Thank you for your kind words...I was a little concerned with the length and my non-related material (Joe Flacco) brought a negative response from a viewer, but so far, so good. It's the only detailed build video of this device; which I am loving, by the way. 73! de WX0V
Yeah...based on what I see on BBI's channel (I have not been on 11 meters in over 40 years), the CBers kick our ass in the QRO category. I do like BBI, though...I think he's interesting to watch. Thanks for the comment and 73! de WX0V
@@SuburbanDXing Agreed, he is very interesting to watch, the guy knows his way around an linear amp, i have lost count of how many of his videos i have watched, repairing SB220's etc , or building or modifying amplifiers, the guy is good to watch. Your 'kit' looks really neat, even though i have my array solutions 'six-pack' i might be tempted to buy one. I must check logger 32 to see whether or not our paths have crossed....73!
@@AnthonyJones-vk6xq If my RAAS-8a goes up in smoke (which would likely be from my soldering than the kit design), I'll go with the excellent Array Solutions option, but for now, I'll run with this. No, we have not worked, but will keep an eye out for you. 73! de WX0V
BBi gear is solid. Dig this board you are making. I think Dx commander has this or one like it. I enjoyed this video. Well done sir. From the high desert in northern Nevada this is 117Reno and I just got DOWN! Click click.
Thank you for designing the RAAS-8a! I am really enjoying it thus far...if my own soldering holds up. 😁 Back to the Browns/Texans game for me...more Joe Flacco! 😀 73! de WX0V [Disclaimer] My RAAS-8a was purchased by me and WA4MCM had no idea I was producing a video on it...there are no affiliate links on this channel and I buy my own stuff.
Cool. I hope your build goes well. So far, I love mine...it's great! No affiliate links here, so you'll have to find him on your own (very easy to do). I do not have any affiliate links because I want unbiased information given to my viewers...73! de WX0V
Good point on the missing auto mode. At times I use different antennas for RX so auto mode will never be used here, but your point is totally valid...it is a feature of the switch that I probably should have covered. I appreciate your feedback; maybe more than you know...73! de WX0V
Not sure...perhaps the complexity is needed to work with the software and rig-control. All I know is thus far, the RAAS-8a is working beautifully. 73! de WX0V

Well done and informative. The phone cord comparison was spot on. Nice kit.

Taking your time and enjoying the build is very important!
Good point. This took several days as I'm a hack, and still in the work force. I did enjoy this, to be sure...thanks for your comment and 73! de WX0V
1534Watts thats literally QRP for BBI !!!!
Another great video, really enjoyed watching this, have a great weekend.

Great video! I just ordered my kit.
I hope you enjoy the build. The RAAS-8a continues to work very well at my QTH. 73! de WX0V

no smoke.. no smoke.. a good start at least.. :)
...and remember, there is NO SMOKING IN THE METRODOME! 😃, and yes, my build passed the smoke test; always a victory...73! de WX0V
