    Thanks for showing how the front jacks work, I didn't know that it was for audio.

    While you're at it, thought to share also the internals of the device? I am curious what kind of relay this one is using.

    I note it states upto 160MHz. Given that I will switch it with the PTT control line could I also pass UHF / 437MHz at 5watts safely through this device ??

      Sorry, I'm not an engineer. I used it to disconnect my dongle from an HF radio, not UHF. My guess would be no.

    I had exact same one and wired as shown on other videos, however when I powered up the box, my radio audio goes low and I see more activity on the SDRUNO waterfall side, and the green light (left) activated without pressing anything, can you pls direct me

      Have you switched the jumper inside the antenna switcher to dual receive? Check this update video I did as I worked through the same problem. (At least I think it is the same problem.) Good luck and thanks for watching. ruclips.net/video/-OLWWF21YJU/видео.html

      Basically a 12v source. 13.8 to be exact. I put Anderson plugs on mine and connect them to a power pole distribution block.

    Tnx for video. I've got a problem : As soon as I supply power, the device attenuates the input signal by almost 90%! Something wrong. Can you help me ?

      Check out my videos on using this with a SDR for a panadapter and the update video. I seem to remember something similar. I double che ked the wiring and made the change to the jumper on the switch circuit board, I haven't had any problems.

    Does this switch mute the SDR audio when you go into TX mode?

    • @GadgetTalk4U
      @GadgetTalk4U  2 года назад +1

      The switch disconnects the SDR dongle from the antenna when the transmitter transmits. So technically yes. When the transmitter and SDR are close, the SDR may pick up some of the signal but the point is to keep the transmitter output from smoking the SDR dongle. Hope I understood the question correctly. Cheers.

    Hello can you please help me I am using this switcher with an sdr play rsp1a an ft 450d a usb to com lead I can connect between my radio and the Yeasu software but I can’t handshake with the sdr uno software what have I not done sdr uno is connected

    • @GadgetTalk4U
      @GadgetTalk4U  2 года назад +1

      There are a lot of things going on with setting up the switcher and the software. I have 3 videos on this. First is this one on the switcher, next called SDR Panadapter Using an Antenna Switcher and the third one is an update to the second. The update focuses on a streamlined method of connecting everything if you use Ham Radio Deluxe. Start with the second fairly long video that will guide you through getting and installing several pieces of software to get the communication paths right. I don't use the Yeasu software so I'm afraid I'm not too much help there. Good Luck.

    I've been using it for a few weeks. It has several problems.
    1 - RF isolation in TX is poor.
    2 - The relays in the audio line make terrible noises in the speakers when activated. Do not use the front sockets!
    3 - Find a way for your radio to control the box. Don't trust her RF detector!

    You never said anything about FT 8

    • @GadgetTalk4U
      @GadgetTalk4U  2 года назад

      With the display as part of the WSTJ-X software, I haven't found a need for the SDR display for FT-8. If your computer is powerful enough or you have enough screens, there's not reason this wouldn't work. PS. Check my "Update" video on this topic. It addresses resetting a jumper in the switcher so the transceiver gets an audio signal.

    Really sad that this is built better than the MFJ at 1/3 the price. No wonder MFJ stopped making stuff. They sucked.
