The engine shouldn't work that way, that seems like a bug. There's no way that much fuel can create that much heat and it makes no sense for it to grow exponentially. I bet there's a + instead of a - in some equation somewhere or a silly mistake like that. Maybe they fixed it in the last 8 years. There was a time period in SS13 where heat and gas were so broken that using a thermoelectric generator for power was completely off-limits. That's why they had the singularity engine for ages and they deleted atmospherics on Donut 2. And the alternative codebases used the supermatter engine where it doesn't matter if it's bugged because it's not supposed to correspond to reality to begin with.
You are right, and on goon this is fixed now, burns like this are no longer possible. However, the situation with people getting shocked to death does still happen, because less energy does more damage now. On last night's stream I got shocked by a 2 mw wire and lost an arm!
Having heard the tale sent via a friend over the legendary, butt bot incident. I looked up a few things, and found your very insightful videos. Would be possible to explain a more or less newbie style for those getting into this game? As I would like to get more folks, and learn much more myself with how the game is currently.
it's super splitting hairs and an autastic thing to get hung up on, but i can't get over it. the way your pronounciation of "gigawatts" somehow ends up as "JIGGAwatts" is fucking absurd. also, i actually recently heard, with self-awareness almost nonexistent, Tex/BlackPantsLegion ALSO intentionally saying it as fucking JIGGAwatts. over and over, across videos, seemingly devoid of even the faintest hint of doubt or shame. dont get me wrong, i love your videos, and im a huge fan of tex's content but you've poisoned him with MUH JIGGAS SO YA, N0 0ffense :) but you must say giga like it's supposed to be
Both pronunciations are right, you can hear it on Webster: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gigawatt The "J" sound is from an older, but still valid, pronunciation.
This is my favorite episode of ss13. Period.
But he doesn't know who Rick Flair is...
Are power gloves still a thing? Because I will remember this.
you weren't joking
I was sent by the Black Pants Legion. This is "Required" Research for engine fun
Tex sent me. He likes this video. He wants his taco pail back, please.
At the end “Whole Station Powered: Yes” only time I’ve ever seen that happen.
{Sacrifices a million greytiders to the engine in a vain attempt to summon Yorp}
I guess this worked!
I am legit disappointed you only vaporized one dude. Talk about bad luck, I think the guy who got you was also a traitor.
+AbbadonOfHell man I miss this dudes SS13 videos. Wish he'd come and make some new content.
@@SirDigs Your wish granted.
@@DecidelyUnethical Oh, I'm aware. We managed to hook him into joining the BPL Discord :P
@@SirDigs BPL?
So this is what Tex was talking about...
Tex (Black Pants Legion) Sent me here.
The invisible grinders indicated only by the remains of previous victims is reminiscent of Mount Everest or Roadside Picnic or some shit
Well that literally is the Meat Grinder from the end of the book
I was worried you got sent to SS13 rehab... glad to see you are still alive and posting great episodes! Thanks!
mfw i only now realise this is a reference to electric six awesome.
Tex sent me here
That poor AI didn't even have a jacket to elbow drop.
And this is why NT really needs to add more background checks on their staff operating any kind of heavy equipment.
2:52 Maybe... or maybe it'll be one of the most important videos you'll ever make.
Nice to see you again Yorp!
You sir, are awesome

A new antag "Wraith" got added. If you ever get it, mind recording it? I really want to see it!
Is it a cultist antag, if so its just this wird giant floating black and red ball.
+TheLucasLalo This server is LLJK. They don't have cult rounds.

That was a comment from 2 years ago, he probably knows that now.
Was the wraith really added two years ago? It's been forever since I played.
Woo!
I missed you 'U'

You should do these more. Can you get a recording of you playing as a Xenomorph one round?
Alien mode isn't in the code for GoonStation (what he is playing on). Maybe he will play on another server though.
