Marquises looks amazing on you! I definitely feel like there should be an in between shade for Macao and Marquises.
Macao is my perfect match because I have an olive undertone. But for some reason, I remember Macao being more for golden undertones

Yep! Macao is good for a lot of people in terms of the surface skin color, but that distinct olive undertone (which shows more as it dries on the skin) is where folk usually get messed up. I have a very olive undertone with the smallest hint of golden so Macao is one of the few that matches my undertone and skin color too.

Best review thus far! You are the only one I've seen thus far that shows the true colors of the foundation. Most have so much "lighting" or a bright ring-light, so I can't tell the true color of the foundation (or the reviewer).

Marquises is my shade, so I am happy to find someone that can help me figure out my shade! I went into Sephora and the put swatches of the shades I wanted to try on a glass pane, and then let me swatch the shades on my skin. I like this shade so much that I’m buying the NARS Soft Matte concealer to use with it. I will wear this foundation to an event! It’s that beautiful on the skin! New subbie here.... Let’s Ride!

The islands are called Mar-Kay-Ses. ❤️👍🏽 And that shade looks really really great like skin!❤️I would use the Marques as your outer contour and Macao for your inner lights! I think the blend would really work 🙌

The makeup melts into the skin giving you a flawless finish. I thought the color worked fine although I understood what you meant that there was a difference in the radiance color. Your video was the second review I've seen with the soft matte and it delivered a flawless finish. Maybe you could mix the two colors. I'll definitely be purchasing.

Yes girl me too!! Honestly I’m different in all the finishes. Macao in Natural Radiant. Belem in this new soft matte. I love them all. My skin looks great in all of them!

There definitely needs to be another shade since they changed the undertones. I bought Macao, put it on before our Labor Day bbq quickly, and ended up looking crazy. When I really looked in the mirror hours later I was horrified. I'm waiting for marquise to get here. I rather it be a little too dark for me than too light. Macao usually works for me 🤷🏾♀️
I was actually shook by this too because Macao always works for me btw marquises will def work for u

I've always wanted to try this foundation, but heard the shades are different in this formula compared to other NARS foundations. I came all the way back to this video 2 YEARS LATER to remind me which to get (we're a shade match). So glad I bought Marquises during the Sephora 2022 Fall VIB sale!! I would have been BIG MAD if I got that yellow paint (I mean Macao) 🤣

LOVE this foundation. I just have GREAT skin with it on and look like I’m not wearing a thing. Doesn’t get oily and doesn’t rub off. Best $44 I spent. This formulation just replaced my Sheer Glow 😂❤️❤️

I ordered both and did the side by side comparison last night to help me figure out which to keep. My reaction was the same I think Marquises was the right depth (a smidge to dark) but the undertone was off (tad to red). Macao was the right undertone but not deep enough. Long story short I’m keeping both...smh. We need an in between!

Beautiful shades. I fell in love with the Radiant Longwear foundation in the color Marquises, but now I cant find it ANYWHERE! I think I'm gonna try the Matte foundation to see if will be a good replacement until Marquises is back on the shelf!

I exchanged my macao for marquises. Marquises is really the perfect shade in this formula! I wonder if theyre going to change the colors for the natural radiant as well ?

Yep need a shade in between, Nars doesn’t have my shade because of this. I don’t buy nars foundation for that very reason. Making black girls buy two shades and mix kmt. Thanks for the review/comparison.

Honestly, the Maybelline super stay foundation looks exactly the same. The initial color is a bit scary when you put it on your face but with your body heat, it oxidizes beautifully into the color. I’m color cappuccino (winter shade)

I can’t want to try this in Macao. My radiant long wear Macao is a tad bit dark so I add my revlon colorstay stay in caramel to lighten it up a bit. This Macao looks like it will be perfect for me.

Oh your face is too pretty for foundation you don't need it anyway but I think you're right. I think the marquis's looks better on you and I think all the new Matt foundations are doing becoming lighter in their new products I don't know what it is I bought the Too Faced matte foundation in rum raisin and that was my color in the original formula which was work for me it was a little red but it was good when I put this foundation on because you can't test anything in the store is because of what's going on in the world so I got home and I said I make sure I keep this receipt just in case you don't know so it took a couple of weird for me to get used to the color but it's not bad it's more of my winter color you know but it's in the other formula is rum raisin and sucks why I bought the same exact one of the girls to get the exact color that you got in the original formula that's what I bought but it just took a while to get used to but when it I wear the foundation it is absolutely beautiful it is it a true matte it's like a dimming that and it appears well I've been looking for this Nars Foundation it hasn't been in stores yet in my area but I don't even know what color were and how would they test me because they can't touch you and they can't even touch you in Sephora with that device they use to figure out your color so I guess I don't know what I'm going to do but I do want to try this Foundation as well but it looks very pretty on your skin which is already pretty anyway so you just enhancing Beauty you already have but good review thank you.
