao
Seeing the death and decay of the Legion does put a smile on my face
The Episode I most look forward to... Zion's Corruption.
This will suffice until then though.
Zion turns to shit in Dust lore too? Like all polluted with the clouds are just parts of it?
Any song recommendations for playing lonesome road late at Night on a weekend
First one here can we get a podcast on this please
I love mo tel I love human meat
You should've said "who rolled the dice and paid the price" instead of "who rolled the dice and lost it all"
Give your dust modlist PLEASE
Scott. Good work my friend! Good work indeed.
But unfortunately - in this work you did some mistakes.
In DUST lore its never stated, that Courier activated Secuirotron army. Yes, he managed to upgrade them as we can see in the Tomb, but nothing else.
NCR never used cloud against Legion. In fact their first target, ironically, were themselves)
For some odd reason (as we know from flier with military orders), NCR has manage to expand and absorb almost all Arizona, which makes no sense. Almost all NCR officials in game says, that their are overstretched and suddenly - BOOM, NCR has found a thousands new soldiers, to control Arizona. Which - BULLSHIT. Even in Vegas, after their victory, NCR regularly suffered soo many casualties from Legion Remnants, that NCR commanders were pissed beyond believe.
As for the Courier and his allies… We only know, that MAN himself was a total dick, who manage to turn Joshua into the warmonger warlord. And officially, he manage to acquire only the help of Boomers. Anyone else - is unknown.
ik i´m 1 year late but also isn´t the bomber still in the dry lake? that would imply it was never used
love the video as well tho but i believe these are some oversights haha
@@Layron_yeah, you’re right. Kinda forgot about it
