1 year ago I innocently clicked on a random bunny video and now im here watching Lennon the Bunny with 2 bunnies cuddling next to me covered in banana guts
We have a cottontail rescue as a pet, he was injured too badly to be released in the wild, and after a while we noticed he seemed very bored and depressed. So we got him a dwarf lionhead girlfriend and it turned him around 180 degrees, both bink and zoom around the house, and snuggle when they sleep. It's made all the difference in the world.
My oldest bunny seemed depressed and bored too when he was a single bunny. Then one day one my my clients (I’m a gardener) caught a feral domestic bunny with a broken leg in a trap that had been sneaking into her garden. I took her home and got her all fixed up. My boy did a complete turn around! Suddenly he was running and playing with his toys and happy! Now I have a bonded trio and it’s so great! 🙂

Awww! I have a baby bunny and she’s in a cage right now because she’s too small and I’m scared I could step on her but I plan to let her free roam when she’s bigger
My bunny took three years to warm up to me because I got her from a dodgy situation and I'm pretty sure she had traumatic experiences with humans. It took her about a year to tolerate me, but a really long time to actually act happy around me. Rabbits are crazy smart and highly emotional folks.
Be patient! I have an aggressive territorial rabbit and have been constantly bitten. He is now neutered and after 2 weeks is showing signs of calming down. He's still highly territorial, but at least he doesn't attack and bite. I am working with him, looking forward to the day he'll ask for a head rub. That'll be his true birthday. Keep up the good work!
Same, my rabbit came from a family friend who never changed its cage (literally once a month), was barely fed and looked SO upset. Luckily it’s kinda adjusted but he doesn’t let me pick him up at times, nor does he let he feed him carrots most of the time, but hopefully he’ll adjust.

I am the same. A historic german shepherd owner (had 3 over the years) and one day my little girl got a mini lop rabbit. I work from home and little blue belle is my house buddy. Ive never loved an animal like it and she genuinely has improved my output at work, she brings joy and diffuses all the stress and pressure. Im cuddling her right now -she smells of biscuits and snuggles her head into my neck :)
@@kirk1147 I've never gotten attached to any of my other pets. Vincent was the exception. He was a rescue bunny and he had a fear of everything when we got him. Throughout the years however I stuck to feeding him and trying to bond, but Vinny was still ornery until one day after work I laid on the floor for a good long time and all of it was spent as quality time with him, and now it's as if we have a psychic connection. He knows when I'm going to be coming through the door... He has been deemed clinically deaf by our vet and he's near to being blind too, but he comes when I call him or when I start talking to him saying "I love the baby, I love the bunny, where's Vinny"... So I think about not having him in my life and I amazed that a little rabbit got to me like this.
Yesterday, I was letting my bunny free roam around the garden and I was playing catch by myself. Then she started following me, so I started playing with her by bending to her level and walking/quietly jogging away and she kept binkying and running towards me 😂😂❤
I got my first bunny "BlackB" and one time I couldn't find her and later found her sitting under our bed in the dark. I was so worried whether she was depressed or scared as she won't come out of there. Thank god it was because she loves "cool, dark" places. PS, turns out she's a "him".
I think my 2 rabbits are the the weirdest lmao they both love laying on top of me on my lap the feet and body on the couch so its half and half laying down form😂 (Their feet on top of my lap and their head on the sofa)

Our 10yr old bunny recently had to have his front paw amputated. We were told to just euthanise him instead but he was healthy & happy previous to his injury so we took a chance on him. Within a week he was back to his old self begging for food, charging around & playing but the best part is that he’s suddenly extra affectionate with us all. He loved being cuddled & petted before but never really reciprocated with the grooming, which was fine but now it’s almost like he has a new awareness of us. Like he knows we took care of him after his op & now he’s caring for us & wanting to show how much he loves us. It’s so strange but wonderful. Who knows what goes on their minds. Maybe they’re aware of a lot more than we give them credit for.

I got my first bun bun when my wife came home with 3 one day. SURPRISE! Well I was not sure I could stand having to deal with the hay, pellets, upkeep, and all of the things that go along with having and caring for a rabbit. But, the moment my issued fuzzy ball hopped into my lap, I was sold. I can't tell you how much I was wrong about caring for a bunny. I love her with every fiber of my being and treat her like a princess. Nothing makes me happier than seeing her dart around the room and doing binkies. My cat loves her too and she does nothing but show love for everyone in the house. My boy's bunny is still a bit standoffish but I am sure he will come around. My wife's bunny is, well a fearless terror but an angel at the same time. I can't thank my wife enough for bringing such a little angel into my life
Hey Lorelei and Lennon! Even if you don't see this I would like to say you saved my rabbit! She lived outside with only pellets and water everyone once and awhile and we'd check on her once every month! Now she lives inside with hay freeroamed toys etc! Your amazing! I used to be afraid of her now we are best friends! Thank you so much!!

My bunny hates bananas! But she'll go nuts for apple, and her absolute favourite is frozen strawberry. I always see so many bun parents saying how much their buns love bananas and I just seem to have a weird one who really does not like them! It's so funny to me

I'm so grateful for this channel, it taught me that rabbits are actually awesome and a pet I definitely want to have someday. My circumstances prevent me from being able to dedicate a rabbit's full lifespan to one, but I'm now a foster mom to rabbits working with a rescue in my state! I bought bananas from the grocery store and when I got home I had set the bags on the floor. As I was putting things away I hear some rustling noises. I turned around to catch my rabbit biting into a banana peel. He SNIFFED out the banana from IN the bag! Among all the other smells.

Be careful to attend when a bunny wants atttention. Once, I was lying on the sofa, eating a bowl of creamed peas on mashed potato while talking to my mom, long distance, Mischief,my 3 year old bun, was sitting on her haunches, watching me, eager for attention. Suddenly, she took a flying leap onto my stomach and landed right into mu bowl of supper, didn't like the hot mashed potatoes and pea she'd landed in, and jumped up, shook her feet backward into me, and hopped off in anger and disgust. I was covered, there were mashed potato prints all over the couch and floor, and my mom was laughing so hard we had ro end the call. Took days before my bun forgave me.
I love getting up in the morning and seeing all my baby bunnies playing. I bring them inside when its too hot outside. They here me walking to the fridge and its a bunny stampede.

I think the idea of the carrots was humorous to people back in the day because a much, much higher percentage of average homeowners had a little garden back then. Wild rabbits are true garden invaders and pretty much everyone had carrots because they are easy to gorw (second easiest thing next to radishes and beans). And they quickly grow big, green tops readily devoured by rabbits who in my experience ate the top of the carrot and left the rest since moving left or right was easier than excavating..
2:11 I had a wedding for my bunnies and they could never live without each other! It’s true! They have had 12 kits together (2 litters, both unplanned) and are the perfect bun bun couple!
My little bunny Muffin is free roam in my apartment for past year and he loves it. Got him when he was 2 months old and will be 2 years old June 2nd He lately jumps up onto my bed and hangs out with my dog. And around 7 am every morning he jumps up and sits by my face licking me. He's awake before me and my dog. I believe he's waking mama to get up and feed him. So adorable and I love it.
My bunny didn't like bananas but now she loves them. If she is out in her run and you start peeling a banana she runs straight over and climbs up the side of her run to get a piece. She can smell it as soon as you start to peel it.
Hi Lorelei, I'm a bunny owner as you I had to read a lot and also watch a lot videos to learn and understand my bunnies needs I understand you because when ppl get a bunny they dont know how to take care of them. It's impossible to save all bunnies but you helped that bunny and feel glad because of that. Why dont you make a brochure with basic and essential info to take care of bunnies? Maybe you can give this brochure in some local pet stores, vets, or refugees. Once I bought something online for my bunny and they give me a brochure so it's good to know that ppl is getting that info. I dont know, Im just tryng to help, but congrats, you are helping a lot with your channel and being involved. Hugs

Our Bosko would chin and lick and was so lovely made us so happy. We lost him this week unexpectedly and our hearts are broken. Love watching your little bunny.
For those who didn't know about serotonin boosts through grooming she mentioned, the lower serotonin amount, the lower mood of your rabbit (and anyone).
Our bunny also loves carrots. As well as bananas, cucumber, lettuce, broccoli, almost any greenies. She is very picky about the type of hay, and at the moment I need to use some tricks to get her to eat the hay. I really envy the clips when I see the people holding the rabbit in their arms and petting them. We can never do that with ours. She let us to pet her if treats are around, but no way we can pick her up. We have not clip her nails yet and I dont know how to get her to see a vet.
Mine passed away. I think the pet doctors never seen one cry so hard before. I cried crazy a whole month. But i try to see it as i borrow a angel. I got her when i was really down. And when ive got better she passed away. I didnt know they could free roam before i got into your youtube. So thanks to you she had a great life here♡♡ thank you
I hope my rabbits are this snuggly when they’re older. The one cuddles with me the most while I’m sleeping and if she sees my eyes open, she leaves lol. She snuggles in the day too, just too hyper to sit still. 😂
Tell him you would like to foster a rabbit. There are always rabbits needing foster homes. Then when he falls in love with the furball, suggest adopting the bunny. Always works when my wife does it to me.

My bunny hates bananas! But she'll go nuts for apple, and her absolute favourite is frozen strawberry. I always see so many bun parents saying how much their buns love bananas and I just seem to have a weird one who really does not like them! It's so funny to me

I'm so grateful for this channel, it taught me that rabbits are actually awesome and a pet I definitely want to have someday. My circumstances prevent me from being able to dedicate a rabbit's full lifespan to one, but I'm now a foster mom to rabbits working with a rescue in my state! Thanks, Lorelei and Lennon, fostering is so fulfilling and I love it!

I bought bananas from the grocery store and when I got home I had set the bags on the floor. As I was putting things away I hear some rustling noises. I turned around to catch my rabbit biting into a banana peel. He SNIFFED out the banana from IN the bag! Among all the other smells.

Awww I love it when our fosters bunnies would binky and do zoomies 🥺💗 we have a slippery floor so we place towels down, one of the bunnies, (fern) she would run around so fast and come over to us 🥺💗💗 it was adorable! It makes my happy to see bun buns happy
Be careful to attend when a bunny wants atttention. Once, I was lying on the sofa, eating a bowl of creamed peas on mashed potato while talking to my mom, long distance, Mischief,my 3 year old bun, was sitting on her haunches, watching me, eager for attention. Suddenly, she took a flying leap onto my stomach and landed right into mu bowl of supper, didn't like the hot mashed potatoes and pea she'd landed in, and jumped up, shook her feet backward into me, and hopped off in anger and disgust. I was covered, there were mashed potato prints all over the couch and floor, and my mom was laughing so hard we had ro end the call. Took days before my bun forgave me.

I think the idea of the carrots was humorous to people back in the day because a much, much higher percentage of average homeowners had a little garden back then. Wild rabbits are true garden invaders and pretty much everyone had carrots because they are easy to gorw (second easiest thing next to radishes and beans). And they quickly grow big, green tops readily devoured by rabbits who in my experience ate the top of the carrot and left the rest since moving left or right was easier than excavating..

My little bunny Muffin is free roam in my apartment for past year and he loves it. Got him when he was 2 months old and will be 2 years old June 2nd
He lately jumps up onto my bed and hangs out with my dog. And around 7 am every morning he jumps up and sits by my face licking me. He's awake before me and my dog. I believe he's waking mama to get up and feed him. So adorable and I love it.

My bunny didn't like bananas but now she loves them. If she is out in her run and you start peeling a banana she runs straight over and climbs up the side of her run to get a piece. She can smell it as soon as you start to peel it.

Hi Lorelei, I'm a bunny owner as you I had to read a lot and also watch a lot videos to learn and understand my bunnies needs I understand you because when ppl get a bunny they dont know how to take care of them. It's impossible to save all bunnies but you helped that bunny and feel glad because of that.
Why dont you make a brochure with basic and essential info to take care of bunnies? Maybe you can give this brochure in some local pet stores, vets, or refugees.
Once I bought something online for my bunny and they give me a brochure so it's good to know that ppl is getting that info.
I dont know, Im just tryng to help, but congrats, you are helping a lot with your channel and being involved.

For those who didn't know about serotonin boosts through grooming she mentioned, the lower serotonin amount, the lower mood of your rabbit (and anyone).
Our bunny also loves carrots. As well as bananas, cucumber, lettuce, broccoli, almost any greenies.
She is very picky about the type of hay, and at the moment I need to use some tricks to get her to eat the hay.
I really envy the clips when I see the people holding the rabbit in their arms and petting them. We can never do that with ours. She let us to pet her if treats are around, but no way we can pick her up. We have not clip her nails yet and I dont know how to get her to see a vet.
Mine passed away. I think the pet doctors never seen one cry so hard before. I cried crazy a whole month. But i try to see it as i borrow a angel. I got her when i was really down. And when ive got better she passed away. I didnt know they could free roam before i got into your youtube. So thanks to you she had a great life here♡♡ thank you
