Johnny should respect Daniel after Daniel reminded Johnny that Mr Miyagi saved his life when Kreese tried to strangle him to death after The All Valley Tournament.
in fact he has some respect to him,in s5 he mentioned the things he liked about him when he was heading to the dojo to avenge daniel
Maybe because IT WAS Mr Miyagi who saved his life,I guess a small part of Johnny remembered that

My favorite part is when Daniel started the fight with the hockey team and then Johnny showed up at the end and said "no be there" 😂. Perfect writing.
Johnny may be a bit of a hard head, but he's not completely oblivious or closed-minded. He listens to reason. When Daniel reminds him of when Miyagi-Do saved his ass, he gets back to the lesson that he was ready to abandon. That kind of nuance with the characters is why I love this show.
The character arc between these two is insane. A huge reason why this show is as successful as it is.
only problem is they keep going back and forth because they can't seem to be able to write them as actual friends, so it's the usual "we're cool, no wait my methods are better and you're wrong, wow you're a terrible person johnny/daniel, i can't believe i thought this would work, actually we have to work together, we're cool..." it's gotten tiring at this point

I like that Daniel acknowledges Miyagi style karate seems boring at first. Becaude he felt the same way.
Even Johnny respected Mr Miyagi.
It's cus of the fact that Johnny his whole training life thought that Kreese was the best Karate teacher out and now years later Johnny gets not only beaten by him but also saved by Miyagi without him even lifting a finger he just let Kreese punch the shit out of those windows before scaring him enough with a honk to the nose to pass out. Johnny I'm pretty sure has immense respect for Miyagi.
@@lolohets6467he showed a lot of respect for him early in the series. He was pissed when Hawk trashed the dojo. Johnny and Daniel were technically on the same sides in Cobra Kai, clashing because they had competing dojos
This was one of the best moments. A moment for Daniel to show what he learned and for Johnny to realize just how good at this Mr. Miyagi was.
As a martial artist painter, efficiency makes money, but a sprayer will never beat brushes and rollers in longevity.
If someone was choking the life out of you, and someone else stepped in and saved you, I imagine you'd have a lot of respect for that person. Daniel basically was indebted to Mr. Miagi for the rest of his life.

1:37 I love that peaceful Miyagi Do version of Johnny's theme Ace Degenerate that plays. It's just brilliant.
He actually developed some respect for Daniel, when Daniel chopped the top part of that Beer Bottle off-especially when Johnny was holding it!
Even though Robby and Johnny are father and son, Robby was able to learn all the miyagi do successfully while Johnny can’t. Robby does have more talent than his father
Robby started out with Miyagi do, Johnny already spent years of training in cobra Kai it’s hard to learn the defense method when you only spend time doing offense like Johnny

I love the Silent Reply of Respect!! Johnny understands Daniel's point, and he sees how much Daniel loves Mr. Miyagi, and Johnny also can't deny being saved Twice by Miyagi Do. It's a small moment but a great character moment for Johnny.

When you remember that despite his beef with Daniel and miyagi-do, he never disrespects Miyagi and punishes his class when he finds out someone stole Miyagi Medal of Honor

You see, that is what Anthony needed to see, he needed to see his father do things like that, & be like how. First you learn responsible defense and then you learn excellent defense.
Defense may not be the most exciting thing, but it's intelligent and it keeps you in the fight (ask Pernell Whitaker and James Toney)

I like Daniel, but I wish he'd take the time to explain the lessons and teach them correctly. You aren't supposed to just paint side to side, you're supposed to lock your wrist as you do it, that's what Mr. Miyagi taught him. Also, the "big surprise" thing doesn't work with everyone. Johnny is an experienced martial artist already, just explain the muscle memory and strengthening of those muscles and I think he'll get the lesson better. While Johnny isn't always the best teacher, in some ways, I do think he's better than Daniel is.

Young myagi needs to happen. From his father to him leaving Okinawa to WW2 the 442nd the samps. Imagine how bad ass his medal of honor story would be. Shit I can hear the music as he is surrounded by germans
Sad that they didn't incorporate Johnny's first interaction with Miyagi losing to him in a 5v1 after the Halloween dance. Would have been nice as a reminder for when Daniel takes on the hockey team by himself.
Seems like Daniel does not remember the lesson well. Mr. Miyagi always emphasized breathing correctly, Daniel does not even mention it.

You have to question the quality of all their instruction when they still cannot fight after 40+ years of studying martial arts. If Miyagi was alive, he'd still be saving Daniel-san's ass.

I'll be honest, I stopped watching this show after season two because I found Daniel's daughter to be an insufferable brat. Does she ever take responsibility for her actions in the latter seasons?

Mr Miyagi was a supreme martial artist! Krease and Silver together couldnt beat Mayagi. They couldnt even lay one glove on him. SO yes, Miyagi was a baaaaaad man.

Stop putting alcohol in athletic movies. Slows muscles, reflexes shoots liver energy etc. screws up blood platelets. Dehydrates n more prone to injury n recovery
