Thank you for doing this video. I don't think I'm going to be taking mine apart because I have arthritis and I don't think I'd be able to manage it. I absolutely love her beautiful face!
I really love the artwork on her back plate, it’s so pretty! Nice work on the sleep eyes install! I love the Siamese charm SO much, reminds me of my Flounder! 🥰💖
hi, I have many blythe dolls from AliExpress, I like them very much and my favorite is the same model as yours. Her name is Raffy. I'm trying to learn how to change her lips but I don't know how to do it, what tools to use and how to proceed, do you have a detailed tutorial for this? I thank you in advance. Valentina, Rome, Italy
Hello :) My grandfather was from Italy :) If you are talking about carving the lips, that's not something I've done much of. I've played around a little and used an exacto knife. Thank you for your comment.
My doll has one screw in the back of her head that I just can’t get to unscrew no matter how hard I try… any tips or suggestions? The other two came out just fine.
Sometimes I will hold the screwdriver in place and move the doll head around versus turning the screw driver. I also struggle sometimes because I have problems with my hands.
Aw, thank you, I have thought of selling similar dolls where I just do a small amount of customizing on them. If I do that, I'll post about it on my channel for sure.
Definitely can be a challenge 🙈 I also have a hard time with my hands so get yourself thicker handled screwdrivers! One word of caution …. Keep the screw for the t-bar with it. While it may seem the screws are interchangeable… not so much. Sometimes this causes issues with the eye mech functionality. 🙈 Trimming the t-bar will provide Gaze Correction - allows more eyeball movements. Boggling the eyelids is very different and I agree… I like to see a little eyelid. It’s the eyes that really give them character. 🙂
Thanks I was planning on buying a fake Blythe doll for customizing. I was afraid that the fake Blythe couldn't fit any of the Blythe parts especially the faceplate.
@@thecollectorgirl5134 As far as I know, most of the fakes have interchangeable parts. I do have one doll who has a stock faceplate, or so I was told, I don't know the mold, and there are problems with her scalp not fitting exactly, but I bought the doll used, and she has been recustomized, so I don't know the history on her. But, otherwise, I say go for it !
@@TammyPowley I was only going to change the faceplate because someone Blythe dolls face molds have bigger lips than others. And also can you change the eyes on the fakes as well?

The screws are the biggest issues for me, but yes, if you have any kind of hand issues, it can be tricky, not impossible, but tricky.

She is such a beautiful doll if you ever put her in your shop and sell her let me know I'll buy her if your sister doesn't end up keeping her

What size screws??
I don't know the size. They came with the doll.
@@TammyPowley thank you
I’m scared of trying this lol I’m glad you’re talented like that.
Doll is super cute, the extra eye chips are so pretty.
I like tinkering with stuff.

Oh, thank you for those tips. It's funny how that tiny piece of plastic (the T bar) can make it or break it!!
great tips Tammy - i usually use a screw driver as a lever to get the eye mechanism out - hope that helps :)
I'll keep that in mind, thank you
Can the faceplate be replaced on a fake Blythe?
Yes, in fact, you can buy the faceplates (and most all the parts) separately.
