I could just sense Lennon’s thoughts through my screen
“This is so embarrassing...”
“Why did she bring me here..?”
“Why are they sticking things up my butt..?”
“Are you just gonna make me pee all over this thing..?”
“Can you get your weird furless paws off my beautiful fur-“
Edit: Thanks for the pin omagah
Edit: wait it’s been unpinned, what happened? xD
Those are the thoughts of all rabbits
😂😂
You got pinned!!
You got pinned that's epic
poor Lennon she thought a wasp stung her
That's my vet 🙂 I also got my rabbit vaccinated at that location. It is a little pricey, but comparing their costs with other vets in LA, it's not all that much different. Plus, they are extremely knowledgeable and truly care about the health of your rabbit.
Would you mind sharing how much it cost to get the vaccinations?
@@taylordoak206 if you have been there within the last few months, then the physical is $80 and the vaccine $32. If you haven't, then the physical itself is $99, plus the vaccine. They won't give your rabbit the vaccine without a physical checkup.
There is another rabbit savvy vet in Irvine - Northwood Animal Hospital that has a more affordable physical of $69, but the vaccine is $45. The cost difference isn't a whole lot but it's an option. They also won't give your rabbit the vaccine without an exam. Although, I cannot comment on their service since I have never visited that location. Hope that helps.
@@ParasiticApe wow that's actually not bad especially with that clinic.
@@taylordoak206 I live in Texas and they didn't need to get an exam since she just had one two months ago. I just paid for the vaccine (It was 42 and an exam is also about 40-50 at my vet)... Or maybe it's 30 bucks. I remember it being less than I thought it would be. The reason they want to do a recent exam is to make sure their health is perfect before they give the vaccine to them. The vaccine is a bit experimental and has some side effects, but it's way worth it because it's a horrible virus to die from.
do you mind sharing the name of the vet clinic, i want to take my bunnies there for their vaccination
god that disease is terrifying, so glad lenny is vaccinated against it now
Ya I just realized it
I just back from the vet with my rabbit and they didn't even mention it. They did offer me a $600 spay though lol sounds reasonable (not)

This Virus is horrible! With a death rate of 99,9%😥
I recently rescued a family of bunnies and one day before their vaccination appointment they all died of RHDV2! They suffocated in my arms... it was horrible. So I only can recommend the vaccine. All of my indoor bunnies are vaccinated too because RHDV2 can also be transmitted trough fresh food and even Hay.
So nice that you use your influence to inform other bunny owners. ❤️🐇
I’m sorry for your rabbits.
I'm so sorry that happened. Poor bunnies. 😢💔
My first rabbit passed away after this vaccine, so I change my mind about this vaccine..... also vet told me if your rabbit is indoor and is only one pets ,no need vaccine, so be be careful after vaccine . Day before vaccine vet check teeth, eyes , stomach, everything on my rabbit and said everything is OK. The Next day we put vaccine and the same night after vaccine my rabbit stop eating, after thath drinking, looks very weird and after that passed away !!!! So guy think twice when you go to vet for vaccine!!!!
@@stanislavadimova9241 Unless your rabbit was necropsied, you can't say with certainty it was the vaccine.
@@EclecticallyEccentric And you can't say with certainty that it wasn't the vaccine. She was only relating her experience with the vax. This rabbit was seen and examined by a vet and was declared healthy the day before the vax was administered. The next day after the vax this perfectly healthy bunny was dead.
She just forgot to go pee first, that's why she snuck out of her carrier before leaving lol 🤣 I though for sure she was retaliating by peeing on you (can pet rabbits even do that lol)
Totally!
Big brain
Yes they can. My 1st adopted bun would sit on everyone else's lap with no drama,as soon as she sat on me she would pee every time. She would always charge into the kitchen every time the refrigerator door was opened. Bunny's are smarter and way more cunning than humans give them credit for.🐰🐇❤
@@dlew3624 They are smart. My late bunny used to hide under a table and wait for my best friend to enter the living room then, run at her feet, grunting, and then run for cover under the piano bench; his spot. He did it every time she came to visit.
@@MonaLisa-yb9bq they are so funny, my flopsy used to honk like a goose and chase cats pigeons etc out of the garden. Used to call it devil bunny mode, ears forward like a bulls horns and honking running full speed at her target. Totally hilarious to watch. She was a big bunny . She was quite a charecter. Girl bunny's are like the lionesses of the bunny world, they have the biggest attitudes, and take no rubbish from any one or anything. my 4 boys are more relaxed. Bless them all.
I absolutely love how gentle and experienced that vet was being with your little beloved Lennon!
Lennon is so brave! She was braver than I was, since I cried a lot when I had vaccines at that time where I was still 3-5 years old. I hope that you and Lennon will stay safe from the viruses out there. 🥰😊
I love the vet! She was so kind to Lennon, but she also explained everything to us (and Lorelai) very well. She did a very thorough exam & seemed very knowledgeable!

its actually impossible for them to have or spread the virus.

Hi Lorelei,
I just talked to my Vet in Massachusetts and there's no vaccine in my area. They actually told me that they don't know of any in the USA so I told them about your channel and where you live. Thank you for the informative video! Your Lennon reminds me so much of my Billy who passed suddenly a few years ago. He was a 6 lb white bunny who went everywhere with us (vacations, beach, grandma's house, stores). He was such a love. Everyone out there...enjoy every minute with your bunny! Every day is precious!
Sorry about your baby... Lorele is in USA California...
I'm not familiar with this ....
Is 2021 Sep now
Hey, Lorelie, I just want to thank you for making these videos, without you, my beautiful bunny might have still been living in a cage, thank you.
I literally was dying when she peed on you. She was like “I’m not going down without a fight!”
I'm totally amazed by the fact pet rabbits don't get yearly vaccinations and check-ups in the US. Here in the Netherlands it is pretty normal to go to the vet each year and have a check up (especially teeth are important) and vaccinations for RHD, myxomatosis, and 2 years ago (or smth) RHD2 came here and they got shots for that as well.
Yes! And also shocked that rabbit vaccines werent used before in the US! Since in the Netherlands we now have a three in one vaccine (for Myxomatosis, RHDV1 and RHDV2(Novibac+)) and you can also still choose a separate RHDV2(Eravac), RHDV1 + 2(Filavac) or Myxo + RHDV1(Novibac) vaccine.
Same here in the Uk & Belgium. I had no idea it wasn't a thing in the us as i've always gone to vets to get my bunny vaccinated and thought it was the same everywhere 🤷♀️
yes, same in the UK. You can get the Novibac+Eravac or the Nobivac+. I had my boy vaccinated with the first option and he had no issue at all. But my girl, that had the Nobivac+, had a bad reaction. Luckily she got better in a few days
Same here in Australia, except our horrible government won’t let us get the Myxo vaccination ☹️ I’m scared I’ll come home to them passing from one of these
Our rabbits and others I know do get yearly check-ups but bunny vaccinations are a new thing here in the US :)
This is such a weird concept to me, in the UK bunnies get vaccinated and get boosters every year
So
Yeah ikr
It’s
N o r m a l
Ye idk why they just don’t do that everywhere else lol
My bun had it today! I couldn’t go inside the vets my dad had to but the vet said they are the healthiest and happiest bun they have ever had!
That veterinarian was very gentle and knowledgeable if only we had more like her
I got my bunny vaccinated at the same facility in Pasadena! They were very quick about it and my bunny Lupin couldn't have been more energetic with no side effects to report. Dr. Kanfer does amazing work and it's very cool to see the Exotic Animal Vet Center featured on here! I highly recommend them.
I got this 23 seconds after it was posted
Wow thats so soon

Any pet hears they are going to the vet. They get sad, cry, try to run away all that. Keep taking care of lennon. Stay healthy and safe during these times.
She didn't freak out. Lorelei did...Love your vids
This was SUCH an important video, it's the scariest virus I've seen for bunny owners. You even have to be careful about the hay you buy as if infected bunnies were in the hay fields before they collected it then your bunny can get it from the hay because like the vet said it can survive heat cold and can live for 3 months. Over here people check on bunny forums for safe hay during the worst months for contagion or store their hay for months before using it. It is a bit expensive, but then owning a rabbit isn't cheap with regular exotic vet visits. But it's worth the cost in my books because buns are awesome precious companions ❤️ Thank you Lorelei for informing more bunny owners of this horrible virus.
Lennon wanted to play hide and seek before she when on her trip,
She is mad that you found her.
😂😂
Oh Lennon is so cute but I was very scared if everyone love Lennon pls thumbs up
I have study on a animal school for 3 years some years Ago, from everything I lern there about bunnies It was almost all wrong and My bunnies in the begining didn't live as happy as I Wanted, then I Saw this Channel and they have never been so happy. Thanks for Beeing you Lorelei! PS: Lennon is sooo Cute!
My three buns are getting their RHDV2 vaccine on Thursday. We're in Montana where we had some positive cases in February and I work at a lab where we may start doing some of the testing for it. It's such a huge relief to have the ability to keep my bunnies safe from this terrifying virus!

@@butterflyr9342 in England my rabbit had the first vaccine RHD but when it came to RHD2 the vet said there was a chance of sudden death (I was shocked when she said that) so I wouldn't let my bunny have it. I think RHD2 is a fairly new vaccine.
@@annweston2326 Rhd2 vaccines (filavac and eravac) are available since 2017 in Europe, so not new at all

The pigeon Weirdo - yeah, I have 2 rabbits and one doesn’t mind being picked up (only if necessary) and the other HATES it and he scratches the crap out of me
just FYI for anyone concerned about the the shot - the way Lennon twitched with the injection wasn’t a huge pain response, that’s a natural muscle twitch that bunnies have to shoo away bugs and relieve itches they can’t reach.

Wow, this is the vet I used to go to! They are amazing. What a small world.🐰🤍
My little Bella passed away about 6 months ago suddenly (pre-vaccine), and it has been the most difficult experience to cope with this loss. One of my buns died of this illness just before she was due to be vaccinated after the vets reopened following the covid lockdown. There were very little symptoms, and I only realised them in hindsight because they were so small and so sudden, litterally the day before she just seemed a little more tired than usual and she was getting a slight bald patch after shedding.. That's it, and I chocked it down to the fact it was a bit warmer than usual that day. RHDV2 is lethal, vaccines are so so important ❤️

This has nothing to do with this virus, but I was at the vet with my rabbit a little more than a week ago. He wasn't eating and normally I can fix it myself but this time his tummy became hard because fur was blocking his intestines. The vet asked me if I wanted to euthinaze him right there or if I wanted them to try and get him well.
