Can we please have windows 7 back? Unpopular opinion… I enjoyed windows vista. It was so stylish and sleek, not to mention innovative and modern for its time. The issue with vista was not the os itself, but rather the hardware limitations at the time. I mean let’s face it most of us upgraded our old Xp and even Me machines to vista.
I hung on to XP, until it was time to move to 7...and that's only when I wasn't fully satisfied with 8. It's just so natural for a Windows user like me (been there since 3.0) to really wait n see until the almost 'perfect' OS (no other choice) sits in front of you. My worst experience was Windows Me (Millenium) my first ever downgrade and my precious lesson on not giving your hopes up on to a new OS (Longhorn, Vista, 8...etc) until everything settles down and stable.
vista is a windows 7 but 2 years later (meant to be in 2007 hence the name of seven) and with so many problems that I've never seen any serious system administrator running the computers under vista. to be exact some faved to stay on XP, showing vista is such a gateway to problems more than end of support XP was at that time. that's also why microsoft gave pro versions more time about EOL sec updates.
you can literally skip every second version cause they are crap and need more time. starting from xp it was great then vista was whack then windows 7 was good again. Windows 8 was a complete dissaster and windows 10 saved it again. I know there was some sort of windows 9 when i remember correctly but that was some niche thing.
Can confirm; Using Windows 7 in the modern era after the support date has passed is analogous to smoking - You might not develop lung cancer (security vulnerabilities) until it is too late.
Being a user of tiny 10 i would say it is worse Because it also removes all imp windows features like net framework also installing softwares in it is worst experience

@@Redhollow the hate is because how Microsoft asks you to make it your default browser like every update and timely notifications. If they don't do that, they might have been doing a bit better. Moreover, Google monopoly is that they put Chrome in Android by default and pay 3rd party browsers to make Google as the default search engine. Meanwhile Microsoft uses Bing. Also, bing is much better now especially after the recent Google changes and posting websites from quora and reddit.
Windows 11 and Edge is honestly my favourite setup, I don't understand why people hate on them in August 2023, like they're both literally so fast and reliable, i couldn't imagine still being on Win 10

The UI is a piece of junk, why doe they need to change things every time once again just when i got started to get used at the windows 10 settings menu and start menu? Very stupid! Also why taskbar at the center, eww! 2. Unstable I cant count the people having trouble with a windows 11 upgrade on my 2 hands... especially wifi driver issues. I have to reinstall them for people quite often, and thats horrible. Trust me... 3. Bloatwate Yup, laptops blowing the sh*t out of them while booting up, isnt right... this because of the bloatware on the laptop, you have to agree to that, it just is... 4. CPU and TPM requirement Windows got waaaay too picky with their system requirements... like you can perfectly run win11 on a pentium 4 with 4Gb of ram. I feel like this is yet another way to make people pay for new hardware, shame on you microsoft! Theres soo much more but im not making the comment any longer...
Honestly, Win 11 was forced upon me, but at the end, I don't dislike it after all. I think that Win11 is perfect for laptops, totally, I couldn't use a laptop with 10 simply because it lacks a few functions here and there and the OS is simply less polished for some things. But I strongly believe that Windows 10 is still the best option for desktops or to simply get the best performance out of a computer. Windows 10 is lightweight. Easily debloatable and the UI is faster/simplier, and easier to use. But it lacks functions, it feels old after using 11. Windows 11 is okay, but it's a fact that it's just an even more bloated windows 10, it's slower, glitchier, and leaving that aside, even if it has a good UI, the file explorer has been utterly fkced up, sincerely, it's horrible. The right click menu is sincerely the worst thing on this OS. It's HORRIBLE. But still, it's an okay OS. I'd say pick 10 if you can. I can't
I'm always trying different linux distros. While they are good and come a long way, still not good enough to replace windows. For a basic usr like internet and office stuuf is great tho.

Everything Vista did, 7 did better.
