    Moments like this remind you that when there’s no pressure, Koryan is unstoppable. Top players can score 800-900k consistently, and it’s all come down to the clutch performance in the tournaments that decide the winner.

    As of 8/29/19 Harry Hong after a rough night has retaken the world record with 1.275.602. crazy. 1.3 can happen anytime from any of these greats.That was amazing, as was this,I really didn't think harry as great as he is could beat Koryans record but damn.I know Koryan will retake it soon im sure.And Joseph should be back in the mix soon as well.

    to put this into perspective, Koryan got the world record and immediately kill-screened. Joseph has gone 3 levels past this point but it still hasn’t been enough. all the pieces and preparation really need to align for 1 perfect game for Joseph and we’ll be looking at a 1.3M+, no doubt in my mind. just a matter of grinding out a lot of games and praying to the Tetris gods until it happens.

    1.3 is definitely humanly possible, if you combine harry hong's 696k transition score with koryan's level 19 game in this game, 1.3 can be smashed

    • @nickhamel2021
      @nickhamel2021 5 лет назад +4

      1.4 is humanly possible if you also add Joseph's post level 28 play, but doing all three of those in one game would be insane!

    • @meow6023
      @meow6023 5 лет назад

      Joseph got a 750k transition and 100k at lv 29 start, so 1.4 is possible, but need rng gods xD

    • @EebstertheGreat
      @EebstertheGreat 5 лет назад +3

      With a level 19 start, if you get all tetrises plus a single on level 28, you can transition to the killscreen at 233 lines with 1,543,160 points. With a level 18 start, you can transition to the killscreen with 1,504,760 points in the same manner. Soft drop adds some additional scoring potential of 1 point per cell dropped. With around 600 pieces by the killscreen, assuming you were lucky enough to be able to play low while still getting only tetrises, you could conceivably soft drop quite a bit, though you can't drop while moving or rotating pieces, which takes minimum two frames per cell, and a lot of pieces will never be able to fall a full 18 cells, so let's guess that an optimal average is 12 points per piece of soft drop (this guess isn't really based on anything, but gives a ballpark figure). That gives around another 7,200 points on the table for 1,550,360 by ks.
      Of course, if you can continue playing past the killscreen, it isn't clear that there is any upper bound to your score (except for hardware/implementation limitations, like 999999 without the ENEOOGEZ game genie code or F99999 = 1,599,999 with it).

    • @CheezTetris
      @CheezTetris 5 лет назад

      Sensei Kang On PAL, mind you. Might think "oh, that means he can do it on NTSC too because PAL 18 is faster", but that extra reaction time changes your decisions when you're a hypertapper. He probably could with the right RNG, but the best JD's gotten on NTSC is like 715k or something
